[Completed] Apps Crashing - XDA Assist

Any time I try to play a video (non YouTube type of vid. Idk what it's called) the app fails to respong for at least 30 seconds, and all hardware buttons are rendered useless. Then the app crashes. It's happening to me on Showbox but it's happening other places. I failed to mention this only happens when the video is put in landscape mode. Help appreciated. I'm running CyanogenMod 12

Video playback issues (second post since original has been closed and can't reopen)

As noted my original post has been closed and moderator has not replied to my request to re-open it:
My issue is that ESPN.COM does not allow their videos to playback on Android and wanted to share my concerns and findings. Bellow is a screen shot of the problem
Bellow is the reply of ESPN.COM and my subsequent reply
Dear Antonio,
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing these problems.
We have not received any other complaints regarding this issue. I also logged in and was not able to duplicate the issue.
Perhaps it was a temporary problem, or a problem with your browser or internet service provider. Please restart your device, install an alternate browser and try again and see if you still have the problem. You should also try accessing the content from another device to see if the issue continues. If a restart does not resolve your issue, then you will need to contact your internet service provider or system administrator as everything is working fine from our side.

This is my reply to them:
Please note that every time I try to access your website, no matter what browser I use, I always have the same issue. I am running Android version 4.0. This is not an ISP issue it is an issue with ESPN.COM not allowed to play video on my devise. Please see the attached screen shot. None of your trouble shooting steps resolves the issue. Also I do not have any issue playing video from other websites. ESPN is not allowing me to view their videos on my devise. Please advise.

[Completed] Errors on all XDA Videos ?

I am trying to browse XDA videos on youtube for past few days.
but only for xda videos, I get this error (screenshot attached).
Can you shred some light here ?
Facing same error even while watching embedded videos.
MOst weird part is.. happening only with XDA videos.. rest all youtube content is working properly.
Hi,
You can ask about that issue here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987254
Though it could be a YouTube issue, and not likely anyone here can help with that.
Another option is that the videos simply don't exist anymore on XDA.
Good luck!

[Completed] Audio is out of sync constantly on every app

OK, i have a Samsung note 8.0 tablet (gt-n5110) currently running cyanogenmod 12.1 which is lollipop 5.1. I am an avoid movie downloader and I have tons of SD cards full of movies I've downloaded. I used to watch them seamlessly on my tablet until recently. I can't recall if this problem started with the new ROM or not but no matter what app I'm using or what movie I'm watching, after a few seconds the audio track will skip and subsequently become drastically out of sync (usually 2-3 seconds or more behind the video which is maddening to me). I have tried multiple apps however I still prefer MX player. I do have the custom ac3 codec but I've tried using the default codec for regular mp4 files, same problem persists. Also, the problem continues whether I'm using a Bluetooth speaker or not. Any help would be greatly appreciate . I've fooled with all the settings I can find in MX, tried VLC, etc. I can't seem to find an answer that had fixed my specific problem. At this point I'm really frustrated and just want it fixed so if the answer had been right under my nose, you can call me an ass, I won't take offense, just please give me the answer lol.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
I assume you are using this ROM?
If so, here is the corresponding Q&A:
> Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 > Galaxy Note 8.0 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q&A] [ROM][N5110]Cyanogenmod 12.0[12/12/14]
Your developer should be able to assist in this problem. Please note, you will need to be registered for an XDA account in order to post there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] At&t Note 5 - Videos don't play

Lately it seems that my stock Note 5 plays videos once out of every 5-6 tries. It struggles to play videos I recorded too. Most of the time when I try to play a YouTube video it will play the first few frames then starts to stutter then stop playing altogether. I thought it was a YouTube thing so I uninstalled it's updates, cleared data and disabled it, then re-enabled it, updated it and still had issues. I also have noticed I have the same issue with Snapchat, Facebook, TheCHIVE and other apps (basically any videos it tries to play). I'm running stock 5.1.1. I read somewhere about going into developer settings and turning off NuPlayer and use AwesomePlayer instead. I tried that but it yielded the same result. Does anyone have any other ideas? I really don't want to wipe the phone.

I have already post there, but there hasnt been a response. I dont think its a specific device issue. It seems to be more of an OS issue. There has to be some things to attempt to fix this...

[Resolved] VLC uses 56% of cpu and can't be killed after playing some videos

Hello, I have a problem: I have a huawei phone with android version 4.1.2 (there is no custom rom to upgrade it) and when I play some video with vlc 2.0.6 (shown as "dark widget" in task manager), the phone becomes slower even once the video is closed, which makes even the browser annoying to use. It is very likely caused by vlc that is still opened and using 59.8% of the cpu and no task managers are able to kill it so I'm forced to reboot the phone every time and actually if I don't the phone itself will instantly reboot after a few minutes.
So I'm open to any way to solve this, an actual way to kill it, another player that wouldn't have this issue or an updated version of vlc that doesn't have this issue but still works on android 4.1.2. If I need to download something, please give me a link to the apk directly, as I also have the issue with google play that shows "your device is not compatible with this item" for whatever app I try to download, which I don't mind since I very rarely download any new app and it seems to be hard to solve this.
I think you should try installing *mx video player* instead of vlc.

Thank you, it takes a bit longer to open but it doesn't have the problem which also caused the phone to heat a lot, using battery and phone for nothing.
