error 492 wipe dalvik cache cache remove and add your google account if youre using greenifys beta version please degreenify google account manager downloads download manager media storage play services and play store and clear cache
if you used internet speed master by nez droid, you will need to reflash the system
error 923 check your connection delete the file system/etc/hosts and , if present, delete /data/hosts. this error happens when a reliable connection to google cant be established due to network problems. try deleting system/etc/hosts and data/hosts (if present)
error 429 try on wifi instead of mobile network try using a different apn remove rooted xxxxxxx task killers
error 29 (4.4 only) looks like some phone using art runtime are affected try switching to dalvik
rpc 5 aec 0 error this sometimes can happen when you restore accounts.db remove and re-add your google account
cant establish secure connection - factory data reset. if factory reset didnt work, reflash the /system partition / rom
combination of 492 429 and 923 this means your dalvik cache is corrupted, your internet is bad, amplify is blocking some wakelock, greenify has cut off important wake up paths you used freedom or used lucky patchers odex all system apps in lucky patcher
firstly if you have lucky patcher, go into toolbox and select remove all odex files then delete system/etc/hosts and /data/hosts (only if present) flush the dalvik cache then wipe /cache. if youre thinking that an xposed mod is doing this, deactivate all mods and reactivate one by one to see which one causes the issue. try on a different internet connection. if everything fails wipe /data /cache and /system and reflash your rom. this error is known to be caused by notorius apps, battery saver apps, task killers that rely on root+xposed etc. Also, try keeping the screen on. maybe it will succeed

We don't discuss warez on XDA, which is what that app is. It steals from developers by hacking paid features. You will need to find help with that elsewhere.

Yup!! I know all you have to do is use root explorer and delete the file named hosts and uninstall playstore and reinstall again and use link2Sd app and make it a system app. Clear data of playstore and u r done

I wrote this guide a long time ago. Back then I had no knowledge really and uselessly associated error codes with what could be happening
In reality, an error code is just a condition in the code that evaluated to true and says nothing about the actual error
Maybe the information in this guide will work for 90% of all users but the information in this thread should just be considered wrong now, considering it's age and what I was trying to do with it anyway

Hi, I downloaded Titanium Backup and tried to install it but it keeps saying that there is no storage space and that I should clear some space. But i checked my storage and i still have about 27gb of free space left. I also tried installing and uninstalling other apps and it works fine its just TB that does not work. Anyone have any idea whats going on?
I have attached a couple screenshots so you can see.
Thanks in advance
Cheers,

What does the "Storage" page in Settings say?
Does it work if you install it directly from the Play app?
it says 25gb of free space and ive tried installing it directly from the playstore as well does not work but every other app works
OK, then the error message does not state the real problem.
Next idea: Install CatLog, then try installing TB again until it fails, then open CatLog and scroll up until you find the real error message. Or instead use adb logcat from a PC if you prefer that.

i got this from the logcat but don't know what it means nor on how to fix the problem
I think you may have too many apps running somehow. Try clearing your cache and davik cache. Have you tried side loading TB? You can download the previous version directly from them. Just remember to enable third party apps installs. If it works, you'll be able to upgrade to the latest version via in app or Google Play.
I don't know how to read the catlog, so no help there.
I've had this problem several times. It usually happens when you've installed it once before. What you need to do is go into /data/app and delete the Titanium Bacukup .odex file. I can't remember the full file name, but it'll have titanium backup in the name.
You should the be able to re-install fine.

I've read something similar when searching for the error message, but I don't understand where such an odex file would come from (usually, odex files exist only for system apps - the user-installed apps have dex files in /data/dalvik-cache instead).
But yes, deleting everything related to TB from /data/app, /data/data and /data/dalvik-cache is the next thing to try - the file names start with com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup (or, in dalvik-cache, with [email protected]@" prefixed). You need a root-enabled file manager for this, I use Ghost Commander.

Remove and re-add your Google account?
settings/apps. hit option, select refresh app preferences
I have the same problem.
/Dons flame suit
I tried to improve on battery life by converting both Google Play services and Google Play store to user apps with the intention to Greenify them (Don't ask ... I just wanted to try something). From the moment I did that, I got the message "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped". I converted it back to system apps, but this did not solve the issue. Since then I tried a lot of things:
1. Install Google Play Services 4.5.10 fresh
2. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
3. Clearing their cache individually
4. Wipe data
5. Wipe data, force stop
6. Retrieve both from a previous nandroid backup
7. Restore previous nandroid backup
as well as ...

I am at the point now where I can browse the play store without getting the message, but when I:
1. Try to update apps (from device)
2. Install a new app (from device)
3. Install app from Google Play Store on PC/laptop
... I get the stupid message again.
Bottom line, I messed up and would like to get full functionality back.
Please assist
EDIT:
I also downloaded and tried to install the following two APKs
com.google.android.gms-4.1.31(965943-30).apk
PrebuiltGmsCore.apk
...but it does not install
Bump
Just clean flash the rom and gapps again. Or wipe and reinstall stock. Whatever your using.

[Q]Tried possible fixes still "Error dwnloding app frm mrket.Insufficient space..."
Fixed the problem by reflashing the Stock Firmware. No idea what was causing the problem.
If you are facing the same problem, read it (what "Dark3n" suggested ) before proceeding for a reflash.
Hi guys, the Infamous "Error downloading app from market. There is insufficient space on the device."problem is back to haunt.I am unable to find a solution even after an intensive research and troubleshooting
When I am trying to install the applications from the Google Play Store, I am getting this error.
"Error while downloading <application_name>. There is insufficient space on the device"

While I have sufficient space (500 MB) in the internal memory.I can’t even install the small apps like Root Checker.ASUS apps are also not getting installed.
I have faced the same error in the past on my previous devices but that got resolved after wiping the cache partiton via CWM Recovery. But this time the problem is so persistent.
Things I have tried :
>Cleared cache using Clean Master and CacheMate.
1.Checked and if there's any “ .odex file” in “/data/app”.NO .odex file there.
2.Wiped cache partition via recovery.
3.Force Stopped “Google Play Store” and “Google Services”.Cleared “Data” and “Cache”
4.Force Stopped “Google Play Store” and “Google Services”.Cleared “Data” and “Cache” and uninstalled “Updates”.
5.Stop the market app. Then clear the cache from inside the task manager according to this post.
This error is annoying the crap outta me and I am at my wits end on this one.
P.S. Yes,I know,I can use "FolderMount" OR use "Link2SD" to link the apps to SDCard,I just don’t understand the point of wasting 500 MB space. That’s beyond comprehension.
[Asus Zenfone5 A501CG] [Rooted] [Android : 4.4.2] [Build :ASUS_T00J_WW_user_2.21.40.44] [Stock Recovery]
(Updated to 2.21.40.44 via OTA.Do I need to "Factory Reset" my device ?)
Ever faced the same issue ? Any clues ?
Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you!!
Could be a permission issue, or preexisting files that fail to be overwritten.
Try SD Maids CorpseFinder and enable all extra filters in the settings, that should find issues with preexisting files.
Make sure that you have enough space specifically on /data/data.
If you can record the failed install in a logcat there might be more specific information.

Thanks for the response buddy.I had already fixed the problem by flashing latest firmware by the time I checked your post.
You are right, that could be a permission.I have been using SD Maid for a long time and no doubt it's such a wonderful must have utility, unfortunately I didn't think about the preexisting files Anyway,it might be useful for othere users.
Thanks again for your support and developing such a wonderful app
Really appreciate that.

Did you install it?
Make a copy via ApkExport
Scan with online Virustotal. Decide.
If you uninstall it and that doesn't work, factory reset.
i don't know if i installed it. till i know as installation was done on the date i mentioned, at that time pendamic was active. i was not working anymore on that time so as i know about that time i din't installed it but just a hours ago i notice this app in my installed app note as system apps.

It looks like a rooting app.
I'm not familiar with that device manufacturer or app. However it looks like a high risk apk to me especially if you're not rooted and can't recall downloading it. It's probably capable of causing a lot of damage.
If running on Android 9 or higher, a factory reset should purge any root kits if present. If you do a factory reset, set a new Google account password (make sure you write it down correctly) after the factory reset. Change any other critical passwords.

Do a scan with Malwarebytes afterwards.
Keep an eye on your download folder and make sure install unknown sources is always disabled unless you need to use it to sideload.
Be careful what you install...
I opted in for the beta over the weekend and after consideration I decided not to update it since it is my daily. I unrolled from the beta, but can't seem to get the ota update to go away. Anyway how I can remove this? The update is downloaded and is asking me to install.
Try disabling these 2 apps.
That should kill. The com.ws.dm is probably the only one that needs disabled but better safe than updated

Tried that using alliance x. Gave me an error. If I can find a way to force stop then kill it I think the OTA update will disappear. I also went into apps and located the system update app and cleared data and cache.

Adb edit it. Someone said that clearing the system cache would purge the download however another member said this wasn't true.
That ws app might as well be a rootkit the way it behaves, very invasive with every permission under the sun. It's the first app I disable.
Surefire solution: backup, factory reset, restore. Problem solved.
