[APP / TOOL] AppMan | v1.4

Nana-Nana-Nana-Nana AppMan!
As introduced to the the TEAM ROM! i am releasing AppMan for public consumption, i mean to do this a while ago but have been sick and busy, better late than never
This thread is for bugs, requests, and general info about AppMan!
What is AppMan you ask? well what isn’t AppMan! basicly EVERY addon for your custom ROM available through a live menu, to be either saved to your SD card for flashing or installed as soon as it is finnished downloading! So with AppMan you can “Bloat” or “De-Bloat” to your liking without worying about deleting the wrong files in Root-Explorer!
BUT but thats not the best bit! AppMan checks for updates for your ROM and notifies you of any new addons, updates, mods, themes, ect ect. You will then be able to download any of these things from AppMan and update or flash them with a few simple clicks!
“OTA” Update for any custom ROM!
BUT Wait it gets EVEN COOLER! AppMan doesn’t need to be updated to add new items to the lists as it looks it up from online! The idea is you can add new mods / tweaks / anything realy as often as need be and you can veiw them at your pleasure from you phone!

Q&A
Q- How do i get AppMan in my ROM!
A- Simple Fork this REPO update the master branch, and send me a message and i'll add you to the list
Q- I have more than one ROM can i have it in all my ROMs and have defferent items for each?
A- EASY simply make a new branch for each of the ROMs and again let me know i'll add it to the main list.

AppMan How, What, When, Where, Why
AppMan How, What, When, Where, Why
So the basics is AppMan checks what ROM you are on then checks the master list of ROMs and checks if your ROM is there. if it is it generates a the menu with the supported options (Apps, Scripts, Kernels, Mods, Updates, Themes) ( this is what is grabs to do this )
then when you select a item it looks up the list and displays it ( here is the TEAM app's list for an idea )
I put a description of all the items that need to be filled out in the github readme ( here )
For now thats all i can think of. more to come laters

Like u can direct download content like doom gives and wolf gives now a days
So can we have our own file storage server or what u say
So can we have that thing?
So i can store some files and can download them using appman when i need them...
So we can use appman like dropbox or something?

At this point I'd have to say no. Appman is meant to be a file browser more a tool to enable correct usage of addons for roms and to simplify everything for users.
Oh and Just to be clear I cant ( at this point) offer hosting of files.

Ok so latest miui from cobrato data off wifi enabled it says loading appman is getting his cape or whatsoever and then the box dissapear and i can see an android whit a cape and its loading forever

[APK] Who loves AROMA tweaks? But, in an APK form.. FOR REAL!

i know some of you like flashing tweaks to your specific phone and rom. but how about this time i slash out the specific... for real. aroma tweaks to any phone and rom...? in an apk form..! almost no more manual flashing and pushing files.. the apk do all the work.. download the tweaks that you ONLY NEED!! no more big files dump into your phone.. just download the needed tweaks, apply and even remove them and revert back to ZERO! with a single click in an under 1.5mb app called PIMP MY ROM ( PMR ).
just sharing this stuff incase some of you still live in a cave somewhere and seldomly checkout the android development threads..

it is simply edited hosts file (familiar??? if you're coming from windows) which replaces in our device.
it has some glitches too...

hehe... when you have hosts file which can used in any rom to stop any kind of ads in phone why need to use apps...???
they cant stop some ads sometimes due to some rules and problems of blocking
and by the way apps are not secure... or trust worthy.. or apps use this same way..
this is safe method and you can block anything whatever is written in hosts file..
highly configurable..

AdFree is great, simple and free aplication.

Blacked out apps

Hey guys have not seen this link in here yet so thought I would share what I found. From some very talented themers out there we have blacked out apps. All working fine on our galaxy s4 9505.

Seems to be a problem with links. I clicked on blacked out Facebook and instead of a download link, just got a bunch of code??

Must be an issue on there site i had the same problem. Give it time then try again

You didnt saw any thread related to that website because there is already a thread related to it in android themes section and it works on almost every rooted device so the blackout team will not be opening a new thread for every device in xda. Duplicate threads are not allowed in xda. In future , please dont go searching in the android apps section or in the themes section searching for an app or theme for posting it here saying " Oh I didnt find any thread related to it so I made a new one for it ".

this is not a duplicate thread it is a link that some may find useful. if it was not allowed i am sure the mods would have closed it or team blackedout would have complained. i have taken nor asked for credit in fact have stated such in the op. there are mods on these forums for a reason and we dont need trolls like yourself judging. if someone from team blackedout wishes me to remove the thread i will but until then it is here to share.

Couldnt be more wrong, before you post make sure you are clear on the rules yourself, Duplicate threads aren't allowed but its usually meant as in the same forum. There is nothing wrong with opening a thread in a different section and linking someones work as long as all credit goes to them, which it has.
I will be linking their work too in my new theme thread as it matches my theme layout and is useful. The only person to break rules is you, spamming someones thread with your pointless post. Now back on topic please.

I wrote to him to add support for Desire X and he accepted if I would test, but as I changed phone I couldn't continue.

I have used this on my device. Made slight changes, works great . I just haven't shared it here because I haven't asked for permission to do so, and out of respect I wouldnt want to trump the dudes work.

I don't understand. You are using non public version?

Public version work without problem, I use it after update to 4.2.2. Only bug is that it remove fm radio so you need to push it back to system after running rom cleaner.

One X version should work. What might be a problem is the "update-binary-installer" (device dependent)
If the update-binary-installer isn't compatible with your device, the updater-script will fail and show a blank install screen.

Terms of Use
ROM Cleaner will remove apps and files
from your device.
If basic ROM Cleaner setup removed too much
apps and files after running, just download
"ROMCleaner_user.txt" or "NO-Sense_user.txt"
or "CM-AOSP_user.txt" from ROM Cleaner thread 
 @xda and make your personal edits.
More details can be found in second post...
ROM Cleaner is well tested by us and thousands
of users and should not make your phone unstable.
If you do get into trouble, make a post in the
adequate ROM Cleaner thread and we will help you.
Important!
When you flash this script you will heavily
modify the ROM! So before you report bugs or
non working apps (etc) in ROM Development threads,
think twice and please feel free to ask us first.

With other words, that's not a bug in ROM Cleaner.
You just didn't read about the ROMCleaner_user.txt.

No. I took the one he shares on that thread. I went in the zip file and made minor adjustments for my 4.1.2 Rom. Then used it. I haven't shared it because even though I made some changes, it is ultimately his work so I haven't shared the one I made modifications to due to me not asking for his permissions to distribute it publicly on our forum. So I have held on to it as a personal resource.

Someone ask does script work with one sv because it doesn't officially support it. I wrote that it work but you need to push radio back to system.
Don't see why you have problem with that.

Well, you should know how frustrating it is developing, writing manuals and people not reading what they are flashing or how to use the freely provided software correctly. It takes lots of time dev-ing making it as user-friendly as possible. Most questions are answered in the manual, which you agreed to have read it while flashing.
Using ROMCleaner and edit it to your demands isn't really rocket science.
So don't stop reading manuals and replies, it will only lead to more frustration for us and to other users.
Having this said: I urge you leaving the discussion as it is, and PLEASE keep reading, as it shows some respect to Patrics83 and his team.
