I tried updating the frameware using this :http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...ent/ruu-m8vzw-4-4-4-s-off-onlynewest-t2914914 guide, using option 1. I rebooted to bootloader, and it detected 0P6BIMG.zip, and it has been stuck with a blue loading bar in the top right corner, stuck at about 95%. Is this normal? Would it be safe to reboot?

Hey guys! I just got a used xoom tablet, had 4.1.1 installed, the device was not rooted. I did a factory wipe and after a restart it was telling me to install the 4.1.2 update. So I click to install, it resets and is now stuck on the green android guy and the progress bar is stuck at about 25%. Ive done the volume up power reset, takes me to the same spot. The progress bar isn't moves to about 25% and stops but the symbol in the droids chest is spinning. When I try to get to recovery, im stuck at the 'Starting Fastboot Protocol support' message.
I wish I hadn't updated, this sucks! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks!
I've run into trouble trying to install CM on my sgs3 vzw phone.
I flashed aboot.mbn, boot.img, and recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-d2vzw.img via heimdall v1.4 RC2 on ubuntu 12.10-64bit (used 32bit heimdal as 64bit did not execute).
Phone rebooted between each flash; not sure if that should have been expected, or not.
On the last reboot I saw "recovery booting..." in small blue text at top of screen with "Samsung", unlocked icon, and "custom".
Then the phone tried to reboot showing Samsung Galaxy S III flash screen, went blank, played the music tones like it was booting normally, but then hung showing the blue dot flashing and a blank screen.
I can get back to the download mode, but when I try to boot into recovery it repeats the above process.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Dave
I tried downloading xposed on my phone, but it got stuck on the tmobile loading screen, so I panicked and I wiped everything from my phone. There is nothing on it only 2 folders labeled 0 and twrp. I am able to go to download and recovery mode. I have tried flashing the stock ram using odin but i get a failure message. When i boot my phone its just a black screen with the blue led on. How do i fix this?
Ok I will admit it, I screwed up royally this time. My SM-N9150 (Hong Kong version) was slowing down and draining the battery fast. I could not get the downloader of a new stock ROM to work in Sammobile (tried multiple times, with adblock off but no go) and so I bit the bullet and used Kies to upgrade to Marshmallow. Of course this lost root but I figured I could just re-root (I had rooted using Odin with my old phone, but this one I had rooted using KingoRoot). However, none of the 1-click systems like KingoRoot worked, and neither did Chainfire via Odin (which caused problems on its own). So I flashed the latest CWM via ODIN. It said pass, so I went into recovery, did a backup, then did factory reset, installed SuperSu, wiped the caches and rebooted.
I kept getting weird errors where it would not let me boot into recovery or boot at all. so I thought that maybe CWM was not a good choice. I tried the newest version of TWRP but that gave me the "recovery is not seandroid enforcing" error. So I went back the CWM and tried wiping again.
After a very long Samsung logo bootloop, it eventually showed gearings turning but with instructions in Chinese. It then showed the logo again for long time and then showed something that had only 1 English word "system" and the rest in Chinese. There seemed to be 2 choices at the bottom of the dialog box. When I chose the one of the right, the phone showed a grey progress bar with Chinese letters above, but then went back into a bootloop; when I chose the one on the left, the phone turned off for a long time then restarted but again seems to be stuck at the Samsung logo screen before returning to the message with the word "system".
After it going into a bootloop that lasted over 1 hour, I pulled the battery and then went into recovery and tried restoring the backup I had made at the start. That just left me in the endless Samsung logo bootloop. I left it plugged in overnight hoping it would do something but nada. At one pint I did get a message "unfortunately, the system UI has stopped working" but screen was unresponsive to press OK, and it just went back into the bootloop.
I realize I did not do anything to unlock the bootloader. Would using KIES have locked the bootloader again? Could this be my problem, and if so, how do I fix it?
EDIT: NEVERMIND - ONLY NEEDED TO CHARGE FOR 5-10 MINUTES. Leaving the post here if somebody ever gets that problem.
The phone was rooted. Couldn't remount the system (r/w) so I tried a method from youtube. Pretty much soft bricked my phone. I downloaded the newest firmware and flashed it with odin.
Now I get a weird charging symbol - a gray circle with the white lightning that is pretty small and it's in the upper half of the circle. No percentage showing or the dots.
I can pretty easily get into recovery mode and tried to reboot it from there. It worked the first time but the android man (idk how it's called) came with a text saying 'erasing'. The phone turned of then and now I'm stuck and can't do anything. Tried to flash only AP but no luck.
Thanks for any advice!
