[Q] Unbrick / debrick Hardbricked Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus - General Questions and Answers

Hi.
I'm a complete noob, but I have spent weeks reading the various forums, and pretty sure no-one has answered my question elsewhere. Thanks in advance for any help pointing me in the right direction.
I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus GT-S7580L that I hard bricked trying to flash a custom ROM (solaris trend by pollog09) using CWM recovery, superSU root and Odin to flash. (I had previously successfully flashed Sandpox's cyanogen mod, successfully, but it was very unstable) I have since replaced the phone and don't need it, but I want to learn this stuff.
Phone is hard bricked: No vibrate, no LEDs, no boot, no download mode, no recovery mode, no recognition by PC ( linux / win). (Battery is fine, and appears to charge when in phone and connected to wall charger)
I have tried to enter recovery mode with USB jig - no response at all (jig works in other phone)
I have tried to create a debrick image file to try boot from SD card - not sure if I did this correctly:
- I installed CWM recovery 6.0.3.7 onto my new, identical phone, copied the T999_Partial_Sys_Dump_for_debrick.zip file from " [HARD BRICK ?] - I919x - Make your debrick.img and have it on extSdCard by security " as is onto an SD card, booted into recovery and installed it from SD card. It seemed to work and generated a debrick.img' file. i then used win32diskimager to write this to a 4GB SD card - i could only source a class 4 4GB card (no-one makes small SD cards anymore, and I don't think they ever had C10 ones) I tried this debrick image on SD card (as well as on 16GB C10 SD card) in my bricked phone - nothing. Tried numerous times and numerous rewrites (>20)
Q1: Did I go about making a debrick.img file correctly?
Q2: Does anyone have a debrick image of Samsung Galaxy trend Plus GT-S7580L available for me to try?
Q3: Are there any other options other than a paid for JTAG? How likely is it JTAG will work
Q4: Are there DIY JTAG solutions? - I'm prepared to sacrifice the phone, do some soldering?
Thanks

Yes, appears to be the same ROM, looks like the same link I found from the HTCmania pages - (I don't speak italian) https://mega.co.nz/#!9ZIhXZBK!0LYtGkruoEiHu16Iqul-6fPPeR5BioRpAgs54jKpdXQ - I downloaded it 20/3/2015, though my version is 493MB and the current mega link is 470MB.
Whilst flashing it thru Odin, it just hung - I left it >5 hours (cf the stock ROM and cyanogen ROM were flashed in ~10 min.) Odin froze completely, no sign of progress) Finally I just unplugged it, as a hardbrick.
FWIW, not sure where but somewhere i read that it worked with both GT-S7580 and G-S7580L. (never trust what you read on the internet?)
My closest JTAG service have let me know they cannot repair it. Looking at the RIFF JTAG boxes available on eBay, GT-S7580L is not well supported. Time to mount it in lead and use as a doorstop.
But still keen to know how to make a debrick image, and try someone else's version...

Hard Brick? and how to fix? on SGS3 i535 4.1.2

So it appears as if my Samsung Galaxy s3 running i535 and 4.1.2 has become "Hard Brick" somehow. The screen just stays black and wont light up. If i plug it into a wall charger or my computer the LED light will go into its reddish-orange color but i am unable to enter the modes that articles suggest such as download mode and recovery mode. I just read the post of the person unbricking it by using a class 10, 16gb microsd card and .img files along with a program called ODIN. Would someone be able to please link me to very detailed instructions on how to do it and all the proper files. I believe i would need a file from someone;s currently rooted phone. I dont want to send my phone away and pay for a JTAG
Thanks for any help that you can provide.

I bricked my phone and came across the same information regarding the class 10 card. I can't post links but youtube search "Unbrick HARD BRICKED Galaxy S 3 on Verizon (i535, CDMA)"
He explains how to do it in a roundabout way. He also has links in description, I believe.

[Completed] [Q] Urgent! My samsung galaxy S3 stuck on twrp recoverry.please read

im stuck in team win recovery project and cant find a way out on my s3.i tried to reboot system but it says .No OS INSTALLED!ARE YOU SURE YOU WISH TO REBOOT?THEN IT SAYS YOUR DEVICE DOESS NOT APPEAR TO BE ROOTED.INSTALL SUPERSU NOW?SO IT SAYS TWO OPTIONS DO NOT INSTALL OR SWIPE TO INTALL.I SWIPE TO INSTALL.IT SUPPOSELY INSTALLS IT AND NOW IM BACK WHERE I STARTED I TRIED EVERYTHING TO LOAD MY PHONE AGAIN BUT ALL IT DOES IS TAKES ME THE TWRP MENU!!!!!WHAT SHOULD I DO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused????????
Hi,
I see 2 choices, since recovery works...
Either download a rom to a micro SD card with another device... Put the card in your phone and flash the rom from it.
Or use Odin to flash your stock firmware.
Here's a frequently asked questions thread in the S3 section. You didn't specify your carrier version/model number, so be sure to use files made for your device for flashing.

Good luck!

No OS installed, don't know what region of firmware to download

So I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy S6 today using TWRP and it got stuck in a boot loop. I went to wipe to cache and accidentally wiped to system. So now there is no OS installed. I know I need to somehow put an OS on the device but I'm in Canada and when I go to samsung's site to download the firmware, there is no Canada option. I bought the phone off of amazon and it came with a European wall charger because it was imported, but how do I know what firmware to download?
Also, when I have found the right firmware, how do I flash it onto the device? I can no longer access TWRP, all I can get is the downloading screen thing. Can I use Odin/how do I use Odin?
Somebody help me I'm panicking because I broke my brand new phone!
You should check the Amazon listing to see which model number you have. It's probably SM-920F.
Once you have the correct firmware downloaded, Google a guide to flashing Galaxy S6 firmware with Odin. There are a lot of them out there.

On the back of the phone it should say which model you have, for example G920F, G920W8, G920P etc.
Download the proper firmware from Sammobile, then follow the tutorial that the following thread has a link to.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925f-s6-firmware-thread-t3078841
If the variant you have is the European model, G920F, I recomend you install the unbranded firmware.
IMPORTANT! MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE PROPER FIRMWARE! INSTALLING THE WRONG FIRMWARE CAN HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE!
I really hope this advice helped!
Really important is only that you pick the right model to download. The region isn't that important. Go to sammobile and download your stock rom, but be sure to not pick a branded one, because they are full of junk.
Also, you must use ODIN in that Download-Mode. Open ODIN, plug your device into your pc and see, if ODIN shows up your device. If yes, select "PDA" or "AP" (depending on ODIN Version) and select your ROM that you have downloaded. Then click on start. Don't touch your phone, your cable or your computer for best results. Wait ODIN say "PASS" with a green background. If this occurs, your phone should restart and after 10 mins or so, it should boot Android.
I did the same this as the OP, now I am stuck on the main "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Powered by Android" screen. I can boot into TWPR and into download. I have tried flashing zip from external SD card with USB-OTG with no luck, I have tried flashing from Odin, multiple Odin versions tried, multiple usb cords tried, multiple computers tried.. all result with <ID:x/xxx> Can't open serial(COM) port."
No matter what I do, I can't seem to get anything to take, not stock firmware or otherwise. Any suggestions.. donations for anyone who can help me solve. lol $$

In odin under options untick Auto Reboot.
Flash Rom
Phone wont reboot once rom has flashed successfully so you will need to do manual reboot.
Go into recovery mode and wipe data.
Reboot phone
that should help let us know if it works
wifi wont turn on

I can't even get any firmware to load as odin continually stops within seconds of starting to flash phone, no matter what firmware I choose it's the same result failed flash?

Samsung Galaxy Neo 4 SM-G318Mul Hard Brick No Download Mode dead screen

Hi everyone,
I got a real cheap cell phone to have it as a backup cell phone, it already came soft bricked, I was able before to enter into download mode. So, after lots of attempts (even I had already fixed other cell phones with same issue), Odin would say PASS but phone would continue with the same issue, stuck in logo, nothing else, no loop or anything, just stuck in logo. For my last attempt I tried flashing 4 files, including PIT file, and theeere it is, stopped working. So, I actually bought a usb jig and did not work. Any other suggestions? I gave a look into a youtube video titled "FIX DEAD / Unbrick Samsung Galaxy S3 i747M - Easy Method using SD card & debrick image" and it looks pretty solid but I have no idea where to get a repair image for my model or how to mount it into the SD card. Please help, this is really frustrating.

The method you're speaking of is this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581166
The tools are there and the "how to", you just need the debrick.img for your specific model number, find someone here with a rooted device just like yours with the same model number and firmware, get them to pull a debrick.img from there device, it's fairly simple using the Terminal Emulator app and the correct command. I've used it to make a debrick.img for my S3 but my command is slightly different than yours. I don't know the exact command you'll need for yours so you'll have to research that yourself.
If the jig didn't work and the device no longer charges or vibrates when you press power then your device is hardbricked and this method is probably a waste of your time.

[SM-A013M] Unable to boot into android

Hi,
I was trying to root a Samsung Galaxy A01 Core I had lying around but messed up somewhere in the process and can't figure out how to get it to boot back into android. I've tried different versions of TWRP and OrangeFox but none of them seem to work with this model. The closest I've gotten to booting android is getting the samsung logo by flashing a stock ROM that does identify as Samsung Official in download mode. I can't interface with it through ADB or fastboot and I've tried all the fixes I could find such as a different cable, extracted PIT and removing the SIM card. This phone is not at all important but I would like to use it for projects.
Is there any hope of getting this phone back into working order? Please say something if there is any information that could help.
