Most cases will just make the device bulkier than it already is, and with the peace of mind of getting a free replacement if I break it or something, I've decided that going naked is definitely an option now. After watching some durability test videos, I've noticed the m9 display with gg4 is very resistant to scratches and bumps, the back not so much, so I was thinking of buying a skin for the back and maybe a screen protector on the front. Dbrand offers some good wraps, I might order one from there but I'm not sure which color/material to pick. I'm mostly attracted to the leather ones, what do you guys think?

I have their titanium skin on my N7 Flo. Great look and quality; definitely better than other brands I've tried. If that's any indication, you should be happy with the leather skins (I was looking at them a couple of days ago myself). The good thing is, these are inexpensive enough that you can order a different one when you get tired of the look. :good:
You have made the right choice by going for a dBrand skin. I bought all types of cases for my phones since i had my first smartphone in 2008 until this year, from Otterbox heavy duty cases to Spigen slim and sexy cases.
BUT...
This year, after having my M8 for a few months, i came to realise what an idiot i was being. Engineers at HTC spent months and months on designing this beautiful work of art in the M8 ( and the M9 this year ) , and then i went ahead and covered that piece of art with a 10$ piece of plastic that was designed in 5 minutes by some case manufacturer? I mean you could put a case on a cheap plastic phone like a Samsung , but on THIS BEAUTY?!
So that was it, I was never to touch a case again. However, i have a habbit of keeping all my phones in PERFECT condition. I apply a Tempered glass on first day on the screen, and if i wasnt going to use a case, then i had to something to protect the phone, while preserving that beautiful design.
And in came dBrand. i purchased the Titanium black back skin for the M8, and have never even thought for a minute about going back to cases! I ordered the exact same for my M9, i have attached a pic.
Sorry for the mini-article ! lol
I heard the M9 isn't as slippery as last years M8 is that true?
I did a cork slick wrap last year that I was very much pleased with. I'll do a clear one this year if I find it too slippery. Big fan of Dbrand. They are better quality than slickwrap but slickwrap provide more designs. Can't go wrong with either company.

I'm going to fedex to pick up my M9 so I will let you know about the slippery-ness soon
Orzly
I just got an Orzly skin on amazon. It's the frost white color and I do like it. I had a poetic skin for my M7 and once I put that thing on, it never came off, no matter how hard I tried. That kind of sucked because after time the dust and dirt accumulated around the cutouts and was a pita to clean. this orzly skin is a much softer material but still fits super snug on the phone and still comes on and off easily. The frost white color is nice too because its semi transparent so you can still see the nice design and gold accents on the phones side. I think the best part of it is that theres a connection in the case right between the volume down and power button so now that poorly placed power button isnt that bad. Also, it does provide a very small bumper along the face of the phone so you can lay it on the screen without it touching the surface, providing it is a completely flat surface. for 8 bucks or whatever, Its exactly what i wanted.
I went through a bunch of slickwraps and dbrand skins on my m8 but since the skins are quite thick, they eventually peel at the corners. I have since installed a transparent, matte bestskinsever wrap and its much more pliable than the textured wraps, also looking indistinguishable from the metal finish of the phone, and even feels similar but definitely adding a little more grip. The skin also has rounded edges and uses a wet application so it won`t peel (or at least hasn`t peeled for the last 6 months) and conforms much better to the contoured back. I found the carbon fiber, wood and leather wraps lasted for around 2-3 months, I also used a cork skin that only went on the back. It had a great feel and texture and was a little spongy so it absorbed the impact of any minor drops, but it got stained easily and pretty much absorbed any dirt or grime on any table I placed my phone on. To make matters worse, when I tried to remove it, the skin left sticky residue all over the phone and I had to rub it with acetone for half an hour to get it off. I definitely recommend the transparent matte skin, it`s perhaps not as enticing as a textured wrap but it`s easier to live with and much longer lasting, also it doesn`t get furry when you put it in your pocket as the adhesive is much tackier.
Im thinking of using a skin from xtreme skins, since i like there brush metal colors, but do these vinyl skins offer more grip to the back of the phone, i feel like its going to slip out of my hand one of these days.
I used a ToastMade wood skin for my M8. I loved the feel and it always caught peoples attention. Waiting to see what they do for the M9.

That's a great looking case. I wish it didn't say "Orzly" on the side of it, though. However, it's not that noticeable, so perhaps it would be okay

I have that Orzly case in the smoke black color to go with my gunmetal m9. It's the thinnest case I've ever owned (and I've tried to go slimmer and slimmer and have had literally hundreds of phone cases). I really like it - it's a little too thin that it's a little weak on the edge near the button cutouts but it seems to harden over time. I also was able to heat and wipe off the "Orzly" paint from the side after I tried to reform the case in boiling water.

Yea, its actually not that noticeable at all. After a month the lettering is starting to wear away so before long it probably wont even be there anymore.

Hi guys, I just wanted to give my review on the case that I've finally settled on! It took me forever to finally decide on a case, but I finally made my choice and I couldn't be happier. I originally had the Silicone case from the T-Mobile store, but that case just wasn't to my liking.
Up first is the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/YOOBAO-TPU-case-Skin-Cover-HTC-Sensation-4G-Z710e-/220837531137?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item336af14e01
Nice price for a high quality case for sure. Item took me 9 days to get from the time I ordered it, which isn't at all bad considering it ships from Hong Kong and I'm in California.
The breakdown: this is a lightweight case (AKA not a competitor to the Case Mate Tough and similar heavy-duty cases) that is made out of 2 materials. It is both TPU and Polycarbonate (plastic). The parts that are plastic are where the 2 wedge-shaped pieces on the back of the phone are (above and below the swoosh).
My review: my primary reason for getting a new case was because the T-Mobile gel case was too loose. It felt like a pair of baggy pants on a skinny kid (Take it from a skinny person that that feeling is really uncomfortable). First up is the packaging:

Nice packaging, comes with a screen protector and cloth inside (I haven't put the screen protector on yet so I'll report on that later). The most noticeable things about the packaging are the comical errors in grammar and spelling, but I couldn't care less about that when I like the product .
I read good things about TPU cases being much tighter than Silicone, and the Yoobao case is certainly a good example of that. Out of the box, it is much more resistant to flexing and takes a bit of an effort to actually put the phone into. BIG plus for me. It's very form fitting and tight on the phone. It's also a thin case, which was instantly noticeable because in the hand it feels more like a naked Sensation than the T-Mob case did. That's not to say it provides no protection, because the combination of TPU and PC makes it feel quite strong for a thin case. Also, let's be honest that most people looking for thin TPU cases aren't looking for the most hardcore in protection. I'm sure the Yoobao will do fine in minor drop situations.
The cutouts on this case are close to perfection.
The headphones jack is fine for the headphones I use. It's about the same size that the cutout on the T-Mob case is.
The cutouts on the top half. As you can see, Yoobao included cutouts for every place where they are needed. 2 things I really like here: the first, that the cutouts are perfectly placed (the mic holes are perfectly centered in each cutout, which is rare), the second, that there is a separate cutout for the camera and the flash. Most cases have one big hole for both the camera and the flash, and the fact that this has individual cutouts exudes quality.
Cutouts at the bottom. This is a pretty bad picture because the mic holes are better centered than the pic makes it look like. Again, nice that they have individual cutouts.
Terrible picture, I know, but I just wanted to show that even the bottom mic hole has a cutout (which like the others is perfectly aligned).
This is the ONLY thing I don't like about the case. While (looking at the cutout from this orientation) the left and right sides of the cutout provide plenty of space, the top part is just barely too thick.
As you can see from the bump, it's just a little too tight for the charger. It's still easy to get the charger in, it's just that it pushes the TPU up right there.
It's a very minor issue, and I'm sure you could easily take a knife to it to make it fit better. This is legitimately the only thing I would change about this case.
The looks:
The looks of this case were probably the main reason I chose it over others. I personally wanted a light case that preserves the looks of the naked Sensation as much as possible, and I don't think you can do any better than this case. I obviously went with the black model, but there is also a white model. The TPU is translucent, and in decent light the case is a dark smoked color (it's really only in low light that it looks completely black). Really sexy color, and it's awesome that you can see the htc logo on the back. The other main case I looked at was the Qubits one that is very popular, but I liked how the Yoobao allows you to see the actual swoosh and htc on the back, rather than an opaque black swoosh that merely imitates the phone. The plastic pieces are so well done that they look just like the phone underneath.
I thought that this picture demonstrated how smooth the transition is from PC to TPU. It's really only a transition that you can feel; you can't see it because it's so smooth.
Other things to note:
The TPU comes up over the lip around the phone like most cases do. It's thin, so when you place the phone face down the screen is just barely off the surface. I didn't include this as a negative thing because I don't have any personal experiences with other cases other than the T-Mob one (which definitely does provide a bigger lip), and I've also heard that TPU cases don't give as much a lip as Silicone cases do.
The power button is harder to press down, but I also didn't include this as a negative because I've heard the same about many TPU cases. The volume rocker also takes a little bit more effort. Both of them are covered by clear TPU that isn't smoked, so it's kinda cool that they are showing off the metal pieces on the phone.
It's not as grippy as a pure silicone case because it can slide around a bit on the plastic parts. I personally think it's grippy enough and enjoy how easy it is to slide in my pants.
Summary: this case is about as good as a lightweight case can get. If you aren't looking for hardcore protection, I absolutely recommend the Yoobao case. It looks great, feels great, adds minimal bulk, fits tightly, and has near-perfect cutouts. IMO no other case out there does a better job of preserving the Sensation's design, and no other case can match how well done the cutouts other than the USB cutout are. I might buy another one just to have an extra because I like it so much. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.
It's just like any other tpu "twill design" cases. It's just branded that's all.
Nice review. I got one that is unbranded. Don't use it no more.

Ahh just noticed the difference. The matte covers the top and the bottom where the Yoobao doesn't.
Does the screen protector cover the whole front glass? or just he visible screen?
Sorry to hijack your thread but I do have a white one for sale for weeks but one person asked about it and never followed through. The one I have was never used. I just put it on for testing purposes, but ended up not using it. The fs thread is in the marketplace here or you can PM me for details. I don't want to detract the thread by posting pics and such .

Great detailed review my friend!
can't link yet, but go to amazon.com and type in "HTC SENSATION 4G / SENSATION XE GEL SKIN CASE"
is this suppose to be the same case??
I just got these case myself last week. I love the fact that it fits inside my OEM HTC Leather case. I had to apply little shoe stretch on the sides. But the phone fits perfectly. I was considering the expensive Seidio case and holster...but the Yoobao TPU & Screensaver and the OEM leather case were a great deal at about $20 shipped total on ebay.

Not sure what you're talking about. The Yoobao case covers the top and bottom just like any other case (it wraps around the front at all sides, providing a lip around the whole phone just like most other cases). And I haven't tried the screen protector yet.
Great Review!
I actually was considering this case, but the Yoobao was a big turn off for me. Has anyone found a way to cover up/scratch it off?
I am sure Goof off would take it off.

buy one without yooboo on it. search for 'twill gel case'
I must add something, the screen protector that comes with this Yoobao cover fits the screen a 100% and with a little heat and dust free environment applies perfectly.
I just receive mine today and quickly put the OtterBox Commuter in my drawer.
I must thanks the OP, this is an awesome purchase.

I know I said I was going to do an update when I installed the screen protector; obviously I put that off for a long time. Anyways I did install it and it's exactly like you describe. Applied incredibly easily, no bubbles, fits perfectly, and it even has a little bit of a cutout for the light sensor. Awesome screen protector to complement an equally awesome case.
Just wanted to give this a little bump to update and for others to see this review who haven't yet.
I bought this case; did anyone try removing the yoobao logo with goo-off? if not, i'll guess i'll be the 1st one to try since i bought a clear(white) case and have a white beats back case to go with it....

I've had past success with goo gone. The goo off is the more paint thinner smelling than the goo gone right? I recently took off the Aprolink logo from my hybrid case.
The goo gone is the one that smells like citrus. I use that stuff to take off adhesives from car finishes as well.
Available here. As the title says, they are now released. I just ordered my One S tonight and going to order a couple of these cases. For those that have not tried this brand, I can assure you they are the best fitting and best quality you can get for a TPU case. I use one on my Galaxy S II.
Updated with Pictures!
So I received my phone yesterday (love it!) and decided to update this with pictures. It fits perfectly, snug, nothing loose and is thin and keeps the phone thin. My ONLY complaint is they didn't make an open port for the volume like usual. Instead they included volume buttons which are a little difficult to push but not a big deal. Pictures are of the Matte Black. Last picture is the Matte Black Translucent or Smoke if you will.

How fat are they, like how much do they add to the thickness of the device?
relatively thin in comparison to other cases though you might notice it since you'd notice anything on a device this thin

It's probably one of the thinnest cases you'll find. Maybe the featherlite is thinner but does not protect the top and bottom. The quality of diztronic is 10 fold that of any cheap ebay tpu case. Below are some pictures of my SGSII (I apologize as I do not have my One S or case yet) with the matte black case on it and next to it. You CANNOT beat this case for $10.
First 2 are a side view with case on and then off.
Picture of the top so you can see the lip. The lip fits tightly and does not warp out or bow out over time. had this case for 5 months.
A couple side by side photos to see the size of the case next to the phone.
The case alone to see the quality of the build. No rough edges, has elevated lip around camera lense. Hole cutouts are precise and line up perfectly.
so are these cases in two pieces or one piece for the One S or do you know? I almost bought one off eBay over the weekend but was kinda iffy about the power button not being covered up.. from the looks of the power button i was kinda afraid that it would be hard to press if the case was very thick.. When do you think you are going to get your phone and case to possibly post pics of how it is on it?

It's one piece. My phone arrives Thursday so I can take pics then. I already have the cases, they are same great quality as the one I posted pics on. There is a cutout for the pwr button same as my SGSII, it does not hinder pushing the power button but will report back once I have the phone.
Can anyone tell me the differences between the

How does each one feel, look and which one is recommended for both their aesthetics and their protection? If anyone has any of these, please share your thoughts!

You rather buy all three and decide from there plus it's only $10 each.I have the Matte black but I don't use it anymore .I just don't like the look of it with the case, maybe cause this is my first ever case on a mobile phone I have ever own.

I am going in that direction, although I am buying at most, 2 of the cases.
Which two should I go with?
How's the camera lens protection with this one? Since the lens is so large, the only means of effective protection is to have the case slightly thicker around the lens, which will help lessen the chance of objects directly striking the lens. If the case protrudes a decent amount above the lens, that's GOOD.
Got my case today
Just got my diztronic case today (matte black) and it is pretty awesome. Still very thin but looks like it should protect the phone nicely. I dropped my last phone and cracked the screen so i am very paranoid about dropping this one.
My only complaint is that it came with a screen protector that is total crap.
Still it looks like a great case and is one hell of a deal.

What do you mean by that the screen protector is crap? Is it a crystal clear version? How is it bad? I was counting on this as a screen protector, if it is not good then I may have to purchase another screen protector separately.
the cover is a hair thicker then the lense .I don't see a reason to use a screen protector since this phone has the gorilla glass ll ,I have a sensation and G2x with badly abuse and the screen is still like new.

I ordered the Matte black black and Matte Black Translucent. Both arrived today. They are pretty similar. The translucent one is not quite as dark as the black (but not as grey-looking as the pics on the website). Only the back is matte finish. The front is glossy. I prefer the translucent one as the glossy effect is less obvious then on the black one.
Very nice cases though. Fit well and feel good in the hand. Would recommend!

If your looking for someone to TELL you what to buy then stay away from the high gloss. It will most likely be a fingerprint magnet and show scratches more easily. You should note that all cases the front rim is high gloss. I do not know why, my guess is so it matches the screen.
Matte is the best for hiding fingerprints and marks/scratches.
I have both matte black and translucent matte black, both look good but won't have my phone until Thursday to put them on and take pictures. Stupid slow UPS!!!!
The screen protector was easily damaged by my fingernail. It was also very difficult to apply to the screen (but i have always been really bad apply those things).
Maybe you will have better luck but honestly i would go with a better screen protector. Right now i am thinking about just going without. The case makes it where the phone will never rest directly on the screen so i am not all that worried about screen damage.
This case is nice but i have to say with a phone this sexy it is a shame to put it in a case.

Mini Review of the Diztronic Matte Black TPU Case:
You receive a screen protector and cleaning cloth with the case. The screen protector doesn't appear to be a great fit, no idea about the quality and how it affects the screen overall. The cleaning cloth seems pretty good

This case is very thin, it is slightly thinner than the TPU gel case, about 1mm is added to the S.
Diztronic case on the left, TPU gel case in the middle and the Tough case on the right:
Diztronic case on the left and the One S "naked" on the right:
The case looks great, in some ways the glossy front half of the case looks rather good with the back half a charcoal matte back (it is the exact same colour as the black S). Personally I would have preferred the front to have been the same colour/finish, however, the back is very smooth and not grippy at all, it has the least amount of grip compared to the other cases I own, I would say it has a more "slippy" feel than the ceramic back of the Black One S as well, where as the glossy black front half of the case is grippy, so you will have no problems picking the mobile up and when holding it firmly around the edges you should be safe enough, so in some ways the black glossy part is a requirement.
You have cut outs for the following:
- 3.5mm audio jack and the mic on the top of the S
- Mic on the bottom
- Power/Lock button
- USB port
- Speaker and Camera on the back
The edges of the cut outs have a nice rounded finish and look "smooth".
In terms of the "fit", overall it is excellent, however, at the bottom of the front it is just a mm too short. It is pretty much the same as the TPU gel case for "tightness", although I found the Diztronic case slightly easier to fit.
You can see (only when you look closely though) and feel some rough seam edges where the matte and glossy black parts meet, more so on the volume buttons (although the volume buttons have only the matte finish), but compared to the £3 TPU gel case, it is much better! There is one spot, which is particularly bad though, on the bottom left of the case:
The great thing about this case is that you have a cut out for the power/lock button The TPU gel case was too tight around that area and also the volume buttons are much better, easier to press and have good feedback when pressed, still not as good as the Tough Case though and obviously when the S is "naked". It is easy to identify the volume buttons without looking compared to the TPU gel case.
The camera lens is below the surface and the case covers the edges on the front and adds a very tiny amount to the front so that there is a a raised edge for when the mobile is placed flat down on a surface to stop the screen touching the desk surface, it is slightly less than what the TPU gel case added.
Regarding finger prints, sticky patches and greasy looking marks, I don't think this is going to be a problem at all with this case due to the matte back and just how smooth it is. So far I have yet to see any finger prints etc. And if there is, you will only notice them under extreme lighting conditions and when looking at the case from certain angles.
It is more "comfortable" to hold the S with the Diztronic case rather than the S "naked", however, it doesn't "feel" as nice to touch/hold as the ceramic back on the S.
The case feels and looks much better than the TPU gel case, overall it has a higher quality feel and look to it.
The minimal/clean design for the front of the S is still hidden/ruined slightly, as expected, unfortunately as I said before this will be the same for every case that covers all the edges, only the rock/nillkin/case mate barely there cases would keep the front looking pretty minimal/clean, but they don't offer any protection around the top or bottom.
As for protection/durability, I would say that the case would do a good job protecting the mobile from normal drops and the standard scratches etc. however, a drop onto solid concrete etc. from a good height could damage the mobile i.e. crack the screen as their isn't enough thickness to the case like there is with the Tough case and there would be no shock absorption either. But for daily use, I would say it is perfectly fine. However, this case would show scruff marks on the corners/back when dropped onto concrete etc.
All in all, the case is very good especially considering the price (£8), highly recommend it to everyone especially if you are looking for a case to cover all edges but with little bulk.
IMO there isn't a better case out for the One S that covers all edges whilst adding little bulk and looking as nice overall, especially the lovely smooth matte back even though it isn't grippy
Pros:
- protection for all edges
- nice cut out for the power/lock button
- good feedback for the volume buttons, easy to identify and to activate the buttons
- nice finish/looks overall
- comfortable to hold
- Also receive a cleaning cloth and screen protector
- resistant to finger prints, greasy marks and sticky patches etc.
- price
Disadvantage:
- no grip at all on the matte back
Thanks for reading and I hope this review has been helpful and as always any questions, ask away
I was dying for someone to review this case.
Next check I'm getting this case then a Personalized Andy CruzerLite case.
Thank you.

No problem
i woulda done the review if i knew ppl were waiting on it too!
i got the same exact case and i love it. super cheap!
dropped the phone on CEMENT from chest high and it hit the bottom corner and saved my ONE S!!!
that alone made this worth it!! its probably one of the cleanest looking cases for our phone.
the matte texture gives me just enough grip compared to naked (since its SOO dam slippery!)
it is the perfect thickness for me to hold in my hand.
4.9/5 because the POWER button is so sunken in
but i guess it helps since i dropped my old phone and broke the button.
Great to hear that the S with this case on survived that drop!
I have this case and I recommend it to anyone who owns a HTC One S. It barely adds bulk and it is still thinner than my old HD7 naked. Just very slightly, though. The included screen guard is also very nice. I did not expect much from it and ordered an invisible shield but I have not gotten around to putting that on because this screen guard is so nice! It is not the same quality as the $1 ones you get on eBay.
I also have this case, ordered from Amazon. Probably the only case I have found (though I haven't looked since getting it) that I can deal with. Been good to me so far. Only issue I have is that it collects dust and lint between it and the top of the phone. I assume though that most cases do this to some degree.
Have you guys got this case on a grey/blue one s rather than the black one as op shows? I am curious to see how it looks on the blue one. Any pics please? Thanks.

I've had this case for a few months and have been very happy with it. In fact, I just received the translucent smoke color version just for something different. I like the translucent case a little better with the blue phone. The screen protector is also of good quality and has hardly any scratches after months of use. Highly recommended and a good value.

Thanks for that!
So this one is the matt black not the smoke one right? It looks really good!
Yes, that was the matte black one. I am not a big fan of cases as you can see I considered the Zagg full body, but this one is actually nice, as you can see. It won't offer you the best protection but those cases are UGLY. I'd like to see what the smoke one looks like on the gradient blue One S.
Nice review. Have just ordered the case.
I have had this case for about 1 month. The fit, texture, and screen protector are all to my liking. I have nothing bad to say about anything! A great investment...too bad I dropped my One S (leaving a few scratches) a day before I got the case in the mail lol.
Hi everyone,
I've spent almost a week now with my N4 and these two cases and I'm ready to share my opinions about them. I'll start with the Nillkin flip PU leather "tree-like" case:

I chose the green one, it seemed special on ebay. The images from the Galaxy S III here distort the colors a little, but it's quite close to what was promised.
Case Quality
The feeling of the case is quite far from leather. I inspected it with a macro lens, and it's actually made out of a spongy material layered on hard plastic. It feels like fabric, which was disappointing. The interior of the case's flip is nice microfiber-like brown fabric which looks and feels good. The "hinge" of the flip is just the same spongy material without hard plastic inside, but it's made well enough so I guess it won't tear quickly. The cuts are OK, but their edges are not perfectly precise. It's not a practical issue, but if your'e picky it might look annoying to you.
The case also came with front and back screen protectors. The one for the back is perfect, but does not have a cut for the camera - only for the flash. It's good to have the camera protected but I don't know how bad is it for image quality. The front protector is too small in my opinion. it covers the screen well side to side, but leaves too much flat space uncovered on the top and bottom. The protector itself is nice and clear, catches fingerprints much faster than the glass (as all protectors do) and does not scratch easily. I removed and applied it several times, and with some duct tape managed to avoid bubbles altogether. It is thick so you can notice it, but overall it's a great added value.
Usability
There are cuts for all the necessary things like buttons and ports. NFC works through the case as usual and reception won't deteriorate. All the buttons are as easy to press as they normally are, which is quite hard. The flip closes properly on the screen and covers it well. However, there are no magnets to keep it in place so if the device falls, you can only hope it stays closed all the way down. when on a table, the flip won't open by itself, and if it does, you can squash the "hinge" part along the joints to make it stay closed.
When the flip is on the back of the device, it hides the camera, so taking pictures is the only thing you should do with the flip dangling from the side. I don't think it's that bad because it's flexible and easy to manage. You can also make it sit quite flat with the back of the device so it won't bother you when operating the device with one hand. The spongy exterior is nice to hold in hand, and won't slip. It grips tables and so much better than the naked N4, but not as well as TPU. It's also easy to put inside pockets, even with tight Jeans. The case's bezels are raised for protection and grip around the screen, but will sometimes bother when trying to use gestures that start out of the screen like in Chrome.
Conclusion
The case adds relatively very little thickness to the device, and overall I'm pleased with it and use it mostly outside when I want the extra protection.
The Meifeng Quicksand case
I chose the bordeau one, that seems almost like skin tone on ebay. The actual color varies greatly in different lightning conditions, so be aware that it might look pink or purple sometimes.
Case Quality
This case has perfect cuts and perfect shape. There's nothing more I can say, it's just thin, precise and beautiful. The bezels are low, but high enough with the four corners slightly raised so the front glass won't touch the table, and the edges don't bother your finger. The feel is extremely unique, it does feel like rock but it's also soft and it's a pleasure to hold and feel. The plastic is slightly flexible which means it won't break over time like those hard Casemate ones I saw chipping in the past. This case won't ever show fingerprints, a great bonus.
This case also came with a screen protector. It covers more glass than the Nillkin one, but it's too reflective, almost like a mirror, so I didn't use it.
Usability
The case is very thin, but not thin enough to feel fragile. I think it's ideal. it's shape on the back is simple, the device's lines are almost invisible. It leaves large cuts for the buttons so they are easy to push, and it also rises slightly above the top and bottom to minimize impact chances on these parts. The only drawback with this case is that it's relatively slippery when held in dry hands and colder weather, so it requires some extra care. It also won't grip surfaces very well like TPU and silicon do.
Conclusion
I think this case is perfect. It looks and feels fantastic, gets lots of thumbs up and protects the device well enough. for ~7$ It's a steal, and you can pick more conservative colors. I don't like the "Meifeng" logo on the back, but it's not that bad.
Excellent thorough reviews... they've made me realise how happy I am with my black Diztronic TPU case!
Nice review. They look good imo.
I'm just not a fan of the open hardware buttons & really wish it had a stand, kind of like this one:

Thanks OP!
I had my N4 for 2+ months now. Have been using it with the official bumper, but most of the time with the s-line tpu case.
Just got my gray quicksand case. I must say I am liking it. Minimal bulk, lightweight. Buttons are easy to press since they are not covered. It does leave the top and bottom open especially the chrome edge which is prone to scratching, so unless I know I am at the desk the whole day I will probably stick to the "safer" s-line.

amazing review,amazing hd photos!
im going to buy from a friend a nillkin case and hope that i like it!
Thanks you for the review, it's really helpfull. I have the other Nillkin case, the more leathery one (but not the "fresh"). Those case are well worth the money.
Gotta chime in with the rest here, brilliant review! The Quicksand case looks interesting but I'm worried the textured back will get annoying after a while...considering whether I should play it safe and just get matte.
The quality on it isn't great. It lasted me <month as did my second one and a friends. Any idea to a very similar case of good quality and build. Somewhat like the Samsung flip case?
Great reviews and pictures. I own both and they are great cases each with different purposes and well worth their price.
OOT:
What wall paper is that
After readin this review I bought the Quicksand Black case.
I have used 3 other cases including the official bumper case before acquiring this one.
For me hands down my fav case. Great fit, good price, and good looking.
Thanks OP

Agreed. It deteriorated quite quickly, some of the seams broke open and it caught grease from hands after a few months of use. As it seems, the new Nillkin Fresh cases have tighter seams and made tougher.

Cut it to 1280 pixels high (if using paranoid android with opaque bars) or 1195 pixels if using stock android, and leave the width. When applying through gallery, stretch the square as large as you can so you'll get 1:1 pixel ratio between image and display. If on the device when setting as wallpaper you get a kind of cross instead of a square, download Quickpic and set WP with it.
I've complained so I hope to get a new one. As you say, hopefully it's a new batch because for the brief time it was good, I loved it.
Anyone have one yet and have some good suggestions? I'm waiting for mine to arrive and don't see alot of options (that I like) on Amazon but so far I ordered these to start:
Screen Protector
Case

Ordered the Ailiber case, glass screen protector and holster from Amazon. Seems like a good deal at $12.99 until Encased comes out with theirs (which I'm waiting for). According to Amazon there are 19 left and the manufacturer isn't producing any more.
i grabbed the spigen tempered glass screen protector, 2pack used em on both our phones that came today, comes with a frame you use to make alignment easier, honestly easiest screen protector ive ever put on. not sure what i want for a case yet
Just got the official fabric case, feels great, love it. Feels like i have a Nest Speaker in my end haha, same material it seems.
The case seems strong and is slim enough, goes a bit over the display, just like it should to be able to put the device face down, but not too much.
It almost exactly matches the camera bump in terms of height, like a quarter of a millimeter thicker so the glass doesn't touch whatever you put your device on.
All in all, very satisfied.
I have used Spigen Rugged Armor cases for 5 different devices including the 4a5G and am extremely happy with these.
NONZERS screen glass protectors are OKish, as they fit nicely, but the hole for the front camera is a little bit off. The 3 pack come with a mounting frame which makes installation a 30 second task.
Problem with LK screen protectors
So I've noticed this with LK screen protectors. There is always a small tiny piece on the edges that never really properly seals. I've used the same brand on the 4A and the same thing is there as well. Now, to be honest I did take the phone out of the case and went over the spots with a micro fiber cloth and one of them seemed to go away. If you're OCD then it will bug you. If not then it's fine. @zaibas do you have this issue with your Spiegen glass protector?
*Also maybe the case that I'm using but it does collect lint/dust on the edges. Nothing a quick wipedown can't fix.

As crazy as this sounds, I had the same problem on my current iphone se2 and a little olive oil on a qtip fills the gap nicely. I followed someone's guide on youtube and it came out great. 6 months later it doesn't look as good as the day I did it but it's still way better than when I first put the screen protector on, It was a huge ring around the entire screen and looked terrible

Very clean look bro.
I personally like a case and I always find a clear tpu to be the most grippy. I'm currently going between:
TopAce slim TPU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08H26MD28/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Spigen (thicker) Ultra Hybrid: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08D65BG5X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Spigen provides a little more protection, while the slimmer one is kinda nice in the hand considering how wide this phone already is.

Spigen Liquid Air Armor..
Any word on Spigen thin/slim or Ringke slim? The matte black ones that have a soft texture, feel grippy and are very thin.
If not any similar recommendations with good grip and thin?
Sure aren't many 4A (5G) cases to choose from on Amazon. I have the one from Huness coming on Monday for $9. But what about going caseless? Any ideas how scratch resistant the plastic core case is?
I ordered this one, at least until better ones show up. Or maybe it's good enough.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08K76KN4C/
I need a case because I have a metal plate for the magnet mount in the car. Also, protecting the phone is a good idea when trade-ins come along. My P2XL from 3 yrs ago is still in mint condition and took advantage of the $240 trade-in value for it at the Google Store.
Took plunge from 2XL with $235 trade. Phone still does everything I could ask, just no more updates. Anyone see a difference/downgrade in resolution?
Some stuff sold out on Amazon. Wanted thin case. Went to Spigen direct
https://www.spigen.com/collections/pixel-4a
30% off still active for BF.
Went ahead and got everything here. Liquid Armor, and glass for screen and camera.
Glass seems way expensive compared to what is available in Amazon. Anyone think there is a difference/worth the cost?
Camera protector is new to me. Might as well. Apple rejected a trade in last year because lens cover was cracked.
Liquid Armor...slim and textured with Adequate protection. First time in several generations of devices that I will not have a Diztronic case. Always loved them.
Have also grown used to sticking a pop-up handle on the back. Used to think they are gimmicky....but quickly grew used to it. Still slides in pocket. Really helps with one handed operation and makes phone way more secure in hand. Works as kickstand also! Wonder if there will be a problem with it sticking to the textured back of Liquid Armor?

I too think the screen in the P2XL is somewhat better when it comes to font crispness and contrast black on white. Colors seem a bit better on the 4a 5G.
I also agree that I could have gotten another year out of the P2XL if not for lack of updates.
It doesn't feel that the 4a 5G is an upgrade, more like a sideways move.

I got the spigen glass screen protector, and case. I agree the template to install the glass was awesome, and my application looks perfect. Also the case fits perfect around the screen cover. I am glad I went with a name brand, vs crappy stuff off ebay.
