Slim MIUI?

What do you think about a Slim MIUI rom?i think it would be quite good since MIUI has some useless stuff that many users dont need(and it would free up ram which would be good because MIUI uses more ram right?)

you can do a lot of things to slim down MIUI
you can decompile the framework-res and delete all the unnessacary languages, delete any unused system apps, you can remove proj vex icons if they're included in the rom ect ect
and removing apps does not cause instability?can i remove miui launcher after installing apex for example?

Ya but you could also simply disable system apps and that stops them from being used

removing languages has any noticeable impact on roms performance?
I love the design of MIUI (many awesome themes) but it uses a lot of ram and performance was worse(at least on my phone) than other roms.
With these tips it should perform better. Now im just waiting for MIUI JB=p

[Q] How to remove all gapps EXCEPT Google contact sync service

Hello master, I'm noob here. I wanna ask some question, how to remove all gapps on jelly bean v4.1.2 except google contact sync service, I just need that one service and not all google service on my ray device. I dont know which must I choose to remove the apps on system/app . I hope you guys help me solve this problem. thanks before.
Use Link2sd to uninstall unwanted apps, but first you should root your phone
It is not suggested and you can disable those unwanted app in the setting -> app management, therefore they will not show in the drawer again.

@ellynepain actually you should be able to sync contacts without installing gapps at all !

[Q] Help needed in Cyanogenmod 10.1

I have galaxy tab 2 wifi p3110. I rooted it and installed CyanogenMod ROM 10.1 on it. I am satisfied with it. However, I would like to change 2 things.
I prefer Google Play Music than that stock Apollo music app. I cant find a way to uninstall that app.
Does uninstalling it affects the CM RoM?
Also, I like the background of the app drawer to be transparent not black bcoz I dont like that Background. So, please help me out..

1) go to root/system/apps, find apollo music apk and delete it..
And it will not affect the rom..
For other system apps I suggest you to use app like root freezer, freeze the system app first to see weather it affects the functionality or not and then uninstall it(the app ahs the opt to do that)
2) every launcher has that feature :silly:
if it's helping you it must be thanked.

its very easy bro!
follow these steps!
1. download root uninstaller from play store
2. open it, when it asks for root access, allow it!
3. find whichever app you want to delete!
bravooooooooooo!!! u deleted it! ))
:good::good:
Rooot uninstaller works too.
So does Titanium Backup.
As for transparent back you can get nove launcher.
go to nova settings> app drawer and then choose desired transparency.

Refer to [GUIDE] How to make your own custom ROM for the GS II Plus Debloat section. That is a list of apps safely to be removed. Choose according to your preferences and need.
