Ok so I just got a pair of Red Beats Solo hd headphones as a gift from a family member. The control buttons on the wire do not work with the Nexus 5 so I was wondering if there are any mods I can flash(btw I am rooted) or if there are any other music players I can use that will allow me to use this feature. Please help because I think the headphones are great and I do not want to miss out on such a good feature.
Any news on this. As i'm planning to buy the beats solo HD for using it with my N5.
Or can anyone suggest a similar headphone with control talk that actually works fine with the N5.

Hi, i'd like to ask you what is the best bluetooth device that work with Desire HD by quality, not by price to you?
I've used Jabra BT530 till now , but i want to change it. I've read a lot of threads and after that in my opinion one of these two devices might be prefered:
The first one is Jawbone ERA and the second one is Sound ID 512. I'd be grateful if anyone share with me his experience with one of them. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks
I use a Bluant q2. I bought it about a month ago, and i am more then happy with it.
Positives:
- rich list of voice commands
- battery life
- ability to listen music
- up to two devices can be paired
- best noise cancellation on te market
- design (personal opinion)
Negatives:
- a bit expensive
- not for tiny eared people

I have been looking around for an app that will route media sound through the phone channel so that I can use a non a2dp headset to listen to streaming music and Netflix. I have been looking for a while on here and the android market. Does anyone have any ideas?

When you receive your headphones, could you please check if Song titles (stock music player) and Caller IDs (caller name) show up on the screen?
Will test them extensively... as far as i could see from a youtube video with a motorola phone, the callers number does show up...

Song title is working on stock music player and Play Music. But only caller number show up, no caller name.
caller name shows up sometimes on my mw600. I own it for about 2 years now. totally worth the money.

looking at reviews on amazon this is an old device with so many negative reviews. Be careful it don't seem to be worth
I have them, but does not connect with bt of S4, I tested with several cooked roms. With the Galaxy Nexus I worked perfectly.
I have ordered a similar one last year from ebay, works great i do not use it with my headphones tho, i use it in my aux cable in my car, so I have a bluetooth in my car for only $23

I've had this bluetooth headset a few years. The biggest drawback is that it only got Bluetooth profile 2.1, but all the A2DP functions and Caller ID and played music track is shown. I can be paired with 3 different devices and it has an RDS enabled FM radio. I have yet to find a newer small stereo bluetooth headset with radio at this price. I'am however thinking about getting a Sony SBH50 as it looks like a decent upgrade. It got Bluetooth 3.0 and also an FM radio function. The MW600 is probably not a bad choice, but why get 5 year old technology when you can get the newest at almost similar cost?
Wasn't aware of this one... looks pretty high end! I wonder if the message reading options are available for the s4... would have gotten this one if i had seen it before. In white to go along with my phone.

Hi Guys,
I've had this In-Dash Navigation for several years now and back then, almost everything was only compatible with iOS. Now that I own a nexus5, the only way I can play music is through AUX cable. Does anyone out there own this In-Dash Navitation and know of a way to stream or play music with any Android phone?
I know this is way off topic but it's been driving me nuts and the XDA community is awesome and knowledgeable.
Thank you,
You can use bluetooth can't you?

Bluetooth only works to make and receive calls. I was thinking if there was a way to Mod the unit.

I have the Pioneer AVIC-X910BT, pretty much similar to yours.
It's not a "clean" looking option, but I have a Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth adapter, and a short male to male headphone audio cable. Here is a link to the item I am using:
