This happens with both shootme, and drocap2. Any ideas?
The G2x has a built-in screenshot capability; you don't need an app (or to be rooted) in order to use it. Just press the "home" button and the power button together, and you'll get a .png in /sdcard/CapturedImages.

My power button was working fine yesterday morning and once in the afternoon
i can't use to power button to make my phone sleep/wake but so i use slide to wake
For somereason now my phone turns on only when i take the battery out then back in, like i changed to settings some how?
when i'm in recovery and it says "press the power button" my phone would do that by itself.. Is it just me?... i flashed the new cm9, then formated everything to see fi it was cm9, but it wasn't.... so yeah now i can't acess the power menu...
I think the button is jamed because it would go on by itself in bootloader, but if that was true it would keep on turning on and off when im on my phone...
I don't think my phone is smart enough to reconfigure itself to turn on by itself when i put in a battery or when i take out the charger..
Can you upload some focused pictures?
LOL itried.... with my samsung camera, didn't focus well ... sorry
my power button worked again, but after like 10 minutes i can't use it
I found the good app which can power off,reboot and reboot recovery for the rooted phone without touch on your hardware power button.
This app can protect the power button life..
app require rooted and grant SU permission.
you can download this app from google play

Ooh that is a very handy app for when your power button breaks, but does this work on all phones and android versions?

How would I do it?
Sent from my F1f using XDA-Developers mobile app
Did you encrypt your phone?
I'm assuming you fiddled with settings as I know you've already been using a lot of other functions in the phone.
I don't know if a wipe of data and cache will do it, but for a stock F1f you can enter stock ColorOS recovery by holding power and vol - buttons in from off and release power button once some action happens. Keep vol - in until it reaches recovery, then choose English by pressing volume up/down to change, power to select.
Have you forgotten the pattern? Or you remember but want to change method?
If you choose another option it will prompt for the unlock then once unlocked you can change it.
There is an option down that says "Clear Credentials" , just click that option and then the "No password " option will be enabled.
Clear Credentials worked, thanks for that tip, it was driving me crazy why it was greyed out ..
My daughter handed me her phone, as she was trying to lock the screen, but the button at the top of the screen wasn't responding. So I held it down for a few seconds to restart the device, which worked, however the following screen appeared:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The only button which responds is the volume up button (which moves the selection down). Volume down and power button don't do anything.
Is the phone bricked?
Thanks.
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
No, the device is not completely bricked, its only soft bricked. That looks like the Bootloader screen to me, You should be able to flash it with its stock firmware to recover the device but I need you to post the model number of the device and the mobile network it is on. Then I can try to help you find the files you'll need and the instructions you'll need to recover the device.
