dont buy this battery - Galaxy S 5 Accessories

i got this from ebay, reviews said it was great and its not it sucks my 6 month old original battery is way better, contacts were clean no marks but water detector is not threre, was 14$ also i dont see any nfc bulge even tho it said it has it and it still activates in the phone but not sure how to test it to see if it is really there or gone
front http://imgur.com/8R4a3r2,wa4ROmi#0
back http://imgur.com/8R4a3r2,wa4ROmi#1
so is this a real battery or did i get get suckered

From the looks of it, it is a fake, a few things I noticed,
1. The recycling symbol is missing
2. It could be due to the products original destination but none of the other Samsung batteries on there website show any chinese lettering on them
3. Like you said I also don't notice the square indent in the left hand corner for the nfc
4. On the litter bin the printer they used looks like it filled in the little empty dot the present on genuine Samsung batteries
5. Its missing its UL standard marks (Nom , NYCE ) , the CE (European Conformity Mark) is present but in every other Genuine Samsung Galaxy battery references online and on my Galaxy 1,2,Nexus,3,4,5 all have the CE mark on the left hand side (from what i noticed online, and this is just an observation it my not be correct, the low end models of Samsung's phones has batteries that vary slightly, this is probably due to outsourcing to lower quality OEMs. This is probably why this battery has the 5 symbol which I only found a few low end replacement batteries from Samsung.
6. The Text on the front that list the serial number is lining up with the barcode on that battery, on the OEM batteries they dont
(I am not an expert in batteries or anything all of these are just observations based on references from Samsung suggested retailed of there OEM batteries)

next time you should either buy from Anker/ZL or some others in Amazon which have great trustworthy ratings , they come with 2 2800 mah batteries and an extra charger cradle which you can use to charge one while you use one in your phone, pretty handy! i have bought the Anker one it is performing good

3 hours off the charger with 1 hour of on screen time i was at 23% and it was full 100% its trash and im gonna try to return it..ebay..never again.

Extended Battery

Well, I've gone ahead and pulled the trigger on an extended battery and back cover for my S710 since I got it used and the battery is half way after a full day usage and I need more since I'm not always near a charger for a few days - though I am happy it can charge via miniUSB since most people have one for their digital cameras.
So I shall update once I receive it and we shall see truly how uncomfortable it will be with the larger battery door. And it was only $25 shipped on eBay. 2250mAh of goodness will soon be arriving.

you mind putting up some pictures of how it looks with the extended battery? side views, and comparisons with the orgiinal side by side shots if possible.
oh and what kind use do you use it for, do you have bluetooth on, wifi on? or both off? etc.

more info here
I have mine already a couple of days. By mistake they send me the wrong lid , I got the one from the S630. Wow, what a biiiig device that is. I'm happy having a Vox
So, they immediately send me another cover, waiting for it now to arrive....
Woah, looks big with the extended battery and cover on it, lol. Hopefully it's still useable. birdibird, when you get your cover - post up some pics, also if you could tell us where you got it, how much and if your new cover still has the rubbery HTC feel to it (when it arrives).
I'll post up some pics of mine when it comes in!
I was wondering how many days of use do you have with those 2250-2300MAh batteries??
I read that someone bought them from megacapacity, others from eBay, others from gpsforless, and others from BoxWave
Can we make list from what of those batteries bought from where, went good and waht went bad?? also advising the other from wich ebayers we should not buy?
Is it allowed by the forum's rules?
Think it would be usufull to everyone
I bought one from eBay and one from BoxWave. They are both the exact same thing. I also still have mine for sale, used for roughly one week. The only subtle issue with them both - is that the contact pads are recessed too much. I had to pad them with copper in order for the pins on the Vox to reach properly. You can also pull the pins out of the Vox a few mm which will assist.
Thanks H4waii
for your cooperation!
ANy other experiences?? Fro what I remeber you where quite a few who bought an extended battery...
Hello! I use extended battery for about a year. What to say... It gives me a chance not to think bout battery at last one day using Vox (calls, GPRS, music, reading and also playing games).
To say, I'm going to buy one more extended battery, because ... I like my Vox but such battery can disappear from the market...

2xBatteries, Wall charger, cable, all for £8.45

OK, so I just risked ebay and purchased the following for the totally ridiculous cheap price of £8.45 including delivery.
Now it could overheat, or blow up and kill me, but if not I'll post results here so everyone can get in on the deal. At this rate I'll never go without power.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290456084597
Package included:
1 x USB Wall Battery Charger (US Standard)
1 x UK Standard Plug Adapter
1 x USB Hotsync & Charger Cable
2 x Spare Battery (1500mAh)
3 x Free Screen Protector
if it sounds to good to be true it usually is, but I would be interested in your review of this purchase
HOLY MRD! i can't believe it.
I'll order a set as well and take my chances
the battery "appears" to be real, obviously they are fakes.
the battery charger is good though, i have one like that for my HTC Athena, and 2 batteries for my HTC Athena, so i can trust those just fine.
i don't really need the screen protector, since i'm installing the Mirror Type
i'll keep these 3 plus the other xtra i got from another purchase as spares
OMG! it was free shipping too !!!!!!!!!!
and that is a reputable seller, WOW! i can't believe the deal.... well it's all paid for, lets see how they works when it arrives.
has anyone received their batteries from this ebay order yet? any good or duds?
it will take at least a week for it to arrive
ordered mine now.
but the thought of breaking open the battery cover to recycle the batteries is making me uneasy.
who designed the battery cover samsung?
I agree with the thought of taking the back on and off over and over again, its the same design as my other £5 LG102! Haha
This seems too good to be true...
waiting for your feedback
still haven't arrive yet
on the listing it even states that its not the original battery
"Quality is 100% guaranteed, Not Original"
Looks good. Don't know whether I'd trust fake batteries though.
A lot of engineers say that the worst thing you can do to any device is to use fake batteries. careful now!

Hell from Germany,
I recieved my package yesterday. 2 Accus, Loader, 3 Screenprotectors and 1 MicroUSB-Cable for 10,- Euros incl. shipping!!!
://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170516320142&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I´ve loading both accus, they are working fine, like the Original One.
The loader has a big LED, changing the light from red to blue when the accu is full.
The loader has an extra USB-Port for loading a phone directly.
In fact, a very cool deal. ))))
Greez,
thomkat
Cool, thanks for the feedback. I'm interested in the screen protectors, as I haven't got around to buying any yet. How is the fit, and the screen responsiveness. Is it a generic 4" screen protector, or is it one that is designed for the Galaxy S, and fits the whole front panel.
Can you upload any pics of the kit?
it appears you are trying to say:
accus = batteries
loader = battery charger

i have to agree with this, the "fake" batteries i purchased for the HTC Athena, one of them died already, after only 2~3 weeks of use, it did not explode or anything like that, just the plastic case was made of cheap plastic and it broke after several swap/in & swap/out

You´re right,
in Germany batterie means = not for charging
but charger is the word Iám looking for, my mistake.
Thank´s
also thinking about getting this so will be interested in your thoughts. for me even if the batteries last me afew hours they will be handy while im charging my original one because with even moderate use the sgs is only good for 8-9 hours.
no worries, the after market batteries they last very long some even longer than the original battery, the only danger is when you charge it, they might explode if not charged properly.
i keep a simple rule to never charge the FAKE batteries inside the phone, i only charge the fake batteries using an External charger.

buyers beware **fake Samsung charger system**

sorry if this has been posted already. Ive always had an extra battery to with me with each of my past phones (og EVO, Epic Touch, Galaxy S3) my EVO lte was an obvious exception. I just hate being tethered to a charger, well I searched and found a nice Samsung charger and extra 2600mah battery system on Amazon, never had a problem with Amazon ever. I order the charger, receive it the next day, when I checked it (my wife had opened it and charged the battery for me by the time I got home from work so I didnt bother looking at the packaging) I get to checking it out and it just kinda felt cheaply made, I shrugged it off. fast forward to the next day, the time comes that I need the extra battery, I pop it in and boot the phone up..........it shows only 94% and it drained pretty quickly (this kinda went with what I initially thought) I then said "eh prolly because its a new battery) next day same thing, I start researching and find info on fake Samsung batteries, the battery had no sign of the moisture indicator was the first clue, second was it said "made in China, assembled in Corea" went home and inspected the packaging, no signs of the hologram Samsung logo anywhere looked at the charger a bit more, while its a great knock off, it just feels cheap and well fake, had it not been for the battery not taking a full charge, I would have thought nothing of it, of course Im sure NFC would not have worked either, but I rarely ever use it. I went ahead and orderd a real charging system from Samsung and sadly it didnt cost much more than the knock off

I bought the same thing from Amazon.
The OEM battery from Samsung is indeed the b600bu.
Comparing the original VZW one with the VZW tag on it. I don't see much of a difference but the moisture indicator as you said doesn't have the red x's as on the VZW but there is a sticker on there and not sure what happens to this sticker if it gets wet.
I haven't noticed a problem with the battery life personally on the OEM + battery charger one.
Mine OEM replacement only says made in Korea, nothing about china.
The Original VZW says Manufactured by Yongbo, cell from japan, manufactured in china.
I don't remember looking for the hologram sticker when I opened the package. Guess I should have checked. LOL.
The battery charging system is white with grey lettering.
Being that I have the 7500 lemon, 2 of these 2600 mah, and one 5200, I get good use out of the charger and swap out whenever and however I tend to need things.
I bet this wasn't sold and shipped by Amazon.
that would be the first thing I look at. I know there many counterfeits from china.
I would not trust buying any battery no matter how cheap (unless I was expecting a fake) not sold and shipped by amazon or Samsung.
just too many fakes out there.
the charging system is super cheap with the coupon for registering your s4 anyhow, I would not get it anywhere else.

Mine was from Amazon LLC. It's partially why I didn't bother looking for holograms when I opened it.

was the item bought direct from amazon or the amazon market where people can list their items.
from you description, it's still hard to confirm it's fake.
many samsung batteries are shipped without the moisture indicator sticker and hologram, and their batteries are now made in many countries and assembled in many countries, which includes china.
try going through a few more charges and see what happens, or just return it for a refund.
FYI, I bought a genuine Samsung 2600mah battery from Phones4U (£25 - free with a coupon I had).
Whenever I charge this or the battery that came with my phone using an external Anker battery charger (Previously bought for 1600mah/1900mah S2 batteries) it will only charge it to 94%.
It's probably a problem with the external charger and not the battery?
nah guys almost 100% certain its a fake, the battery that was included only charges to 94% and discharges fast, the oem battery that came with my phone charged to 100% twice in the questionable charger. This was an item sold by one seller and fulfilled by Amazon (what ever this means) the seller I bought it from (yes I know I should have checked feedback before buying it but when I saw fulfilled by Amazon, I let my guard down) had several complaints of the same thing thing Im most offended by is the fact that it cost $40, I could have just ordered this from Samsung for $50 (which I ended up doing Sunday btw)
You rally have to be careful with those Corean devices. The Corean people just don't have the same work ethic and quality control standards as the Koreans who build the actual Samsung products.
Hahahah!
That's the great thing about Chinese knockoffs. They always get one little detail wrong like that to make it obvious its a fake. Like the fake iPhone will have the apple logo with the bite out of the wrong side. Or the HTC knockoff will have HTC's logo spelled with capital letters instead of lower case. But getting Korea wrong....I mean its like walking distance from China. How do you screw that up?
Anyway Amazon will refund you since it was fulfilled by Amazon. They won't even give you a hard time about it.
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.

LOL got a good laugh out of your post :good: my father in law ordered it for me because he has a prime membership, he said Amazon is going to refund the money
Ok, just received the charger and battery I ordered direct from Samsung (cost $10 more than the fake one) and let me tell you, big difference in the weight of the charger itself, the battery is also a bit heavier, the LED doesnt constantly stay lit (the fake chargers LED stayed lit with battery in it or not, the Samsung part does not) and the packaging is all together different, and the Samsung one included a wall plug in micro usb cord :good:

5380mAh battery for GS5A with the same size as the original. Opinions?

Hi guys
I was looking for replacement batteries for my Galaxy s5 active
I found the OEM, of course:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/112007844601
It has 2800 mAh
Then I found this one
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261585921173
A generic "Best4Power" that claim to have 5380mAh, 2580 more than the original, in the SAME battery size.
What do you guys think? could it be too good to be true?
It's fake. If you're lucky it MIGHT be 3500mAh.
Don't bother looking for batteries that claim to be higher capacity that are the same size as the original Samsung battery. Alternatively you could always have a second battery and charge it directly using a pug in battery charger. Or another option is try the mutagen batteries but be warned they can be pretty expensive.
I see, I ended up buying a couple of OEM batteries. Thanks guys, thread can be locked.
If you maximum battery, check with Zerolemond to see if your phone will be compatible with the S5 series. I have been using their extended battery in my S5 since last August and it is working just fine. My wife, who has the same S5 and standard battery, has had to replace her already. I have their battery on my S5 and S4 with a backup purchase if my S5 battery finally dies.
I replaced mine with an original one, maybe not very good autonomy but I'm satisfied
dude, theres no way the "OEM" one is real. 9ish dollars is too cheap. I've seen some pretty good looking fakes. But there are a few ways to spot the difference. depth of contacts, having an NFC antenna, having engraving when the cover is peeled off, size of the metal part (can only tell when the cover is peeled off), general external quality and details are a few quick ways to tell. Bought one last week that was not a bad looking fake. But still fake nontheless. Nervous about putting it in my phone so just got a refund.
Better buy it a original then fake crap thats what i did.

Need a trusted source for Genuine original battery

As per title, banggood used to sell them and I have heard gearbest can be dodgy for counterfeit stuff, Are there any trusted sellers where we can get a real original battery?
You are right, it is pretty hard to be sure you are receiving an actual Xiaomi original battery based on just a web page description. Even given multiple batteries that look identical, and then opting for the one with a higher price on the assumption that it really is original, well, that is absolutely not definitive (at least not in my experience--I have been burned a bunch of times like this...). I think the only way is maybe to buy it directly from Xiaomi because I think even bigger China-based retailers (Banggood, DX, Gearbest, etc.) buy merchandise to resell thinking it is actually authentic only to find out it is just a good fake job. I'm not sure how to get around this. Because this is the case, nowadays, I usually just look on Aliexpress, find a vendor with a good rating and a high number of orders, and go with it. This is based on the assumption that actual experiences and word of mouth have led to a high rating and high number of orders, but neither is this a guarantee.
I did recently purchase a second battery for my RN2 on Aliexpress, and it cost a bit less than US$6 including shipping. It seems to perform as well as the original battery. Although you might see BM45 replacement batteries which offer up to 4000 mAh of capacity, the only way to be really sure about this is to use a USB voltage/amperage tracker during charging that also tallies mAh, and then account for nominal USB vs Li-ion voltage, i.e. 5V vs. 3.7V, and an efficiency factor.
Anyway, in the long run, I have probably not answered your question about a source for an original Xioami battery. But I can say my <US$6 one bought on Aliexpress seems to work as well as the original. Good luck with the search!
It's difficult to find a genuine battery and I beware who claim his battery have more mAh than the original one.
So I bought a Nohon battery from AliExpress and I'd say it's a good replacement.
+1 for Nohon battery. Good, after-market battery

LOL. Yeah my ORIGINAL battery looks like a balloon and it's now hard to close the back cover so I did order the Nohon battery. :silly:
I don't think that you can find the real original battery any more. In general, Dragon TT is a good source for parts, but they haven't had them in stock for a while. I ended up getting a Nohon battery (from what's supposed to be their factory store on Ali) and it seems pretty good. The capacity seems to be on par with the original, back when it was new, and it doesn't drop from 100 to 90% as soon as you start using the phone, like the original did. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, though.
Nohon batteries bad design
Hi,
I write just to warn about Nohon battery and their supposed 6 month warranty.
I had a bad experience asking support about a new battery bought through Aliexpress on 2018/09/09. The battery was a BM35 model designed for Mi 4C phone and has a loosen connector as shown in the photo attached. I had some experience with different brand spare batteries, because as we all know it is almost impossible to find original xiaomi batteries and rarely the replaced battery has a capacity similar to the original so it wears out faster, but this is the first time I see such a poor designed connector. I had the original one and other two third-brand BM35 batteries and usually the ribbon connector is a whole part fixed under the battery shoulder, instead the Nohon ribbon wire seems to be a different kind of plastic less flexible and more easy to cut, or simply not well fixed under the battery shoulder and easy to detach. I think this could lead to a potentially dangerous short-circuit of the battery itself and damage the phone too.
Obviously I reported this issue through Aliexpress dispute system directly to Nohon store and even if my battery should have been replaced inside the 6 month warranty, I received a joking reply telling me they would have let me know in a hypothetical future and they never replied anymore to the next message.

Does the quick charge work with this Nohon battery?
It does, the battery charges as quickly as the original one did, at around 2A.
