I would love to try this out. But I would prefer a free apk for now and will be willing to pay for it if it meets my needs. Many of 3rd party browsers have a free version for users to test the product out.

The free apk will get more users to try it and decide if they want to buy the paid one

Hi guys thank you for the suggestions, i have considered making a free and a paid version but there is really nothing i can do other than placing adds on the free version which i think would be a bad choice and will be ruining the purpose of the app. I understand there is a lot of free browsers out there, most from big companies, however i am nowhere near that level, that is why i have decided to leave just a paid version for a small amount for those that would like to support and provide a free .apk for those that are interested in communities like XDA.
Can you guys send me your emails so could send you the app. Again thank you.

I would also love to try but also prefer a free app to test

Seconded

Hey u can add base colour change and ad-block in paid version

Thank you for your suggestion, I will consider it. I am still working on making the app better and keeping it minimal at the same time. Ad block seems a good idea. I will see how everything goes and if there is demand and I can find a way to justify having both a free and a paid version I will make it happen. Thank you again

I'm also interested to try this browser.
As a suggestion, if no one said this before, maybe pie controls would be a nice addition, like a downloadable plugin, so users can choose if they want to use up more memory?
And what about swiping on the url bar to navigate through pages. Like swiping from right to left would mean going forward and swiping left from right would mean going back.

Added Free .apk in first post!

I would like to try this app. :good:

Would love to try it too

Hi,
thanks for apk...
So..first try..
The app looks realy nice..the sidebar is a realy good idea..
But iam missing the browser settings?
Are there still there?
I use a lg g3 d855 which has only virtual buttons, no hardware one.
So i cant open the options if there are still there
Maybe you could add small tabs to change the browser pages..
Have a look at naked browser..
I think with the arrows its not easy to switch between the tabs..
Idea...could you inplement a sidebar on right side which are hold as a small picture the tab??
Thanks

Very good browser thumbs up :good: :good: :good: .
But i think an speed dial is necessary for every browser

Light means small, fast and easy to use!
Are you tired of complicated operations and features when surfing the internet? And bored with the low speed when loading the webpage either?
If the answer is ‘Yes’, then you need a ‘Light’ browser!
Light Browser is a fascinating browser!
It can improve the browsing speed, and save the memory of your device. And especially suitable for the devices which the size of screen is limited.
The most important is that, it’s Easy!
Although it doesn’t support lots of complex features, it DOES meet most of the users’ needs. And since the small size of the app, the loading speed is much faster than others.
Features:
1. Gallery View
2. Share Link/page
3. Bookmark Management
4. Screenshot
5. Find on Page
Not only the using, but the UI is also simple and comfortable! Generally the Light Browser will make you fondle admiringly.
*English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian are supported in this version.

I'd suggest you remove the ad from the top if you're saying it's especially suitable for devices with small screens.
It's taking a big chunk out of my Galaxy Ace.
Or, provide a way to remove ads, for example, download a paid licence.

Yeah. Until then, guess I'll wait till it will be removed.
May be u make a 'one time click for today' ads. Means those ad will come back again tomorrow after user have pressed it once a day.
Definitely a win-win situation for me.

Interesting, let me try. :fingers-crossed:
Really small
This browser is really small , I try it just now ,very fast.
As soon as I noticed the ad right on top I uninstalled it. Lame.
Kudos for a really fast browser. Suggestions :
1. Ads should be placed at bottom. As design language says that browsing experience has to be least distracting. And our eyes while browsing gaze 60% of screen from top. So shifting ads to bottom on a slimmer bar will solve problem to some extent. If this free version really wins heart partially it will automatically pave the way for ad free premium version.
2. Please implement holo theme for menus or just design a fresh UI for yourself. But don't include gingerbread design. This makes the browser a foreign feel on ics and jb. Best option would be to go for a signature menu, design like opera or dolphin did for themselves to keep consistent over various os and creating brand impact.
All the luck with your effort.

Will this app work with drag racing?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Why don't you try out yourself? However, I checked out Drag Racing and unfourtunately it seems like that game at least does not store money via Shared Preferences.
Anyway, I want to state again that this app is rather developed for scientific purposes and for those who are just curious. I think that quite a lot games unfourtunately do not use Android's Shared Preferences to store relevant data. Try it for such purpose, but I do not want to make any promises. I just emphasized that point in the hope of getting a little more attention, but people do not seem to be that interested in that app anyway.
Push again.
... and maybe once again. :/
Push once again. Can't believe, that people acually rate this app bad (two stars) because it needs root access! What the ****... However, I do not believe that it was someone from this forum. But anyway - kind of makes me angry, haha. :/

It's perfect.
I like i like.
Compliment.
Thank you, guys. That were finally some constructive and nice comments...
Unfourtunately, the majority of Android users, however, seems to be dumb. I just received another two comments. They both rated the app one star.
"scheise ...x" (which is german for "sh*t")
"f*cken root"
Well, thats some very constructive feedback, I love it. :/ Stupid idiots.

users without shouldnt even have the posibility to rate such apps (wich need root to install)
as they can't try it why they should have a opinion?
True words. But what am I supposed to do else but checking if the app gets root access at the start and displaying an error if it doesn't? Unfourtunately, there is no option at the developer console to disable the download for unrooted phones. :/
But thanks for feedback.
Thank you very much for building this app - I thought it was just what I was looking for! However I have a problem although I'm not sure its necessarily the app's problem. Basically I'm editing the preferences for a live wallpaper which looks in a folder for photos to display. Using your app I can open the preferences file and edit the string relating to the path of the folder. However it has no effect on the app - regardless of whether I open, restart or manipulate the app - all that happens is the preference file gets overwritten with the previous values. Its almost as if the live wallpaper isn't doing a getpreferences call?
Hi privatesam. This might be too late to answer, but anyway... Well, I have no idea what could be the matter here. I would make sure that the wallpaper app is not running in the background. I don't know if that helps. I hope so.
Well, friends, I made a small update this sunday. Basically, I just improved the UI a little bit. And - to be honest - I included another monetization method than AdMob, since my income was that bad with those AdMob banners (eCPM at around 0,05 $...) and I put a lot of work into this app. I'm sorry... I hope, you are not mad at me. I just wanted to give it a try (for those being interested, this ad network is called StartApp Mod Edit: Link Removed. - read about it first, for example here).
Again, please don't be mad at me for trying out this more "intrusive" ad network... Most of you won't notice it anyway I guess (using AdAway).
Hi. Let's give this a push.
Toy defense 2
Hi buddy, can you tell me if or how can I use this for cheat in the Toy defense 2? I think it is imposibble, but I am LAMA thanks for response
I did a small update yesterday. I included some support/help texts and removed some intrusive advertisement due to lots of negative feedback and some false virus alerts (still using StartApp, though). And also because of the Google Play Store policy changes, of course.
A also found a video on YouTube. It does belong to me. I distance myself from its content and the shown use. It is somehow a proof, however, that my app works and how it works.
@honza.chlan:
Since no developer is forced to USE Shared Preferences, this app (Toy Defense 2) might use another way to store their settings. For example on some servers in the internet. CheatDroid does not work everywhere.
Push.

With android available as cheap as 50 bucks, dumb people are getting on the train, don't know what root is,andd blame the dev for it,ITS NOT A ROOT YOUR PHONE APP, NEITHER WORKS WITHOUT ROOT,and if you can't get these simple fkin lines in your mind, then God save the devs, BTW,hats off to dev for working, for making my gaming easier and yes it's your right to earn something you worked on by having ads and our right to block them by adaway, hehehe

Even more with the new DayDram mode on Android 4.2 you could have your facts randomly displayed when the devices are docked or charging.

Some updated functionalities include:
* Report false facts
* Copy the fact to clipboard and use/share it wherever you want!
Hope you like it, let me know your suggestions!
Force closes when I press "copy to clipboard" but other than that, cool.
Personally, if I were you, I would add a possibility to hide all the buttons at the buttom of screen for users who wouldn't use them. Maybe make the text a bit smaller (it's bigger on my 2.3.7 Gingerbread than on your screenshots, though) and maybe make the text "justify aligned" (I'm a bit fan of "justify alignment", lol)... Just some tips to make the app look a bit more simplistic, maybe.

Possibly.
Make a text size adjuster too, if you can .. and maybe center allign the text if "justify" is not possible in Androd (I dont think it is).

Any shortcuts availble?
Is it possible to have a shortcut to launch the gesture field directly without having to press the tab? It would also go nicely combined with an invisible tab.

Hello, thanks for sharing your thoughts about the app. A -almost- invisible tab icon is a great idea and I will get on it soon.
As for the shortcut, do you mean having it instead of the tab, so you can launch the gesture field from certain home screens only?

Also, app has been updated.
v1.2
- New customization options (three new service icons)
- Minor bug fixes
Useful app that i would love to try. However......
Remembering the "speed dial" numbers is do-able no prob. But would it be possible to have the option of drawing of drawing initials??
To set it up so i could draw JM or CL ect... to get a contact that the app has linked to that input??
Just a thought.
I really like this app it works well but if I may I would like to suggest that if its possible to add the ability to draw out a complete 7 digit number and save it for those occasions when you need to take down a new phone number. I think that kind of functionality would be tremendously useful especially if it can be done from the lock screen. Again just a suggestion.
thanks for sharing ur app... keep rocking
thanks for sharing ur app... keep rocking...will update the review after playing with it..
Awesome app. Patent this right away dude or an OEM is gonna use it as a "new" feature.
Nice app and very useful especially on the lock screen. Suggest that once enabled icon should be invisible from the lockscreen but is running in the background. What do you think?
great app but useless with talkback for my blind dad
very nice idea, couse with ICS and furthermore we lost speed dial in phone app (it was present in froyo and GB)
but it needs work...i tested, it's soo hard to recognize #1 or #9....then for example ...contact was saved #1 ...i draw 5 to test ....it said...there is no contact on 5 but it dials the 1
or i draw 8 and it wants 3...etc.
but overall realy great idea...was looking for speed dial app

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the app. I am working on ways to make the handwriting recognition more successful. In the meantime, see if you have better results with different brush sizes.

I have release Fearch. A simple file search application that indexes your storage devices then allows you to quickly display the files you want to display the most.

I have updated Fearch to include some needed fixes on double storage devices and database queries while indexing. Please update and let me know what you think!
Thanks!!
Came from the Portal, very nice layout! I like the indexing. It isn't detecting my external sd though, and want to know how I can help. I own a legacy device the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze, running CM11 Official. What can I do to help?
awesome dude, keep up the good work!
Works perfect on my Nexus 4, keep up good work!.
What an excellent application! With 64 GB of data and that much consisting of various file sizes and file types, this is a 'godsend'.
Please explain to me why this app requires Full Network Access?!
I have 2 others 3rd party file manager and all of them is using full network access. I think it is because they using bluetooth or wifi direct when we share files. Correct me if im wrong

This is because you can't load ads without network access.

I am currently using vold.fstab located in /system/etc/, do you have file similar or in another location so that I can check various mount paths? This would be the first step. Thanks!

That, and ads need network access as well.
Make a paid version then. Im tired of every app requesting full network access. Its completely unnecessary. At what point did we as a community accept this as the norm?
I would rather you release a free version with less functionality then a free version with ads that requires full internet access. If the app turns out to be usefull then charge a buck or two and people will gladly pay, myself included.

It is simple, as much you want to believe people can make money on android without ads, you are mistaken. Regardless of how well the app is, people are still not going to pay for it. If you find my app doing something it shouldn't, then report it. Thank you for at least looking at the app. I am sorry that it just for you. Is there anything else I could do to appease without removing the ads? There are only two ways to make money on android, people paying for them, and people using ads. Sadly, more money is still made on ads and not enough is made in paid versions. My app doesn't use the internet unless its the free version for ads. I can't thank you enough for the response. Have a great day.
I will think about what you have suggested and maybe I will remove ads and add in more pro functions. Anything you have in mind that would make this better then?

thanks for a very useful app. Note that it does not show on the play store, even when I search the store for 'fearch'. There is another app called fearch that appears to be something completely different.
in any case, I was able to download the apk and install it. but the link to the pro version launches the play store with an 'item not found' message.
Dead?
Can you explain why this app isn't available on Google Play anymore and why your website isn't working?
Is this Project dead?
