Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

Great! Thank you

@primemonitor saw your review in the dev section. May i ask how is the rom performance-wise when using ram-intensive apps/games? I'm on rohan's cm12.1 and really tempted to flash this rom since it's aosp-based (honestly prefer aosp tbh, and really miss RRO layers supprt on XL) but a bit hesitant since it's a long process for me as i have a lot of apps and a seriously stupid intenrnet connection. TIA. ?
PS: also, why does it say here that the rom is 5.0.2? I thought it's 5.1 as per dev thread?

Sorry, I don't have any heavy games or apps installed right now I'll try NFS, but probably later, 'cuz I'm on a slow internet connection right now. However, I did check multitasking performance, and everything was running smoothly. Only time I felt some lag was when I was browsing on the internet (with many apps running in background) though I think it might have been a Chrome issue because Firefox was still pretty snappy.
Yeah, I prefer aosp roms too, which is why I shifted to this one from cm12.1. Haven't yet tried Rohan's cm build though (I'm pretty satisfied with this one for the time being), how was your experience with it?
Also, yay for RRO! Haven't yet seen it action, would love to try it out, see how it stacks against theme engine

Cm12.1 by rohan's great. I'm actually torn between his and varun's (both are my rom choices right now). I'm able to multitask decently and run heavy games (dh5 is what i'm playing right now). Did get a bsod twice a few hours after a clean flash, but i haven't experienced any since. And thanks for the reply. I'll be flashing this later today. ?
RRO is sweet. I just find it a bit more complicated to set up than cm's theme engine, but it was during its early days that i've tried it.

What is RRO?

What is this RRO you are talking about? By the way, how is the call quality? Is there echoing or down right bad voice quality through microphone of any sort?

So i flashed this rom around 8am today (it's almost 10pm here now), and i have to say i'm pleasantly surprised. I've never tried any Euphoria rom (cm or slim is usually what i run), but this rom is smooth. Handles reasonable multitasking well, no bsod or random crash of system/apps. Haven't tried calling nor heavy apps yet (no one has called me yet ?).
Only one very minor bug i've found: in settings, changing the nav buttons' dimensions doesn't work. I'm not sure if a logcat can catch that so i posted it here instead of the dev thread. If the dev wants me to get a log, please let me know, i'll be happy to (if something other than a logcat is needed, i may ask for instructions - i'm a veteran noob ?).
Really happy with this rom. Will update if any other bugs are found. great work. ?
Edit:
Thank you for including cm theme engine while we have no RRO support. ?

Rohan....can dolby digital sound mode work on Euphoria ?
if yes...then which...cm 12.1 or RR port...

Where file manager?

My review of Euphoria 5.1
I don't compare hard work of devs!
Look and feel is the best I have experienced on my phone.Really love AOSP pure Vanila android Style. Renewed material design is a good thing! Very satified with it
Performace with stock kernel without any changes is pretty decent, but running heavy games, big multitasking lags a bit( No surprises here looking at phone specs)
Booting is pretty fast. Added features really make sense( navbar dimension change doesn't work through)
Some cons: I really wanted to avoid BSODs but with no luck unsure emoticon Today while charging I got this error.
Overral the UI is pretty fast & stable. Good work, Rohan and keep up developing and updating roms

Go to Application Drawer and Click on Doucuments and if you want to Show sd card than click menu key on top right corner>show sd card

5 days and no bsod (on tz 4.15 kernel). Not even once. I have to say, i love this rom and it's my daily driver now. No issues apart from nav bar dimensions (it'd be nice to have it working, but i'm totally fine without it).
You've outdone yourself, rohan. Great work.

This rom is smoothest of all the lollipop roms i have tried
and no BSOD's yet
using Tz 4.15
just wanted to know how to get rid of that visualizations which shows on the lockscreen over the album art while playing music

JoyOS and MeekOS

A little about me: I am no developer, but I do like to learn about programming and android related stuff.
I saw the guide for these ports on the main xda page and decided to give it a go. I havent changed anything about the roms at all. They are straight ports.
LewaOS is working pretty darn well. maybe even better than miui!
Might have to restart for data to work though.
Wipe was necessary for me to get it to boot up. I recommend it for you.
AND! you will need to flash latest gapps.
JoyOS is working, but extremely laggy in some parts. Launcher for ex.

JoyOS: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?s5lijwigou8ofn5

Have fun.
ALL credits go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623464 this guide. All I did was follow the instructions.
and the base I used, which I cannot recall right now... but it was either EB or stock CM7
Edit: check out this updated version of lewa! Thanks to rafase282!

I flashed the lewasos and it was nice, didnt do much testing. It looks like a MIUI port. I'm trying to get English info on those roms.
Currently flashing the other one.

Well the other one seems slower, also neither of them work with the new baseband. I'm still looking forward to new updates. I like the UI on both of them.

I think I'll try to update it myself to add support for the new baseband.

Well I just did it. I got it working with the new baseband and added a few of CM7 apps like the launcher, dspmanager, the camera, terminal, torch, and rom manager.
Here is the link if you want to try it out people. LeWa based on CM7.2 nightly with march bb support.
Awesome job with the updated lewa. Would you mind if I give credit and a link to your post/Tom in the op?

That would be fine, this is my first port ever. Not like I did much but it's a start.
I didn't try to update the other one since it was too buggy, but it might be because of the base rom maybe?
I'll give it a try. I like the status bar with those icons better anyways. I just need to learn how to port that to the LeWas rom.
Edit: Where did you get the base rom for the JoyOS? All I get is a forum where I need to register.
Good ports
Joy Os:
I noticed it was very sluggish. The camera was experiencing weird issues too. It works but the camera button doesn't show. Instead there are black boxes and its hard to explain. It makes the camera unusable. Data also doesn't work. It boots and runs without crashes so that's a start! I'm just trying to test and report as much as possible to help you out. Nice port.
Lewa Os:
SPEEED. This rom is incredible. Performs better than MIUI 2.2.25 so far. I like this a lot. Data works fine, camera works good, looks pretty nice. Good port! I like it so far. Will report back if I experience any bugs.
I'm currently working on my port, I noticed that I couldnt update the quickpic alas gallery on the rom. Also I want to deodex it.
Anyone else running this version? You need the new basebad for it.

I got got both rom bases from the links on the guide.
As for joy os, you might be on to something with the sluggishness being related to the base. Ill look into that later.
a few thing for you guys to check out on lewa : rotation animation, music player , messages is integrated with phone app ,. One thing I did notice though, no support for live wallpaper

I think support for live-wallpaper can be added easily, I just didnt add it cause I don't use them. I'm thinking on updating it soo, any problems reported that I can fix I will. Currently setting up a virtual machine with windows unless someone shows me how to edodex easily from linux.
Edit: I got support for live-wallpaper, added the default from CM7.2 also. Added Gallery3D until I solve the quickpic bug. Uploading soon.
Edit2: Some apps just forceclose, I'm going to remove them and replace them for CM ones.
Edit3: Filemanager changed to CM, camera changed to cm, priot update was working but some visual mistakes, calendar from CM added, before I coudlnt sync the calendar and it was in chinese anywyas, some other changes that scape my mind.
Should I open a new thread for this particular port?

I think the answer is not. If you want, you could install it as I have the new baseband. But if memory serves me right, support for the old baseband is broken on CM7.2 RC3 and up.
I'll open a new thread and have boths versions up I guess.

actually, I was thinking you should make a new one or take over this one. I just wanted to introduce the roms to people on the g2x forum since I hadn't seen them there.
you definitely seem to be on it as far as updates and all. as for me, I don't have much time.... I ported those roms over about a week or two ago and just now found time to share.
also, I think there might be a new version of lewa
one problem for me btw: I cannot receive calls. phone rings but options to answer do not pop. up. I'm back on miui.... I really like the speed of lewa. though.....
Anyone want to try and get an MIUI v4 port with working data going? [; I'm sure a bunch of people will love you for that.

Thanks, glad you're enjoying the ROM
Just a couple of questions, so I hope you see this because I haven't posted ten times yet...
#1 no American or Canadian English setting (on initial setup, and under language settings)
#2 where's the Beats Audio?
Still love it, though. Noticeable difference in speed without background apps, and much better internal storage. Also, mildly improved battery life.

It's based on the stock EU ROM, so no, there's no American or Canadian English. I could add them but it'd add to the size of the system or no real reason. I'm sure you can live with the Queen's English
The Beats Audio doesn't show up anywhere in the UI, it just works its magic in the background. I even notice a difference when I use it with my cheap £20 eBay headphones so I know it's working
If you've seen other ROMs with the Beats Audio showing up as a setting on the UI, that's probably because they have the Music app from ROMs of newer phones. I might see if I can get that ported to my ROM now, come to think of it. Thanks for that idea
P.S. to further improve battery life, go to your sound settings and turn off all the sensor based stuff if you haven't already, that makes quite a difference!
Hmmm...haven't noticed a difference with my 20 buck Panasonics, or in my car, though that's with an FM transmitter (a good one, though).
I guess I'll live with the Queen's English, though the patriotic side of me cringes, eh?...
Weird, maybe it depends on the music you listen to. Stuff with heavy bass sounds better at least
God save our gracious Queeeeen
I just tried to stick the /system/apps folder from a Sensation XE onto my ChaCha... The ChaCha didn't like it too much. I'll experiment more later, see what I can get working. Looking around the XE ROM, there's certainly stuff here which shows whether or not Beats is working in the actual UI, so I might add some of that in if it plays nice with the ChaCha.

That's something else I'm looking into. I know it can be done, others have done it, I've just got to edit the right files in my ROM so it goes to Tinfoil.

Glad to hear that. Ur ROM was my 1st ROM i installed after Root this device.
Original ROM is good for user who have less experience in Android or someone love Sense UI of HTC. CM7 is only good for Tech guys.
Stock ROM feel on CM7?
I have been using Chacha for almost half year now, and I like it to core. Have tried almost all ROMs so far. CWM's backup/restore functionality is pure bliss. At times when your hands are itchy, go ahead, mess up your system, do all your experiments. When done, just restore and you are back to your normal mood! Excellent!!
About the ROMs, I try them a lot, but finally do settle down to ROMs based on stock, as my daily ROMS. These are ROMS which I try my own with some experimental versions, or ones available here like from Hexgore . The reason is, there are quite a bunch of apps on Stock ROMS which are perfectly tuned for Chacha's small screen, and hence I find them more efficient than other alternative apps. Here are apps I find too good and difficult to part from.
Mail App
Dialer App
Messages App
I agree that there would be a lot better apps (like K9 for mail). But the easy of bigger icons, easy to tap organization of icons, just make be feel to stay with this mail app.
Now, coming to point, Will it be possible to get these apps work in non-Stock environment. Similar to Gapps package, if we can get to package these apps, it will be great.
I myself, will try these experiments one by one, and report my observations. But just would like to know if there are any like-minded people like me. Please comment. Thanks.

You might install Kernel Tuner & Seeder & once set up she gets REALLY smooth. Also, once I flash Gapps I will go to advanced & wipe Dalvik & set permissions before booting back up. It's always seemed to help tame a rambunctious ROM.
Something else I discovered a couple of ROMs ago is Deep Sleep Battery Saver. I installed it & set it to "Aggressive" & am sitting on 67% at 16 hours with about an hour screen time & an hour phone calls. It DOES work & make a difference.

Now I'll admit I play very few games but I think you'll still be pleased with it.
Its nice to see pacman got an update.
I swear one of these days I don't have much going on I'm gonna sync and source build a thing or two. But my time is so limited right now.
I almost had sabermod built but said something about missing the makefile and then I got busy so I just trashed that source so I didn't have any hiccups building for the N4.

Strapped, that is the very one I ALMOST installed on the wife's Nexus Sunday. But I opted for RootBox at the last minute since it was several versions further along than the one I ported. You're going to have to teach me a few things about building from source too. I've decided to take my desktop & make it a dedicated build server here REAL soon. It can sit in the bedroom & compile away while I'm messing with the laptop.
How's the kernel experimentation been going?

Well SaberMOD is one of the top optimized ROMs we mako users have, along with sparksco kernel, so usually what I do is just cherry-pick stuff in and compile his kernel with whatever it is I kang elsewhere lol.
Some of the recent cherry-picks broke the compile so I got to keep at it because its adding options visible to the user without interfering with how the kernel performs.
I'm almost out of room on the partition I installed Ubuntu on, so I'm thinking of trying to run it from one of them 1TB portable drives, and never worry again.
Building JellyBean takes a lot of space, hell the source alone is like 10-12GB to download, then there is something about needing 80GB for a set of builds ( I'm guessing multiple devices ) blah blah.
Right now sparksco has blessed us with absolutely everything needed to build, right down to build scripts that you just run, choose a couple options then build.
I mostly find myself just flipping through the source though, looking at the massive amounts of files and trying to get an understanding of how source is structured in terms of where -X- file is located for SystemUI before its built so I can edit source level. Starting small with what's already there and hopefully I can learn way more in the process

Good Grief it takes a lot of system just to start! I DO have plenty of HD space on the desktop though. I'm going to have to do some research & get more involved VERY soon myself. But at the moment I'm tinkering around with a flashing tool I was given the idea for. I believe it's going to be pretty cool....eventually. LMAO

Hey, Weekends, thanks for another yummy one!
I've got two other family phones on different versions of PacMan, but this one is even better! I'm having a great time playing with it. I love the "Permissions" menu in "settings," for one.
Sorry to ask, but could you help me find how to turn on the navbar? I found a lot of navbar settings, but there's no "Enable Bar" check box/button/radio.
I also found a problem that probably dates back a long time. At least I remember having it in ROMs I tried a long time ago: "Settings > Storage" FCs. I believe there was no cure, but there were workarounds.
I haven't loaded it up with all the apps I usually do, but so far it's great. After wiping, fixing permissions, booting between flashes, etc., I've had no problems at all.
Again, THANK YOU!
(I'm also having a heck of a time reading the small fonts on the settings menus. But, then again, that's why God invented optometrists!)

Hey Strapped, good to hear from you!
It's been a while.
LOL! ME TOO! My eyes aren't as young as they used to be and that about the only thing I DON'T like about the Paranoid side of PACMan. I set my font to huge & just grin and bear it bro. You can get some bigger in the apps by tinkering with the dpi but the internal functions seem to be a bit different since the default is a tablet format. I COULD be wrong though But am still playing around with it too.
As the Storage function goes, I've always written that one off as one of the things that AOPK & CM10.1 can't agree on & they just say the heck with it. If you CAN find a workaround...or if I do...Let's please share it & I'll serve it up in the OP.
Let me check on the NavBar thing.....
After taking an in depth look myself, I can't find it either Jesterfell. But it could be that it just wasn't put in there because it conflicted somehow with pie. It DOES work really well in this one so you might just use that as your replacement. I COULD make you a flashable fix that will put that line of code into build.prop that activates the NavBar. OR, you could add it yourself. Your call buddy....just let me know.
Tried this ROM today
Gotta say, i dont like that side of paranoid too xD
Well, besides that i personally didnt find any glitches so far, but somehow i dont like the ROM itselve at all :/
Thanks for the port though, could take a peek xD
Back to your samsung port
Maybe in some weeks ill try sense again but till then, either its your new ports if you make some, or your samsung port

Same here! Love all the settings, but sometimes just can't read them to know WHAT I'm setting! With Paranoid, I always found that when I improved the readability of settings, I distorted something else.

Now that you mention it, I do remember reading that PIE had to be turned off for the navbar to work. I didn't find a way to do that either--probably a compromise choice had to be made to leave both settings out.
Embarrassingly, I forget PIE is there, LOL! Another problem is that, after a while of use, I somehow managed to get it to rotate counterclockwise just enough so that the "BACK" button is off the screen. I don't think that should even be possible!?
Then again, I did manage to turn OFF the search button in pie by checking the settings box as if I wanted to turn it ON!
I did remember an old workaround that's doing the job for now: I re-mapped the "SEARCH" hard key as another "BACK" key.

Thanks, Weekends. I appreciate the offer.
I tried the "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" line, but it didn't do anything. Is there another mod for navbar?
Like I said, though, it's still too much fun to put down--especially now that I've got my wife's phone to play with. That still leaves mine as the DD!

I can't find my notes on it, but thinking back on it, I don't think there was a real workaround. It was just a way to turn on USB storage by tapping the "USB connected" bar in notifications, and choosing storage there.
Now I can't even find a "USB connected" notification! There's a debugging notice, but no connected one... I really have to learn to stop changing things BEFORE I break something!
Which clock app does this one have? I love the one on all of the other apps and was a bit disappointed this one didn't have the one I'm used to. Can anyone post a screenshot?

I'd say you could download the one you like best. The "cLock" one is the one that comes with it (see 1st screenshot) The others are from "one more clock" which I downloaded. But they just scratch the surface of the over 30 that you can choose from.

Goodnight.
Several times and put this firmware does not always work for color calibration. You can not even adjust the screen color. The sliders do not work. The first version of the firmware is fine. I had to revert. Tell me what is my fault? Forgive me for not knowing the language.
AMAZING!
Just wanted to let you know that I am so amazed by the JEDI OSP ROM that I created an account just to thank you ptmr3 and markbencze. You guys have put together an amazing piece of work. I'm coming from the GSP Jedi Mind Trick JB8 and now that I have the OnePlus, I'm equally amazed at how stable this ROM is.
The only thing not working for me is the 3minit app. It keeps saying that there is a new version available and shuts down on me. I can load it again and the notification is gone, but it will eventually come back up to reset itself. Anyway, everything works flawlessly as usual except for this app - multi-window is super sexy.
Thanks! Best ROM so far in my opinion.
Regards,
Jeff

Aww Ok. I wish I knew how to build so I can just rebase it with 44S, I really liked this rom. Oh well, I guess it makes sense with lollipop already out. Hell, I wonder if it's possible to build it from aosp considering source is already out.

44s is not open source. So that's not possible. You'd have to wait for a cm lollipop build before even tying an aosp lollipop build. That's why I'm doing my own side rom for now
Low volume on Jedi open source rom
Love the ROM I'm on t889 note 2 but I can't seem to turn the volumes loud enough for the earpiece for calls and low volumes on the device. I've tried the sound booster but still no luck and ideas?

Note 4 and Jedi
Well I see there isn't going to be a Note 4 version of Jedi. Does anyone know of another rom that comes close or better?

Tesla Rom lovers?

Just letting everybody know that their has been a Tesla ROM developed for Clark. Their is a test version only right now but its still bad ass! Go to android file host and search it. I'm sure we will see it posted to XDA sooner then later.
Great news!
I really liked their rom and used it on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
It was awesome!
But I'm already used to moto display, chop chop for flashlight And double twist for camera...
Will be hard to switch to AOSP for me ?

Chop chop and double twist are working on it. I've been running it for the last few days now, and it's my favorite ROM. The 03/12 build is better than the 03/13 build. The 03/13 build was chewing up my battery.

Nope, you have to move them manually.
I tried it for a day and it seemed very unstable and buggy. But so was Broken OS, and PureNexus. I don't know if it's my phone, or just the ROMs becoming more unstable than they were in February. I haven't found a DD yet.

Yeah :/ I had really high hopes. At times it seemed great. I wished there was a way to turn their theme from holo blue to red! I've been using black and red themes lately. I wish I could remember the specific issues I had with this one. I know Broken would be working fine, then just crash, and not power up again. Pure nexus only had 3/4 of the features working, and had all the notofication and scrolling lag that the CM ROMs have. Who knows. Could be my device.

I'm leaning toward it being your phone. Broken ran great for me as did Pure, with the exception of the music bug.

I apologize, but I can't honestly remember now. I can't remember if that was the one that would have apps close on me, or open on me without any input, or why I used the word unstable and buggy. If I say something is unstable and buggy, it typically means I had significant issues, beyond the normal one or two things that just don't work. But I unfortunately cannot remember.
I would like to note however, I noticed that restoring my apps and data with TiBu seemed to be causing some of my issues with the ROMs from that timeframe. Because I flashed the same purenexus build twice, once with restoring apps and data, and once by reinstalling everything from the play store, and noticed a huge difference. Using TiBu was much buggier, on the very same build. So it might have been that.
Link??
Restoring system data with TB can cause all sorts of weird issues. I strictly use it to restore apps/data for everything else, but not system data.
Sometimes it helps to wipe internal storage too when moving from one rom type to another (ie, stock based to aosp).
I haven't tried tesla rom yet, but may give it a shot in the future.
