People have been waiting since November or December for the MBM-CI files. So you're out of luck as of now. The best you can do is get a cheap lumia phone or use some cheap virgin mobile android if you don't have a backup phone. Either one works, I guess. shawnsingh is working on a fix, apparently. So just cross your fingers and hope for the best :good:

IMO, nobody can do this when Moto themselves haven't leaked the package we needed, not even shawnsingh who's mentioned above (no actual progress from him yet, just promises). Just yell and shout to the Moto employees if you still had to.

Well, i need a sandwitch. Who cares? Just wait like everyone else or take it to the service center for a board replacement.

JTAG
How about JTAG? Is it the best solution? Or is it not even a solution? Come on. I've only used this phone only for 9 days, then I bricked it
By the way, Happy easter guys! Let's pray for our devices!

I had a broken camera lens on my 1st Moto G that I bricked. I chatted with a Motorola employee, and they said that it wouldn't be considered under warranty if the camera lens was broken. I still sent it in after I bricked trying to downgrade to 4.3 and what do you know, the camera lens was fixed as well. If you still have warranty and don't tell them about the screen you replaced yourself, there is a high chance that they will fix your phone and send you a fixed device, or even a new device.

Best solution ever!!
I've tried your method, and it works! They'll fix my phone for FREE !! :good:
For you guys who hasn't tried yet, go ahead!
Just tell those motorola guys that you upgraded the OS from the official OTA, and it's suddenly dead
They have no idea what we did, and how to fix it. They'll change our board for Free!
Good luck!

1. Is it really that important that you have to start a new thread about it?
2. It is obvious that nobody can know this at this time, so again, why start a new thread about it?
3. Is there any important fix for Moto G in 4.4.3? I´ll answer myself - no, there isn´t. So why start a new thread about it?

Isn´t that all for Nexus only? AFAIK yes - I´ve never seen those problems on a Moto G.
You are right that the forum is not mine, but I still can´t see a reason to start another useless thread. And yes, it is useless, because even if there was a single fix for Moto G, it is clearly obvious that noone can know if and when the update is coming.
I think in news mentioned to G but GPE

If the 4.4.3 update was Nexus only, how come the Moto X showed up as one of the first to get it after the Nexus 5 and so on? It's obviously not only a fix for the N5. Pull that head of yours out of.. you know, and be a fine person for once, the guy picking on the OP.
So anyways there isn't news about the G is getting it, not even when. Although I read yesterday the update might hit us in April yet, could be horse****.

I was talking about the fixes that Denzel mentioned. Those are Nexus specific.
Sorry for being so blunt, but I remember XDA from days when smart people came here to share useful information and to ask smart questions. The question in the OP is neither. Today this forum is full of noobs that either ask questions that have already been answered 100x or questions about deadlines. Like the one in the OP. Neither is useful for anyone and OP´s question even can´t be answered..

None of the reasons you gave are enough to pick on him and be rude, it's a question made out of curiousity in the proper section of the sub-forum. There is nothing wrong with it, perhaps someone else would know something the OP doesn't else I doubt he would even bother coming in here and asking on the first place. If you don't wanna answer it, leave it be that someone else might just do it, there's no need to show off the high horse you're riding at right now. And last I checked, the more old grumpy users complain about this kind of posts, the more the forum loses activity - seen it happen with dozens of others. Nobody wants a dead community, but a active and sharing one, at least from my part.
Anyhow, it's answered, if any news come up of the update it will be posted.

I don't remember, but think not, maybe you will make the update manually, in this case you make a conversion from international version to gpe so this can be a problem about automatic updates. Hope someone will can reply with more help.

The rollout is starting this week. It may take another few weeks before it is rolled out to all users. The rollout doesn't even seem to have began yet for the G anyways.

[Q] MBM-CI 5.0 ? For hardbricked devices

I installed the Brazillian lollipop (5.0) soak test on my Asian Moto G,
I've heard that 5.0.1 has came out for GPE devices, so I flashed the GPE 4.4.2 ROM to my phone
then I planned to upgrade to 5.0.1 via OTA,
The 4.4.2 GPE ROM seems has no problem, but after I install the 4.4.4 OTA, my phone won't boot at all, not even to fastboot mode,
So I googled and I found out that we need MBM-CI 5.0 to bring our dead devices back,
As I said, I've heard that Official Lollipop has came out for us,
So does it mean that Motorola has also released the MBM-CI 5.0?
If it does, then where can I get it?
Sorry for my bad English, I'm Indonesian, and I hope some of you could help me out
Thanks

I have read that we should leave it always connected to the wall charger until the MBM-IC lollipop will be out.
The guarantee would cover the issue being the Nexus stock at the time of the Brick, even starting it there should be no signs of tampering, but the problem that if for unlocking the bootloader deny us the guarantee, we could spend more than worth the MotoG ... sure thing, I'm glad I bought a Nexus 5, after 1 year of modding I never had these problems, not be purchasing anymore device not Nexus. Should be out before the factory and after the OTA, not the reverse.
When I can do it on again I sell it and buy my girlfriend a Nexus 4 White.
Where will it be released?

We could always try to send him assistance hoping for a warranty repair, or paying for the work, I do not think it can cost as much, being a smartphone cheap ..
I am on the same your situation, we can not throw a smartphone that worked great, you might not find a solution, I am not a MotoG users, the Moto G is my girlfriend, is the first time I've heard of MBM-CI and is the first time that brick making a smartphone with a firmware downgrade stock .... crazy stuff .... Sure you never buy a smartphone more than a Nexus .... What a horrible situation ... I have seen that there are several files MBM in the OTA but I would not know how to make them useful for our purpose ... From what I see nobody starts moving to resolve the situation.

yep, that's how bootloader works, bro. That's why after we unlock the bootloader, we always notified everytime on out bootscreen. the motoflasher has help many users on 4.4.4 now we have to wait for the 5.0 officially released by Motorola. the MBM-CI files for blank-flash wasn't inside the OTA files, but inside of motoboot.img, what we have inside ota is only boot.img.p. that's all what i know.

So now, what we gotta do is wait, isn't it?

He couldnt get the screen to work so i got a replacement piece today. Still it's weird how something like this could happen. Hopefully this piece wont malfunction in this way. Thanks for the help tho. Putting this post as solved.
Hello,
I'm experimenting huge problems with pinch gesture on my G3 with original marshmallow. I've detailed all in a video: https://youtu.be/_hMp9vb2WUI
I hope it may be a software problem. If anyone knows how to fix... I'd prefer to not unlock the bootloader.
Thanks
I too have this problem , how can I solve it without losing the guarantee ?
I wait for the update to Android 6.0.1 or he flashed something ?
To flash , I lose my warranty?
Thank you very much , and sorry , but I'm not very good at these things .
EDIT: I solved it by flashing the latest firmware for my moto g .

lg v10 downgrade from mm to lollipop

Ok so I got a lg v10 h900 it has already been updated to mm and I'm wondering if there's any way to go bk to lollipop
I am guessing you are trying to go back for root right? Well, you cannot go back. It will not work, and you will brick your device in the process. Don't worry, me and LGMono are working on getting root for MM right now, we are VERY close if this TOT is authentic...
Any root for the h900 yet

Hey all! Good news! A 9-year-old bug called the "Dirty Cow" exploit still exists in the Linux/Android kernel can easily grant root on any Android phone!!! See the video below.
http://www.xda-developers.com/9-year...on-of-android/
So there's another bug to exploit for root and even possibly unlocking the bootloader! The bug has been fixed recently in Linux but hasn't been rolled into Android yet. If anyone can get this working on my AT&T LG V10 (running Marshmallow) I'll give a reward of $50! Plus you'll be my hero! Now get crackin!

Moto/Lenovo has never released these files, there is no "blankfile" or bootloader file for the Qualcomm flash tool.
If all you are getting is Qualcomm HD-USB QDloader or "qhsusb_bulk" in Device Manager and cannot get to the bootloader, I'm sorry but the device can only be repaired by Moto.

though may be Motorola won't release this type of images , but XDA is full of stories people who have had resurrected their phone from death via blankflash files for their Moto G2 or Moto G4/plus . therefore , either I developer had developed them(which is awesome) or they are leaker from motorola . Eitherway therefore we still have hope for getting the blankflash files for our moto G turbo .
Sending your moto to a service center would be a terrible idea because all they'll do is change the motherboard without even trying this method along with its battery(check their forum) which may cost up to half the price of the smartphone. Therefore I think we should just wait if its leaked from moto or search for the dev who knows how to develop these programmer.mbn and singleimage.bin files. If we have these two files , resurrection should be possible.

petition is not the solution on this. Blankflash files are leaked my Motorola dev employees. these files are made and singed by Motorola for their devs in case anything bad happens and device got dead;
there is no way Motorola would provide those files. Motorola don't even give the firmware that we flash from fast-boot.
our devs have to pull out those firmwares via adb. and you are asking to sign petitions for those files!! but your motive was good but it wouldn't help in this case at all.
all the blankflashes we have till now are leaked by Motorola dev employees. maybe if one of the Motorola employee leaks that blankflash, then its possible to bring your device back to life, otherwise you have to give your phone to service center. Hope this helps.

and those bin and singleimage files are signed my Motorola. if one of our dev even made one of those file, your device won't accept if because that file is not signed by Motorola

No offense, but this isn't going to help or get anywhere... Moto does not supply this level of support for any device, and won't... Especially on a device 26+ months old since in their mind it is beyond it's life cycle and has been end of lifed.
I am aware some other Moto devices like the G2 and G4 have blankflash files out there, but those are only out there because a Moto employee leaked them, and not a "regular" employee, this would have had to have been a developer vetted into OS development... Same thing with out fastboot images, although they are not extracted but they are leaked mostly by service center employees (who have access to the fastboot flash files, but do not have access to Qualcomm QDloader files) who copy them from their flashing server. The environment of Moto has changed, the original Moto staff is reduced by 85% or more and for the most part our "leakers" for stuff deeper than factory images are gone and that stuff is more tightly controlled by Lenovo.
Sorry, but it's time to accept the fact that this device will not be resurrected... at least the chances are near zero. Sorry.
Just signed in the petition. Hope Moto will respond.

They won't... We got 25,000+ signatures for the Nougat upgrade petition and they ignored it. I would love to be proven wrong though.

Try the website...
In the website (aryk.tech , xda doesn't let me post links), the guy has a blank flash tool that can be accessed for $11. I don't have a valid card right now but i think we must give it a shot...the review section has guys purchasing the tool and using it. So, not to sound rude, but someone please try the blankflash tool he has. I shall update on it's status once I purchase it (card gets declined, smh).

I couldn't try it on my device, but I've received replies from people for whom it worked on the first try. I guess we have hope after all...
