I was checking LG Twitter and saw that LG has new firmwares (Lollipop) for T-Mobile LG G2 and G3. For LG G2 it is D80130B. You can use LG Support Tool to update your G2.
Sorry if it was posed previously.
https://twitter.com/lg_firmware
Yep, installs fine and so far everything is working for me
Also installed it here. Haven't noticed any bugs..... yet....
Good to hear that it is working good for you because I have G3 and it is stable too. I wonder why T-Mobile is not sending OTA!
It should be available via LG Support Tool too.
Anyone that has installed this, when you reboot does the T-Mobile boot animation do anything or is it just a picture?

Just a picture.
Just updated via LG tool. While it did not erase my data during the upgrade, not everything works within the ROM. I'm doing a factory reset right now to see if that fixes the issues.
I uploaded a mirror on my server
D80130b_00.kdz - 1075.8 Mb
I tried to update via update tool and at first while the drivers were installing it said there was an update available then once the drivers finished installing it said that my d801 was up to date with 20g..... Oh well guess i will just flash kdz and hope i can get it rooted. First time i tried 30b kdz i was able to root using the method for g flex 2 but every time i tried after that it would not run the last script.....
Can someone confirm that this update includes volte support

Hello
Im download the d80130b to my LG G2 801 T-MOBILE and is working perfectly with LG FLASH TOOL
Anyone notice any GPS improvement with this update?
No but I noticed On Screen Phone and Wireless Storage are missing and I used both.
Too bad to hear that we lost OSP and wifi storage. About the only good news is that I don't use either of them. I just started messing with OSP and think it might be something I mess with, but not really use that often. I've decided to take the plunge and install on my phone. I'll run it through the stuff I normally use and report back.
Can someone explain why wireless storage was discontinued? The feature was so useful as no cable was needed for transferring media.
Ok, been running this through it's paces today. I don't have any problems so far. It does take a little getting used to. I did discover in my testing that the GPS problems is, in my opinion, completely a software issue. When running maps, GPS test, or GPS status the GPS reception basically sucks. The compass was off, keeping lock was a pain, and updating location was slow/jumpy. Now for the heck of it I ran my Navionics boat charting app and it ran flawlessly.
Not sure where else I can post my finding for developers to work on. Let me know if anyone has other ideas

In my experience, updating via LG Support Tool wipes everything. I am backing up all my data right now. Hopefully towelroot still works on this version.
EDIT: So I just finished the update via LG Support Tool. My data was left intact, but stuff was broke anyways - probably from using system cleaner app and then not having root after the update. So I am doing a factory reset anyway and will start all over. I expected it to be wiped anyway.

I ended up using the LG Mobile Support Tool to install the update. I wasn't able to install the OTA; it booted into TWRP, then when I rebooted the system, it said I was up to date, even though I was still on 10a. I lost root, but was able to re-root with towelroot. Everything was still there when I booted, although I don't have TWRP recovery. Not sure if I want to do that since I read somewhere that I will lose Knock Code. Make sure you back up your data just in case things don't go smoothly.

If I use KDZ to flash the update, will I loose TWRP? Or do you think a flashable zip file will be made in the future?
I just updated my NON ROOTED d801 g2 and now my touch screen does not work at all. No errors during installation.
I ran into this problem before when I tried to update the touchscreen firmware through the menus via
3845#801#
My screen would go unresponsive, but after 10 mins and a couple of reboots, it would work back (my guess is that it reverted to the old touch firmware).
This time though, the touchscreen seems to be permanently disabled. Anyone else running into this issue?

Hey guys,
So I just got the G3 last week, and an update rolled out from AT&T. Me being the idiot I am thought it was the Lollipop update so I updated it. Turns out, it was just 10f.
Then when I looked for ways to root the G3, all the methods required the software to be on 10d, not f.
What should I do?
Any help is much appreciated.
Use the bruteforce method in Stump root.

100%. I rooted on 10f using stump.
In addition, if you plan on rooting a device and you know there is an update, please wait to install the update until you know a root method is found.

This is what I would do. It is possible you got a bad OTA as well. Did you factory reset after the OTA? I have seen many cases on forums where a factory reset takes care of many issues after an OTA.

I don't know man, do you have the correct app installed? Mine went through smoothly in less than 5 minutes.
I just did this - now i am trying to bump the device. So my memory is relatively fresh
Reboot for fresh start - Run Stump - it will say device not supported - try brute force - let it run - takes 5 - 7 and maybe 10 min after which it says "reboot" device - then go ahead and reboot device. Run stump again - it should say device is rooted. Next download "root checker" it will say rooted. Ofcourse if this all does not go thru - you can downgrade to a previous firmware and it'll go easier - however that's more labor intensive and you'll not be able to back up the current ROM with all your apps and setup.
Well, I ended up having to flash back to 10d as mentioned by many of you. This fixed the problem!

I can report no issues here with Stumproot on 10f and I've restored back to stock multiple times.
Sounds like something was just messed up on my phone, everyone else was able to use it!
perhaps this

works nicely, no muss, no fuss
If i revert to 10D do i have to use the BUMP method after root? Or just get TWRP/CWM Recovery like good ole days? I just don't care to have the BUMP bypass that is why I am asking.
I have the ATT G3 10F.
Today i get an update OTA
i downloaded it and wanted to update, but in the Update-Screen, the progress failed and my phone reboot
i have rooted my flex2 (h955) and the software recognized it and throw out an error
is there any way to update?
i searched the problem in google, but google doesnt found anything and in the G3 forum stands, that root is no problem with stock recovery and ich have stock recovery
You might have to unroot before doing the OTA update.

have the sprint version of the phone and woke up this morning to a prompt that there was an android update. with my brain not being awake yet i went ahead and told it to update, not thinking about root preventing the update. So went about my morning routine and came back and the phone was booted back up, but obviously the update didn't apply as i was still on ZV4, not ZV5. when checking for update it says there are no updates available.
can anyone help me/us out and post some steps for how to unroot and reapply the update? i'm good at following directions, just too new to this stuff to be able to figure it out on my own

woke up this morning to the prompt that there was an update available again, not sure why it does it overnight but won't when i manually check for update..... anyway, i disabled SU, rebooted, then started the update and watched it this time and in the middle of the upgrade it came up with the android guy on his back and it said error. after a bit it restarted again and was back to where i started, no update.
so it looks like i need to unroot. would appreciate any help on how to unroot so i can apply the OTA, thanks!!!!!
Here with a sprint flex 2. First time I tried ota update I was rooted and it failed. A few days later the update notification showed up again, went ahead and unrooted, tried the update and still failed. I'm not sure root has anything to do with update failing now. Could be something else. So far I haven't read about anyone successfully completing update and reporting it.
I was getting the same error message about being rooted even after un rooting the device.
I installed the lg pc suite and upgraded to 10d that way and then re rooted using the method on this forum.
It looks like there may be a flag thats triggered once u root that doesnt get removed even if u unroot it.
ugh! i can't even get my phone to connect to pc suite to try and "fix" it so i can attempt the update

Not as of right now. As far as I have seen, there have been no stock firmware dumps from the Sprint version of the G Flex 2. Attempts to restore it back to factory settings have ended up in bootlooping phones. The only resolution I've seen so far is unfortunately getting Sprint to exchange the phone. Did you try installing the OTA after root, or did you root after the OTA?

The only issue I really have with this phone is lack of patched native hotspot
Other than that, the slight lag I'm experiencing here and there I can live with. No other issues for me and I consider it to be the best designed phone on the market except for Sharp Aquos, which is unfortunately too small and has mediocre components.

It seems the update notification is coming from Google Play services. I wouldn't recommend disabling that package.

Does 10i fix gps? I was concerned about gps coming from the S6 Edge. They were warning me in the store about all these issues that the G5 supposedly has (not gps but other things) and I had read my self about everybody's gps problems. So I tried it out a little while ago and it seemed like it was bouncing around a little bit while standing still but while driving it worked pretty accurately, other than the google navigation arrow being sideways in the wrong direction.

O boy, not sure whats going on but the phone keeps rebooting after using LGUP and it says bootloader failed in red even though it is succesful in LGUP. The first tot i downloaded on the phone and then transferred to the computer. Im retrying with it downloaded right to the pc. Also i think things may be wonky as i already had LG USB mobile driver exe installed for LG G4. IDK what the issue is here. EDIT.......GRRR stupid me , I never unlocked the bootloader as I forgot about it because it wasnt in the root instructions. I have no idea what to do now. Phone is in a bootloop.

I followed the guide and the video I referenced, I would start over stock if that's a possibility. I really don't know what advice to offer, double and triple check everything you do before doing it.

I ended up fixing it. 4 hours later lol. First time I messed up because I forgot to unlock boot loader. Second time i was having issues with the storage encryption after flashing autoprimes H83010i......so I had to redo everything all over again from scratch. I kept messing things up because I wasn't able to thoroughly read because I was on someone else's computer who was hovering over me and trying to make me hurry. Finally landed on 10i rooted, installed xposed, adaway etc.........after all these flashes battery pulls etc I'm not sure it was so good for the health of my phone lol. Also I'm pretty sure there's an update that just was released yesterday so it feels kinda pointless. Anyways, is there a way to disable the annoying messages on reboot and or change the boot screens?
Sighs, I really don't want to have to go through all of that just to get rid of an update message. Is there any other way? My phone is perfect on 10d.
