Back light dose not turn off at all! - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I've been using an OPO for about a week now, and I really love that phone, everything is great besides the one "slight" problem.
I have a problem with my capacitive lights not turning off ever. (Not even when the phone is off!) I'll post a picture (a bad one) but I hope you can see what I mean:

}
I don't know why is so hard to take a picture to show that the buttons are glowing .
The best way to describe it would be, that it looks like, like some of the shoelaces that are glowing in the dark (or something that looks like it's radioactive and glows )
But yea, they are glowing much more than you can see on that picture and no matter if the phone is on or off. I just cant get it black!
I am using onscreen buttons but I've tried to use capacitive buttons and turn brightness and illumination off. (It doesn't work).
But I can however turn it up. It's not a major problem, but It gets really annoying especially at night.
If someone has any suggestions what to do, I'll be gladly to try it.
Thanks.

Got 750 back (screen quality)

I use to own Palm version of Treo 750 couple of months ago. When I loved device functionality and form factor I couldn't stand it's pale, horrible screen. Couple of days ago I've came across Vodafone version. Asked guy at the store to turn it on just for jokes. To my surprise screen on that unit good as good as screen on HTC Trinity! I was sold! I really wonder if they silently start placing better screen in Treos. Anyone with similar experience?

This is old one
Your backlight was turned off. Just from looking at the screenshot you have, it looks like your backlight was set to very low.

It might. I don't remember condition that I took previous pictures in. But I am pretty sure that colors on the new unit are more vibrant with better contrast.

An Idea to Increase LED Brightness

I would like to increase the brightness of the LED button backlights. I noticed that there appears to be some sort of material between the LED and the plastic outer case. It looks like a yellow/beige material with miniature holes when the buttons are lit up.
I wonder if upon opening the case if this material could be cleaned/removed so that the LED would appear brighter.
Has anyone opened their Captivate and looked to see if there is some sort of removable material or paint between the LED and the case? I wanted to see if anyone else had explored this possibility before I attempt to open up my Captivate.
Although this tear-down thread is quite helpful, it doesn't show the portion of the phone where the buttons are located:

There does seem to be something blocking them, tear yours apart and find out!
Replacement screens can be found on ebay for $60-90.

[Q] Weird red/blue/green faded areas on screen on black background (not dead pixels)

Hey everyone! I have a bit of an issue with my nexus 5. Recently a small area (about .5cm by .5cm) has had a faded red circle with two slightly smaller faded circles (one green and one blue) beside it appear on any black/dark background. Its definitely a hardware issue, as I've tested for the problem with several different apps/pictures. It doesn't make the phone unusable, but it is very annoying when viewing a dark image or video. Similar red areas are present in the lower left corner of my n7 2013 but they are very dim and I hardly ever notice them. They look like this:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can get a better picture if necessary, but this is pretty much what it looks like.
I tried searching for others with the problem, but all I could find were hundreds of posts about dead pixels. Does anyone know what this is? Is there anything I can do short of buying a new LCD? Thanks.

Big Green Spot on back of OnePlus one 64GB {Black}

There is a big green spot on the back of OnePlus One 64GB {black}
I dont know how did it got there.
I want to remove it but i cannot.
I have tried removing it using ACETONE, but was unsuccessful.
The funny thing here is only darkens & is visible properly in direct sunlight or bright light .
Otherwise it fades away.
Please can anyone help to remove it ?
I am attaching a pic of it

Seems like a stain to me. It looks like some kind of ink perhaps from a highlighter or a permanent marker. TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK: Try using a drop of hand-sanitizer that contains a form of alcohol. Rub thoroughly and wipe off.

Doubt about pink screen

Hello, everyone.
I just bought my S6 and it arrived yesterday at home, but i'm not at home. My girlfriend received and checked everythink, just like i said. Low and high brightness, with the room dark and lights on, look at the phone and many different angles... Take a look very carefully.
She sad only when the phone is almost horizontal she can some pink in the screen. Check the image bellow:

}
If you change the angle a little bit, it becomes normal, like the next image:
She said when you look at the phone normally, in a normal position, it's absolutely perfect, with NOTHING pink/green.
I would like to know your opinion about these pictures, if they are normal or not.
If somebody can make the test and see your phones in that angles, i also appreciate your help. The pictures were taken by a Lumia 920.
Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks a lot for your atention.
It is normal
Thanks a lot, i appreciate your atention. Now i am good about that.
Have a excellent day, my fryend.
Mine has the same thing. But you really need to look at it on a angle to notice that, so it's not a problem.
Yeah, that's what she said. It is ok for me, i was just wondering if it is normal.
Thanks for your time.
