So under the "Devices and Acitivty" section of my Google account it shows that a Galaxy Nexus is syncing with chrome. The funny thing is that I don't have a Galaxy Nexus nor do any of my friends. After I changed my google password, it is still syncing which is weird because all my other devices were logged off and there is no way anybody could have guessed my password. As you can see in the screenshot, I don't have the option to remove account access from this Galaxy Nexus unlike my Nexus 5. I have also checked "dashboard" and "account permissions" and "android device management" sections and this Galaxy Nexus isn't listed under any of them.
I have already posted to google product forums, but no one has a solution.
If anyone knows how I can prevent this phone from accessing my google account, I would be very appreciative.

I already have 2-step auth. And in the op I already said that I changed the password 24 hours ago, yet it is still syncing after that.

The galaxy nexus doesn't appear on device manager, it is only listed under Devices and Activity.

Isn't that device one of yours but because of some build.prop editing somehow it became a Galaxy Nexus?

But I haven't edited build.prop. I just double checked and its definitely a Nexus 5 not a galaxy Nexus. Plus, I'm using chrome 41.0 not 34.0.

hello. hopefully posted in the right spot, but unsure if anyone has seen this issue... there was an update recently for the play store, so i did an upgrade, and now getting the nagging sign in error for gmail associated with this phone.
entering my pw does nothing. it just comes back almost instantly to reenter pw again.
i did a kill this to see what or where the message was coming from... what it killed was the google services framework, so its not a fake... but... wanted to see if anyone's seen this, and if there's a fix...
i'm on a droid 3 rooted, debloated, and that's all thats been done..
playstore is at 3.5.19 and gsframework is at 2.3.7
thanks.

your phone is rooted and cleaned (no bloatware) but how did you do that by flashing a custom rom or made by yourself
if made by yourself I suggest to delete playstore directly (use Root Explorer etc) and install from sdcard a new playstore you can find it by Google do not forget to activate "unknown sources" in menu/applications before to install new playstore form sdcard
another solution is to get stock rom and flash it then update playstore in this case all things should go if not there is a compatibility problem -last version of playstore is not compatible with your phone/OS

if that was the issue, all Droid 3's would have issues... or else all rooted Droid 3s would have issues... probably not it either..
**UPDATE**
This morning while browsing androidpolice, saw an app i wanted to try out (Google+ Analytics) ... so I tried to do it via the playstore on PC.. guess what? My Droid 3 was delisted from the account. How and why? I scanned the QR code that went directly to the Analytics app on PLaystore on my Droid 3, and installed successfully - it even lists Analytics on the PC view of the play store's "My Orders".
I was comparing the differences between my phone and my wife's Rezound, and I did notice one thing so far.. we both had the Droid Eris, and she had the Rezound now. Her Rezound listed verizon as the carrier, but on my account my Eris was oddly listed as verizon... and my Droid 3 not on the list at all!
Anyways, there's a link there for people who "Don't see your device?" question.. link is: http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1146414 ...
it states they are merging the personal google account with the google app account which may cause issues...
Now, is anyone having this issue at all? Google notes that this falls under a few percentages of users only ;\
mmm i probably won't go that route yet.

after googling a few, and finding more info, it ended up being a sync issue between the google servers - since the phone was registered to an gmail account that was made prior to whatever is being merged at this time, it messed up the sync. the error is gone now, and my phone is now re-listed in the devices list in the play store settings tab.
yay.

My buddy had the same problem with his phone. I told him to factory restore and it worked right after that. He said he possibly skipped over something at the initial start up on the phone.

yes i followed those steps to the letter. never got to the "yes i'm in" part. as i said before when i clear data in the google search app and then restart it, the settings showing google now and notification for google now appears for 2 or 3 seconds and then it go away. doesnt come back at all. dont know weather if this version of google search app thats the problem. there seem to be others experiencing the same thing on google products forum.

I am using a gmail account. Haven't had this problem with it before. What's the difference between a gmail account and a Google apps account? Also I did try it with my work email which I think is a google apps account. And tried it with another gmail account too. Didn't work.
I have the same exact problem, I'm trying all the suggestions but no luck. On the first start it downloaded some 128MB update and then restarted, after that I ran through standard setup ,but no word about Google Now there.

Havent still found a solution to this. hoping to someone with more experience can shed some light on this problem. although it seems there is an update scheduled for google search on November 13th. maybe that will hopefully fix the issue.
Have the same problem here in Dubai with a Google Apps account.
Google Now was working on my S4 until fairly recently. Disappeared when I upgraded to 4.3 have not seen it since on my S4 and now the same issue on the Nexus 5. Symptoms exactly as you describe. Signing out and back in etc does not help.
Original concept taken this thread but when I noticed that it hadn't been updated in a while and the OP stated that he had abandoned the path I figured I'd step up..
This mod is super easy so I'll try to keep it updated to the current iteration of the app.
Installing just the app won't let you save your channels or enable explicit lyrics. To do so you'll need Samsung's account service apk installed as well. I tested many apks and got many FCs until I found this one. I'm currently using it on klte Resurrection Remix on my G900T variant S5 Nexus 6p that is my daily driver and it's working great.

Device restriction was removed not the code where it checks your region/country. Milk Music is by default only available in the United States. I can attempt to modify this but unsure if that would be against XDA policy to link here.
No it is not against the policy u can provide a link
Attempted to create a "new account" and was told my email address was invalid...so what part am I missing? The two apk's are installed.

Well I've never used milk music before and I've never owned a samsung phone so I don't see how I would have had an account already. I would think it would give an account already exists as opposed to a "email is invalid" message. I gave them an @gmail account.

Login Issue
Both apk files downloaded and installed; however I was unable to login to my Samsung account (processing Failed error). I tried a different password to be sure but I got an incorrect password error that time rather than a failed processing error. So, I tried logging into Milk Music and I entered my username and password. It took me to a webpage error.
Any chance the Samsung account apk was updated more recently? I'd love to access my saved stations.

Looked into this.. the evaluation for country check isn't stored in the apk.. There's an internal url that the app calls which returns a true parameter as part of the returned string. Haven't been able to narrow down the code that parses that string.. Sorry.

Very well could be the case.. I tried 5 or 6 different 'SamsungAccount.apk' files before I found one that worked.. Most just FC'd which tells me the newer ones are most likely calling to code on the Touchwiz parts of the ROM on Sammy devices.. That wouldn't be a shocker.. If you or someone wants to share the latest account apk as an attachment here I'll take a look more in depth.

This one doesn't specifically but I figured it out. Download the following Samsung Account apk: Samsung Account APK
Download Milk Music latest APK: Milk APK
Install both. Go into your settings and add your Samsung Account under Settings, Accounts, add, then Samsung Account. Once you add this open the milk apk. You'll be required to login to it as well but it should open and work perfectly with ZERO modifications. I just did it on mine and it's working great!

What are the origins of this? Would like to understand where it came from before installing an unknown source application that has access to nearly everything on my phone.
EDIT: The play store version is 3.2.38.104-0_100601_955220 claiming to be version "4". The APK above reports itself as 4.0.10-50. Is there a good way to tell if this is actually an official Samsung signed app?
Edit: Apparently, Samsung has managed to get their Play Store entry for the browser to work properly for Verizon S7x users. No need to be downloading unsigned binaries from elsewhere.

Pulling apart the APK of the larger version has some stuff in it that may be odd. There's a quick_access_server_data.xml file that points to samqaicongen.com. No clue what that is, but it's odd the Samsung Play Store version is missing a few things like that.

I had the apk linked to from this thread installed until this morning. I got a couple of messages from both it and the Chrome browser when trying to visit certain secured sites that I use (the well-known mail order prescription drug site expressscripts.com was one of them).
When trying to load these sites, I received a warning dialog that the certificate was invalid and the connection to the site could not be guaranteed to be safe.
After uninstalling the Samsung browser I loaded from the link on this thread, I no longer get the warning that the site's certificate was invalid.
I don't know what to think about this, but I feel better not trusting the linked apk.
Please think twice before using this apk that comes from who knows where.

When I long press for Google search while in the Samsung browser, it shows results pertinent to the contents in the browser's current tab, just like in Chrome.
Samsung Browser's history isn't shared with Chrome. Your Google search results should be carried over to any browsers set to use Google as default while logged in to the same Google account.
I've read that there's an add-in in the Chrome store that will sync Chrome bookmarks to your Samsung account, which would then, theoretically, make their way to your Samsung devices via syncing through your Samsung account. I haven't tried to get that working yet, or even gone looking for it, so take that info for what it's worth.
