Hey Guys, I'm not new to xda, but I am new to the Infuse 4G.
I was just wondering if there's anyway you can change the 4G icon in the status bar.... I flashed F1 Innovation rom HD 7.0 and it changed the icon to an H icon....
Not h+ or 4g icon. :/ I was wondering if there's anyway i can flash it to my rom or anyway possible where i can get it changed.
Update: Nvm.. I got it. You guys been remove this thread if you want.
So, I've got a UK variant Moto G, and have recently flashed the GPE rom. One thing I've noticed was that now, the mobile data indicator showed a 3G symbol instead of H+. Now, I wanted to revert back to stock, so I chose US rom instead of UK, because what the hell, I wanted it to update to 4.4.3 already! And naturally the 3G symbol is also present.
NOW, the question is:
is this an issue? Or is it that in the States, they just call the HSPA+ a 3G? Or did I **** something up?
Thank you!
It's how it should be. There is no H+ in US firmware.
Good. Thank you!
On US firmware 3G icon stays in status bar even when i am on Wi-Fi. Is it possible to hide it?
Edit: Found a solution. @ToastnButter, it can also change 3G icon to H.

I know on other phones there is a way to enable the LTE signal icon, so I am just wondering if anyone has been able to do it on this phone yet?

Any update on this? I'm wondering myself.
It really depends on the rom, whether the use 4G / LTE as the icon. Some roms have the options in the status bar settings to use the opposite.

im on att and use to seeing a 4g icon instead of the generic H+ is there any way to swap this? I installed xposed but have not found anything yet.
The H+ icon is the correct icon. I understand you're used to seeing a different icon but that's only because at&t incorrectly market HSDPA as 4G for some stupid reason. I'm unaware of any app or module to change the icon.

AT&T did this because Verizon put them behind the "8 ball" in the early days of their LTE rollout. Verizon was first to market in the US with LTE and AT&T had a marketing nightmare on their hands while they played catch up. So they tried to convince consumers that HSPDA was 4G for a while. More like 3G+...
As you correctly pointed out, the icons are correctly displayed. No need to change them.
