So i had this sd card ( micro ) and i tried formating it knowing everything that i once had on it was useless and might as well you know and at the time it was exFAT and formated it again then i put it into my lg g3 and sd sd card is blank or file system is corrupt format sd card so i was like lulz ok den. So i proceed to do so although the error would come back right once it formatted and it was a cycle. So i decided to plug it into my computer and see whats happening so i open the micro sd card in windows explorer and said i needed to format the drive for it to work so now when i try i get a msg saying windows was unable to complete the format . and in dis manager it shows as file system raw and partition healthy and basically i cant use it any more help ??

Of course you're right with the 4GB file limit. But for testing if your sd card still works it should be totally fine. Once the card works, you can format it to exFat in windows.

Try to use SDFormatter. Try different options. If it doesn't help, may be your beloved sd card is (physically) broken.
Fat32
I think you have to format your SD into fat32

I think I messed up my sd card for my G1.
I have a 8gb memcard and it was with 2 partitions ext2 and fat32. I just wanted to enlarge the fat32 side because the ext2 was 4gb big. Useless I thought So i deceided to make it only 500mb as ext2 and 7gb as fat32.
Now the computer can't access the card, it says that the cardslot is empty.
I use Paragon Partition Manager and there I can't modifie my sdcard. Nothing helps. I can see my sdcard in Paragon, but can access it and modify it!
Is my card messed up and do I have to buy a new one? Anybody knows how to restore it as it was when I bought it (only fat32 8gb)

YES you are so great!
It works now! Just like new. 8gb no partitions.
Thx!
No problem.
Now I have an another problem!
It always says write delay failed constantly!
Cannot access it, cannot format it, even not with sd formatter.
Is it now realy broken?
nobody :'(
Otherwise I have to order a new 8gb memory card which costs me a lot
use partition magic, create 2 partitions, make the primary partition your biggest and format it fat32, the second partition format in ext2. Then you will be okay

The problem is that I cant access my mem.card.
Always a fault: write delay failed. It makes even my computer freeze.
well if you have to get a new one get one of these:

Had the same problem after i used Paragon, would not read micro sd anymore. I did a system restore to before i installed Paragon. Problem solved. I am able to read my cards again. I noticed that in that "finish formatting after reboot" Paragon had an error. Figured thats what caused the problem.

Hi Karloe
Yes very happy with my white G1.
How is it with the black one running ADP 1.5?
I will try SDSPLIT, but i think it will not help
If it doesn't work, try a linux live CD (Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Knoppix (I like Knoppix because of the extensive toolset for testing))
[offtopic]
The black one is doing fine, engineering bootloader, ADP1.5 with appstosd

For the last 5 hours I have had hell with my sd card I redid my phone with JF new build and wiped out my 8gb class 6 a-data sd card but all of a sudeen it been acting weird
one thing is in paragon it shows the partitions still there (ext2) which takes up the whole card and should not, while windows shows its fat32, and i can access it in windows but it wont show up in in partition program nor delete
while when i mount it into the g1 (where it ask to mount or dont mount when plug it into pc) it instantly unmounts and i click mount again but just makes a noise and unmounts also saying its blank
now my 2gb chip seems to work fine (sometimes well if i unstall the drivers and let them re install then it works for a great amount of time), but this 8 gb,...well
what do you guys think? is it fixable? I can record video of it all (errors and stuff included) if u want
idk if its my chip, my phone or my pc can anyone help?
i think this has something to do with the way windows handles sd cards with no partition table. i assume you formatted the whole card to fat32 using a third party utility? that will totally confuse the system, because it cached a version of the partition table and now there's nowhere to find the new one. a quick solution is to use the build-in format tool to format your sdcard (right click on sdcard's icon and select format...). this should force the system to recalculate the size of the partition. then you have to unplug the card reader and plug it back in. now paragon should work.

after a long while, finally got windows to format the whole thing to fat32, but yet still acting weird
what kind of card reader are you using? certain card readers has their own controller and do not allow you to partition properly.
but i am sure mountd in android will allow you full access to the sdcard when it's mounted.
also how much total space do you have in that fat partition after format? a full 8gb sd should have approx. 7.45GB actually space. if your partition table is correct, windows should only format the fat partition and give you a size smaller than 7.45G.
I strongly suggest you try again under Linux using the phone as reader. any livecd with a partition manager will perform much better than windows.
Well i try it both on my phone and a mem card reader, but once I put it on my phone it does not detect a sd card (my 8gb im trying to fix) while detects my fat32 2 gb chip
on my laptop and pc cant format nor delete that ext2 8gb sd card
BUT that 8gb ext2 card im trying to fix loads perfeclty and can access it on ubuntu so im guessing its not physically broken

Hmm, what do you mean by delete the card? You can delete a partition, but not a card: I'm not sure makes sense.

You say ext2, but yet above you claim to have reformatted as FAT. What does your ubuntu machine think it is? One way to tell is to mount it and try to set permissions on a file, if you can, it is not FAT.
What is your objective, do you want a FAT partition, an EXT2 partition, both?
Well I got it working guys, I dont know what was happening as I said before different programs where detecting different file systems, but soon as I found out how to do it ubuntu I saw it was working and erased the whole card (all partitions and everything)
and now it works again thanks guys ur tips helped
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I can possibly do??
The card came as EXFAT, but most roms only support FAT32.
I formatted the card to FAT32 which was fine .. but after copying a few files the card now refuses to write or delete files. I can still open and view media that's on it but that's about it. I can't even re-format it, it will say the disk can not be formated or write error. The card isn't corrupt though, I copied around 30gbs of video on it when it was in EXFAT partition before. J
I'm using an SD adaptor into my card reader, but yes I have ensured the lock switch is off.
edit - oh also, when you place the card into the phone it'll say that the card is damaged/blank.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers,

Every time I place the card in, it will say the card is damaged or blank
Then it tries to format it but then goes through the same loop of saying it's damaged/blank

pretty much - there's nothing you can do. I decided to email Sandisk and here's their response:
I understand that the error that appear after format is “write protected”. First we would like to apologize for the inconvenience.
I understand that you are getting write protection error while accessing the flash drive. The flash drive has detected a potential fault and become “write protected” to prevent data loss. There is no method to fix this. You will need to back-up your data and replace the flash drive.
So you have to RMA it. I'm abit confused because others on XDA have successfully covnerted their 64gb cards to FAT32 without any issues.
Could it be a faulty batch of sd cards?.
first good morning/evening and thank you in Advance for your help

this sd card 8gb is not mine it was to my friend brother(it won't be detected by his phone) and he just gave it to me and here i am trying to repair it (so i know nothing about this sd card )
all i know is that it's detected by my computer and it work fine but isn't detected at ll if mounted in any android phone (tried on lg k10 2017 and samsung s5) i don't think it's dead since it work fine on pc
here's what i tried to repair it :
windows fat32 format
hdd low format tool
chkdsk (show no error)

thanks again

Right, my bad!
Well, maybe it's an hardware issue with the SD Card. If it doesn't get detected by any phone but in PC, I don't have an explanation to that.
Let's wait and see if someone else has another idea.

Also did you try another android device besides your current one

Even any third party software like Paragon partition manager cannot delete it's partition
You can't use a BYJU SD-card as normal SD-card. Hence trash it and buy a new one. They're not that expensive if you go for a 1Tb one

Hey! Can I Know which grade sd card you are trying to formate?
I have done it
You cannot do it with any disk partition utility (trust me i have tried them all). You have to make changes in CSD Register of your sd card.
