[Q] Upcoming MTK6795 Phones - General Questions and Answers

Does anybody know any upcoming smartphones which feature the new MediaTek MTK6795 processor and hopefully a 20,7 megapixel Sony camera to feature 480fps super slow motion function? Thanks in advance!

Hay
I think HTC e9 and e9+ will feature mtk6795 at least in China. Also there is some talk about some Chinese phonemakers using it but nothing official yet. Hope I helped

HUAWEI U8860

There are a lot of mobiles like that in the C2C mall. For example: aliexpress, dhgate, ebay, 365gate...
Strongly recommend that you select Huawei phones, cost-effective, fast software updates.
There are other brands: lenovo, meizu, xiaomi, zte, oppo, coolpad...
I have a LG Optimus Black but it's not a dual core processor.
What do you think about Optimus 2X? It's available in Brazil.

Although, I am using Huawei Honor U8860 but that is not a Dual Core Mobile phone. You may refer to Huawei Ascend P1.
I am not sure regarding the custom roms, but I am sure it a great phone.
don't buy huawei D1.
huawei doesn't support it well and there wouldn't be new version (4.2) for it.

Hello Anexonel13,
did you receive already your HDC 9500 plus?
I want to order also 2 pieces (any recommandation for a shop ?), but I dont want to get the same dillema as with HDC S3 i9300 EX: GPS still NOT working .
So my only important question would be: Does the GPS work fine or is it true, that HDC is not able to solve this problem for all theyr phones??
thanks a lot

oje, oje, oje - me to: when I ordered my B92M (=Galaxy S3 i9300) from FCT, it tooks me 37 days until I received it. Innumerable emails after receipt concerning not working GPS were ignored by them - never again with this company !!
But hopefully you are luckier than I was - and hopefully GPS works fine with this phone...

Morning Anexonel13,
I don´t want to annoy you, but I have a big request: Could you short test GPS signal? I will have to order today, as a friend of mine (he is currently in Shanghai) will bring the mobile with one - therefore I have to order today, otherwise he will not receive it in time.....
So it would be great if you can just do a 2 minutes check outside if GPS gets a fix or not...
thanks a lot

I got it straight from a seller in China not an international seller, so mine might have some exterior "flaws"

Hi everybody!, I've bought this cellphone from dhgate.com. I've receive it last Wednesday and It is an awesome device for being so cheaper, it only cost me $199.
I have root it, I'm using it as my main device in my daily life, and I have found this disadvantages so far:
* GPS doesn't work
* This cellphone only works with 850/2100 mhz for WCDMA, so I have to use it in EDGE mode.
It moves very fast with the MT6589 quad-core and 1GB RAM. Battery Life is a very good point for this device, and it counts with a 12,6 MP front camera.
It is a good device and really looks like the real SGS4 .
Byeee :good:

[Q] Dual sim android phone recommendations

Hi all, would appreciate if anyone can give me recommendations for a dual sim android phone.
Here are the main things I care about, more or less in order of importance:
1. Great battery life (or ok battery life with removable battery and spare battery readily available to buy)
2. Powerful/fast - lots of memory, fast processor, preferably up-to-date android OS
3. Pre-loaded with android play store and upgradeable (if I understand correctly some of the Chinese dual sim phones have issues here)
4. Decent camera & resolution
That's about it, not asking for much then
I care less about weight, thickness, screen size (although less than 4" would be a pain), funky features & bloatware etc.
I've looked at a few choices like samsung galaxy grand 2, huawei g700, htc one dual sim, but reviews seem mixed and most seem to do badly in one or more of the above.
My only experience with dual sim was the samsung galaxy grand 1, and I didn't like it because I thought the battery life was pretty bad, underpowered and screen quality surprisingly awful.
If you know of any phones that fit the bill or you're using one that you think would be good please let me know.
Thanks!
Hmm, maybe what I'm after doesn't exist.
If anyone is using a dual sim android phone please let me know your experience so I can make some choice.
Anyone using the samsung grand 2? If that's like the one with better battery life and runs smoothly might go for that
The Best SmartFone available in Its Range is Gionee Elife E6.
You can have a try at that..!
Thanks, I'll check it out

You could consider galaxy S5, or S4, or HTC Desire 816, I wouldn't recommend a no name brand even thought it might seem a deal price - specifications, notice how all got 4.2.2 Android and will probably stay that way for good, too many compromises, I know from experience..
Purchase the Videocon A24... Thats a superb phone for you.. And also for me

Hi,
Have you tried posting your question here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846277 ?
And I would personally suggest the Le Pro 3 if you don't care about software updates and custom roms.
If you do care about those, you might wind up getting one of the Xiaomi you cited.
Or you could get the Xiaomi Mi A1 with stock Android (Android One) on the expense of less processor power (but good software).

Actually, I was wrong about that!
Usually, LeEco doesn't officially update their phones (what a shame!), but XDA has great support for few of them and luckily for you, the LeEco Pro 3 is one of those. You can check out in the Le Pro 3 development forum.
I'd say that the Le Pro 3 has more software support than the Mi Note 2 and the Mi 5. Xiaomi also doesn't really provide periodic updates. And the Le Pro 3 has more support on XDA than these phones.
Thank you so much

Pretty cool that you found that out... i even didn't have a look cause i thought there is no support at all
But i think i will go with the le Pro3
Ye you are right with Xiaomi, but if they bring huge updates they include nearly every device they ever made ( f.e. MIUI 9 update)
so i will have a look if i find a good sales price !
thank you so much for your help !
