An Idea to Increase LED Brightness - Captivate General

I would like to increase the brightness of the LED button backlights. I noticed that there appears to be some sort of material between the LED and the plastic outer case. It looks like a yellow/beige material with miniature holes when the buttons are lit up.
I wonder if upon opening the case if this material could be cleaned/removed so that the LED would appear brighter.
Has anyone opened their Captivate and looked to see if there is some sort of removable material or paint between the LED and the case? I wanted to see if anyone else had explored this possibility before I attempt to open up my Captivate.
Although this tear-down thread is quite helpful, it doesn't show the portion of the phone where the buttons are located:

There does seem to be something blocking them, tear yours apart and find out!
Replacement screens can be found on ebay for $60-90.

Caller feedback solved with case on......

Not sure if this will work with everyone or not. I noticed only when I had this newer case I bought on my phone. I didnt have any feedback issues with other cases or while the case was off. After reading that someone had a full body guard on their phone and had feedback issues because the bottom mic was covered I took the case out and sure enough the thick silicone part had that mic sealed right up. I took a good eye measure and cut just a small square out of the bottom and bingo it works perfect now with no issues. Like I said, I am not sure if this is the case for everyone but I have tested it with both my white and black skyrockets on both GB and ICS and it fixed the issues. Hope this helps people out who were mad just like I was not to be able to use their nice new case. Please hit the thanks button if this helps you out.
Here are a couple pics to show where it was cut out compared to a case that worked fine and already had the hole for the bottom mic.....
Case that didnt have any issues at all....

[Q] Weird red/blue/green faded areas on screen on black background (not dead pixels)

Hey everyone! I have a bit of an issue with my nexus 5. Recently a small area (about .5cm by .5cm) has had a faded red circle with two slightly smaller faded circles (one green and one blue) beside it appear on any black/dark background. Its definitely a hardware issue, as I've tested for the problem with several different apps/pictures. It doesn't make the phone unusable, but it is very annoying when viewing a dark image or video. Similar red areas are present in the lower left corner of my n7 2013 but they are very dim and I hardly ever notice them. They look like this:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I can get a better picture if necessary, but this is pretty much what it looks like.
I tried searching for others with the problem, but all I could find were hundreds of posts about dead pixels. Does anyone know what this is? Is there anything I can do short of buying a new LCD? Thanks.

Big Green Spot on back of OnePlus one 64GB {Black}

There is a big green spot on the back of OnePlus One 64GB {black}
I dont know how did it got there.
I want to remove it but i cannot.
I have tried removing it using ACETONE, but was unsuccessful.
The funny thing here is only darkens & is visible properly in direct sunlight or bright light .
Otherwise it fades away.
Please can anyone help to remove it ?
I am attaching a pic of it

Seems like a stain to me. It looks like some kind of ink perhaps from a highlighter or a permanent marker. TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK: Try using a drop of hand-sanitizer that contains a form of alcohol. Rub thoroughly and wipe off.

[APP] Framer for Android Wear

Hello
I've created a new app, which lets you put several overlays on your wear device.
The main purpose is to round the edges on a square screen so it looks a bit nicer,
but you can put anything you want.
Also you can set a round overlay to test round layouts on a square screen if you want
(this is just anoverlay though, it wont recognize the device as an actual round one)

First!!
This looks sweet! I love a subtle rounding off on my LG G Watch! Thanks for this.
Drat it, I just made a round watch face with like batteries & weather in the corners. OK. I'll change my watch face. This is brilliant. (Do keep it up. It'll sell better as bezels shrink.)
I'm glad you like it
*bump
i was bored today and made a landing page..
i know i dont really need one, but like i said, i was super bored

Back light dose not turn off at all!

Hello,
I've been using an OPO for about a week now, and I really love that phone, everything is great besides the one "slight" problem.
I have a problem with my capacitive lights not turning off ever. (Not even when the phone is off!) I'll post a picture (a bad one) but I hope you can see what I mean:

I don't know why is so hard to take a picture to show that the buttons are glowing .
The best way to describe it would be, that it looks like, like some of the shoelaces that are glowing in the dark (or something that looks like it's radioactive and glows )
But yea, they are glowing much more than you can see on that picture and no matter if the phone is on or off. I just cant get it black!
I am using onscreen buttons but I've tried to use capacitive buttons and turn brightness and illumination off. (It doesn't work).
But I can however turn it up. It's not a major problem, but It gets really annoying especially at night.
If someone has any suggestions what to do, I'll be gladly to try it.
Thanks.
