Hi guy,
So now i have a HTC Nova(elf) , and i try to get Android work on that!! but for now we can't get sound and some another features , so here is my Problem. I want to buy a new Windows Phone , which one can boot Android without problems, which one to u advice me to buy?
Thanks!
The best phone to buy for that, would be the Touch Pro 2, aka HTC Rhodium. It has the best support as far as I know for dual booting Android and most every feature works as far as I know, except sound which is near the stages of working. If you plug headphones in though, their is sound. Just none through the main speakers. For dual booting Android and Linux, the Touch Pro 2 is your best bet
Leo has also Android working on it (not at 100%) but soon we will have it
Yep, TP2 is your best bet right now...
Thanks Guys!! i will buy a TP2 now!!
Hello, everyone,
I've been using a very nice Sony headset (made for iPhone) with my old Desire HD without a single problem. But now I am traying to use it with Desire S and the mic doesn't work. The audio is ok, the button functions as well, but the mic is silent.
I 'm pretty sure that both the headset and the phone are working (I tested them with other non-iPhone headsets and other phones). So, wht could be a solution?
Would be gratefull to any comment.
Regards,
Ignat
Ok so I just got a pair of Red Beats Solo hd headphones as a gift from a family member. The control buttons on the wire do not work with the Nexus 5 so I was wondering if there are any mods I can flash(btw I am rooted) or if there are any other music players I can use that will allow me to use this feature. Please help because I think the headphones are great and I do not want to miss out on such a good feature.
Any news on this. As i'm planning to buy the beats solo HD for using it with my N5.
Or can anyone suggest a similar headphone with control talk that actually works fine with the N5.
Hello!
I'm entirely new to this forum. But I have a question that somebody might be able to answer for me.
My question is about the Marley Uplift headphones with a three button control.
I'm planning on buying it because i can get them with a nice discount.
But, my question is: will the three buttons work with my Nexus 5?
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, my apologies if I'm in the wrong place!
Maybe there is somebody that has some expercience with the headphones and the nexus 5.
If the buttons don't work, is there a way that I can make them work? (with an app for example?)
Thanks for all the help!

I bought the earphones
A friend of me had the earphones so I could test them with my nexus 5.
Everything works except for the volume control.

The reason volume control doesn't work is because Apple implements headset volume control differently to how Google does in Android. If the volume controls work with an Android device, it'll work with any Android device, but not with an Apple device, and vice versa.
Play/Pause as well as the mic should work fine regardless if it was made for Android/iOS, I think.
Headphone manufacturers sometimes provide an alternative version for each platform, but not always (and sometimes don't even mention which it's compatible with in the first place lol)

Thanks for the information After a lot of searching i found out that Apple has a patent on their own jack standard. So that's why ios earphones don't work with android because android phone makers aren't even allowed to use the standard. Silly Apple again

Not entirely true. My old headset from my GS3 did not work with my nexus 4, because there are two standards used in the Android world - basically Samsung and then everyone else.

I have a couple headsets with volume controls and they worked with all my Android devices, including a Nexus 5 and a Note 3, even an old Samsung device running Gingerbread which I don't recall owning.
Hi guys i have a question, i am looking forward to cheap dac/amp build and leaning forwards to fioo q1 mark ii. Am aware it is built for idevices but people managed to get it to work on android devices as well. But they say that andoid devices need isochronous mode activated. I couldn't managed to find any threads or articles about how to check that mode. Any help would be appreciated thanks

I have a fiio e17 old version and i use it alone as usb dac-amp or together with my fiio e12 . I havent tested it with nokia 8 yet but it works with usb audio player pro that i use . Since nokia 8 has not line out mode so you should buy something like that dac with amp (fiioe17k ) i dont know about that mode you tell (isochronous) .before you buy a usb dac-amp make a research if it works with your favorite music player
Edit i tested e17 with nokia 8 all ok(usb audio player pro)
