Extract Stock recovery from OTA
Hi,
I'm trying to go back to stock recovery on my HTC M7C DUG.
unfortunately i cannot find a recovery image.
(the one found on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617159 does not work for me)
i've read the the recovery image can be extracted from the OTA update file,
but i am not able to open the firmware.zip in the OTA.
i tried downloading several times but every time it show an error
"the compressed ZIP folder is invalid"
Any idea what could be the problem ??

Minor glitch in TWRP2810 for TF300
Just now installed Scanno's TWRP-TF300T-2_8_1_0.zip. It seems to work fine, but it failed the zip file signature verification. I flashed it with Scanno's 2800 version. The md5sum was fine, so I just turned off sig verification and went for it. Problem with the signature? Problem with TWRP 2800? Just thought someone might want to know. I wish all my problems were that easy!

First off I would like to please ask everyone to thank the anonymous donor for this file because we wouldn't be seeing it today without them.
For all those that have been waiting, it's not the official release - but it is stable enough for daily driver use.
I haven't had much time to test this but the only issue I had with it was flashing it.
If it gets stuck trying to get to recovery pull the battery and flash again.
I am marking this a full restore because it looks like it wiped data, including pictures. YMMV.
At the moment I'm only putting the original file up.
I'll try to get an Odin one-click and a nodata version up later.
Link to NI3 folder:
http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p... Galaxy S5 (Sprint) (SM-G900P)/Stock ROMs/NI3
Steps:
1) Download EXE file, double-click to extract.
2) Put the phone in download mode.
If you've never done this before, easiest way is to shut the phone down completely.
Then hold Vol Down + Power until you see a warning screen. Press up to proceed.
3) Open Odin (I used 3.07), place in PDA slot and flash.
4) Profit!
Please feel free to leave feedback on the flash and ROM but please keep in mind I have no special contact to relay that feedback.
Click to collapse
i have extracted the file but when i click "PDA" in odin, I cannot find the file, it is extracted to desktop.
device status
hi will this stock firmware make my device status official and would I be able to receive ota updates again?

Better late than never
Only just decided to root my Xoom 2. the link to the droidrazr download is dead. is there another?
Xoom2 ME MZ608
I have a Xoom2 ME MZ608 Europe version. I have Rooted and installed Safetrap on this device.
Recently I have started facing some troubles with the Internet connectivity and problems with some websites access. So, I tried doing factory resets couple of times but it didn't solve the problem. So, I have taken a backup of the existing ROM using the safe track backup option and tried to flash the stock fastboot files of Brazil ROM(1.6.0M-272.12_MZ608_p2HW_BlurRegion02_CFC1FF_fastboot_signed_latam.xml.zip). This seems to be the biggest mistake i have done. While flashing the fastboot, the system.img flashing failed and all the remaining succeeded. This could be due to the fact that i was running on a higher android version than this.
Now the Tablet is not booting, but i am able to boot into safetrap. I tried to erase the stock and tried to restore the backup i had. This is also not working anymore. It seems to bricked and showing a blank screen without any error or message after it passes through Safetrap.
I have done this fastboot sometime back with an image from droiddevelopers.com site which worked perfectly. Now that the ROMs are taken out from the site. I am not able to get the right ROM for my device now. Are there any stock ROM backups available which can be falshed directly from Safetrap for this device? (or) Does anyone have the Europe Retail version of the Stock fastboot file for MZ608?
It would be very helpful if I can get either a backup ROM (or) Stock fastboot for MZ608. Currently my Xoom2 ME is almost in a bricked state.
Thanks
Chandra
Found a Solution
I have found a solution for this here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47950732&postcount=779
This procedure worked flawlessly for me.
The issue with Wifi still exists. I really can't figure out what could be the issue. Wifi connects but Internet only works intermittently.
Thanks
Chandra
Hello,
Does anyone have Safestrap 3.12 made by Hashcode?
Thank you!

Problem
Hi guys, that's my first post on this forum.
I got a CWM on my tablet yet. If i want to update it with a new version, how can i do?
Sorry for my bad english.
Boot loop into recovery mode
Hello
I have TF300T with JellyBean and last night I decide to migrate to CM 12 or to try to migrate....
Before reading this post, I unlock my tablet and install a recovery-jb.img : CWM-based Recovery v6.0.2.3. -> installation OK
I reboot in recovery before booting on Android and it's seems to be my error because now I have use "adb reboot-bootlader" and choose Android to boot on the original JellyBean.
It's only today I see your post with this sentence : "Make sure reboot into android after flashing bdefore going back to recovery"...
So what can I do to solve this mistake ?
I have also other error messages like this :
"E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command"
".... /recovery/log"
"E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log"
"E:Can't mount/cache/recovery/fast_log"
"E:Can't open /cache/recovery/fast_log"
Thank you per advance for your help.

Hi
Yes, and for me to give '.
Hi ferhub
I've exactly the same situation, I've also softbricked my Honor 6 L12. Nothing really works.
I've tried to unbrick with multitool, but the phone keeps on rebooting.
From what I can see, is that recovery images are working as long as they are EMUI 3.1 compatible, but the one's included in the current official stock roms are not.
So I can fastboot and go into recovery with EMUI 3.1 recovery image or the latest TWRP 2.8.7.
I tried to find the full rom (not the update.zip) of 5.1.1 with emui 3.1 but I was unsuccesful. I think this could solve our problem.
Pfff, I've bricked my phone on friday night and have been researching everything the whole weekend. Next time I won't be so ignorant for the clear message that you brick your phone with multitool when you are on 3.1
Any help appreciated!
Can I get back to the stock ROM with my backup via cwm?
