It's in Spanish but basically that's the problem. It started an hour before I'd land in my home country Argentina. I traveled from San Francisco, CA to Houston, TX. No problems. I traveled from Houston, TX to Buenos Aires, ARG and no problems until an hour before landing. To clarify, yes, I was already in Argentinian airspace and we were starting initial descent.
For some reason, this pop-up shows EVERY TIME I turn on my cellphone. I've used it millions of times (the GPS). I've even turned it on while in-flight and caused no trouble.
It's a almost new cellphone! I bought it Brand New and received it in Feb 14th. No harms, no signs of wear nor problems with the software... It's starting to bug me because even when I have my location turned off, it still shows the pop-up and my screen won't turn off until I hit the sleep button or press the "Accept" button!

Maybe because of Swiftkey. Uninstall and Install it again.

Clear cache on all keyboards. Uninstall google keyboard, doesn't play well with lg keyboard.

First, remove your Google account (no big deal, you can sign back in in a few minutes). Then, go to Settings>Apps>All> Scroll down to the G's until you get the first thing that has Google in it's name. The first one on my phone (galaxy nexus, CM) is called "Google Account Manager". Click on it and hit "Clear Data". Repeat this process for everything Google in the list. Now sign back into your Google account. You should never see that message again!

Did not work... Actually... You kinda trolled me... I rebooted and it suddenly, like... Changed my safe PIN and knockcode... This smartphone is working beautifully. Never fell, never was underwater or anything that can damage it... There's nothing wrong with it except the LOCATION, which stops when it boots, but it still works when you activate it again.
What is the relation between location (GPS, WiFi and 3G precision) and Google???

I would use App Ops that are baked into some ROMs (if using custom ROM with this addition) or Play Store the App Ops to see if, by using root, you can access this feature to restrict the Location for the wallet app.
Turning off NFC might help as well.

Just looked it up and it's not Google Wallet itself that is causing the issue, rather over all location services. You'll probably want to read a bit on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48051661

I have the same problem and it turns out because Google Wallet have "Offers", which always use Location Services (GPS, Wifi, etc.) to find the "relevant" offers (discounts, etc.) in your area.
I use Google Wallet for payment, but I do NOT need the "Offers" feature. In prior version of Google Wallet, I believe the "Offers" feature is disabled. However, now it is FORCED upon you. I don't see any settings in the Google Wallet app to disable "Offers". Anyone know?

And just turn off location to everything you don't want having the access. It's a great battery saver too!

I have used AppsOps to turn off Location Reporting for Google Wallet, but it seems something is still running that cause Google Wallet to keep causing this issue.
On a sidenote, I froze Google+. It still show up in App Ops for some reason and I see under "Location", it said it was last accessed 4 days ago. Thing is, Google+ is frozen and I got th ephone 2 weeks ago. So something is still running even if the app is in this state. I ended up uninstallign Google+
So I don't know if Google Wallet have the same thing...
It stopped happening after I finished setting up my account with a credit card and whatnot.

I know what you mean, was annoying to get pop-up offers when driving around. Looking into it, with Wallet open and on the main screen touch the 3 bar icon in the upper left. Hit " settings" then "notifications". On this screen just make sure "nearby items" is switched off (2nd option to the bottom). I hope this helps!

Google Play Services - Feb Update Battery Drain

The recent update of Google Play Services (background update) has led to horrible battery life. Has anyone else experienced this?

yes.
go to your main phone settings, location, press google location reporting, disable location reporting and history. that shoukd take care of the extra battery drain, it did for me as soon as i disabled that setting.
Yea I been researching on this left n right, but if I do that, it messes with my weather location. Is there a way to go to a previous version of Google Play Services that didn't have this issue?

That's odd. When I try to go to Maps after I turn off google location reporting, my lil location blue dot is gone. And when I try to press on the locate/center-in icon, it just says "Waiting for location"
**EDIT** rebooted phone and now it's working. I'll see if I still get the annoying drain.

Well, it's waiting for the GPS to get a fix.
Not sure if related, but "Android System" battery usage for me is higher than what it normally is. Before, it would sit around 10-12% on the battery list, now the norm seems to be 16-20%.
Are you guys seeing that too?

Google Now Help

Hey guys,
So I have this reoccurring problem on Google Now where it always thinks I am a few miles away from my house when I am actually at my house. I was wondering if there was a way to essentially "factory reset" Google Now? I want to open Google Now be able to set it up as if I was using it for the first time ever. Clearing the app cache doesn't work because it will just ask me to sign in using my email and then all my info is imported and my problem is still there. I know I have my correct address input because I have continuously gone through the set up process of that specific card to try and fix it.
Here's a screen shot to show what I am talking about.

Google Now tells me I am currently 8 minutes away from home, yet I am home! If I open the card to navigate GPS recognizes that I am in fact at home!! [emoji35]
Anyways any help to fix this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Wow can't believe I never though of that! Thanks, you're a genius!!
You might see what your location services settings are. If Google now only had access to your cell tower-based location, it might be off by a few miles. Whereas your navigation app probably has permission to use your GPS. This seems especially likely if your navigation app isn't Google maps which may point to a restriction of all Google apps to location data.
On an unrelated note, I would be hesitant to publicly display something as personally identifying as a map pinpointing my house. Maybe I'm just paranoid from one too many SAEDA briefs.

Samsung "Enhanced Features" popup driving me mad!

I don't know what updated today, but now I can't do anything without this dialogue popping up. If I click "Decline", it will just popup again within seconds no matter which app I'm in. It'll pop up when I'm doing anything, but if I wanted to force it to pop up to show you, all I would have to do is take a picture, and it will pop up either while I'm trying to take it, or just after. This made me think it was the camera, but I can be in iHeartRadio and it will pop up.
I know it's Samsung specific because it mentions "Samsung" in the Terms and Conditions, but it doesn't mention that app or service it pertains to. It is the worst ever, and I don't want to Accept it just to make it go away.
Any ideas on a solution?

Thanks. I even searched here for both threads and posts with "enhanced features" and nothing came up. I didn't search the Edge section, though.
For those that don't go to that link, this is the solution they give:
All you have to do is check the box agreeing to the terms and conditions, and then tap the agree button. Yes, this means you’ve just opted into the service. Then, however, you can open the Contacts app and tap on your own profile, which will appear at the top of the list.
Now, simply tap on Profile sharing and slide the toggle to off and you’ll disable the new enhanced features.
Click to collapse
The only problem is, I followed the directions, and after trying to turn Profile Sharing off, I got a spinning circle that finally ended with Profile Sharing back on. If this happened within my 14day BestBuy return period, I'd be heading in to exchange this for an iPhone 6+. This is not good, Samsung.
android police posted work around
Per Android Police there is a work around for the issue.
The popup is for the "Enhanced Features" component that includes Simple Sharing. This feature lets you push large files and profile information to your contacts. A lot of people probably just agree the first time it appears, but the fine print is clear that agreeing means your phone number, messages, and contacts will be collected by Samsung. - per android police there is a work around to stop it. -androidpolice.com/2015/05/11/some-galaxy-s6-owners-are-being-plagued-by-a-samsung-popup-that-reappears-every-few-minutes/

Disable Services App going berserk...

Today I tried fiddling a bit with this app. It's all good but after disabling a couple services in the Gmail app and finding out that they were needed a few minutes later, it seems like whenever I try bring them back to their prior unfrozen state they just won't stick, and every time I open the app they appear to be unchecked again. I'd really love to keep using this app but I damn sure need Gmail so...any idea on why this might be happening?
Edit: the app keeps killing the processes as shown on the attached pic.

I used to have the same problem. It turned out that I was being too aggressive with disabling limes into Google Play Services. However if I restore them it simply sticks as it should in the app, so it's not a big deal. With Gmail however it's a whole different story, at least on my device/ROM layout. I could try a full wipe but ain't nobody got time for dat...
A factory reset didnt repair the service status. I am rethinking of using disable service , does it slow down the phone over time ?

I'm mot using it right now, but I moticed that after I unistalled it the processes I blocked within the app remained blocked. A few seconds before uninstalling I just enabled Gmail, and being the app removed it just sticked for once. So even tho it's quite a crooked way to do it I managed to have Gmail working and the app doing its job anyway, even if it's currently not installed. It is a shame that one has to do such dirty workarounds in order to make things work as they should without breaking functionality, but that's the "fix" I'm using at the moment. Still no word from the dev so I've kinda lost hope anyways.

I wonder how much of a difference all of our micro managing really makes. Sure some processes are pretty toxic but when running a very slim build like deodexed XtreStoLite there isn't really much left to kill...right now I'm just using Greenify after a fresh install and I seem to be getting pretty much the same battery life...
Inviato dal mio SM-G925K utilizzando Tapatalk
No work for greenify on a clean install . The apps and service pile up over time . For me its :-
1. Freezing /unfreeze for facebook,kindle,amazon,etc
2.Disable services
3.App Ops
4. If apps crashes because of service disable then add on greenify
5. App Ops Startup + bootmanager
Using Old version of some apps like airdroid.
