Dear XDA community...
I've been a passive participant in many of your threads and most of the time I have managed to solve my issues thanks to your replies. Finally i have decided to join you and hopefully also help in some of the cases.
My current issue is a Samsung Galaxy Trend which display and digitizer have been broken. I have easily managed to replace those, both of which were working fine on the first boot. The display once got frozen tho and since that time the only thing i can see is a white snowy (no-signal tv alike) screen with some colorful dots here and there. Replacing the Lcd once again brought no change, so i guess it may be either pcb/ic issue or a software bug. I will try uploading a pic of the display as soon as possible.
I hope someone might have encountered this kind of defect and could help me solve it.
Best regards,
Damian aka Infernaesty.
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist the snowy thing is because either the way you have fixed is not right and there is some connection issue to board and display or you may accidentaly damaged glue of Display and board fix which some devices have best thing is to get it repaired by Samsung Official Outlet or in other Mobile Repair Shop has further anything may damage other parts of device
Good Luck !

i have 2 spare xda 11 one is blocked and the other the screen is bugged up.
i want to change the screens so at least i have one phone working how do i fix or undo screen parts thanku someone please help dont want to buy another screen when i have 2 the same
Yo dude, the best thing to do would be to take the screen from the phone thats blocked n(coz no matter what, you'll never be able to use that phone anyway!!) and fix it into the one with the broken screen. If you do a search here, there are guides to taking apart an XDA II, and as long as you haven't got 10 thumbs, it should be fairly easy to do!!!
I've done this myself so I know it works, but the only thing you need to be wary of is there are two models of screen, just hope that both phones have the same model installed otherwise It could get a little more complicated!!

Replacing the screen
I am in a similar situation, I have an XDA2 with a broken screen and another one with a damaged bottom connector. I pulled them both apart to put the good screen into the one with a good mother board but to me the screen connector (the one that plug into the mother board) they look different. Just wondering if anybody has come across this. Cheers, Guito
Hi Xda developers forum
Ive dropped my phone and the screen now looks like what it does in the photo.
can anyone advise on weather this is now gonna need to go to phone heaven or will buying a new lcd screen fix this problem?
Thank you for your time
Hello everyone,
When I was browsing my fb today I stumbled upon this photo of a Galaxy S II plus that has a kind of broken screen. As you can see what it should display is shifted to the left. This guy isn't really a techy and has no idea of custom roms etc. Now I'm wondering is this something in the software? Because I can buy it very cheap from him, and if I only have to install CM I would have a very cheap good working phone
If it's something in the hardware is it solved by replacing the screen? (since this also includes some other things)
I did a bit of research but didn't find someone with the same problem, if you have seen a thread about this before please give me a link
thanks in advance!
Francis
never mind he dropped his phone, so it's a hardware thing
Do you have this too when you turn on your phone, or when you are in Download Mode?
I used my Galaxy note 2 for 1 year and just these days when the screen is turned on, I can see stripes on the screen.
It's obviously and ugly. I've had it! I didn't take pictures but i searched the similar pic attached, it's vertical lines on the screen.
I bought it to repair shop and they said that i need to replace my LCD screen and digitizer assembly. It will cost me $250, if i agree.
So, What's the problem of my phone? anyone knows? Or Is it possible to repair it by myself? I don't want to pay so much money .
Any advice would be appreciated
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately you don't have many options, you're dealing with a hardware failure.
Option 1:
Pay for the repair to be done.
Option 2:
Do some research and undertake the repair yourself (consider this very carefully, quite often when an unexperienced person attempts something like this they do more damage than good).
Option 3:
Put up with it.

Hello everyone,
Got a problem with my Galaxy note 3 amoled screen. Couple months ago some lines appeared on that, look like artefacts or dead pixels or something, not really sure. Didn't drop/drop in water the device before that. No idea why that happen. But, they don't go.
Tried some dead pixels apps from market with no success.
Due to certain reasons cannot give the device to repair service, so, need to try to fix that by myself.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Will attach the screenshot. The line in the middle, have few of them already. Background is green, to make it more visible.
Thanks!
