[Completed] Errors on all XDA Videos ? - XDA Assist

I am trying to browse XDA videos on youtube for past few days.
but only for xda videos, I get this error (screenshot attached).
Can you shred some light here ?

Facing same error even while watching embedded videos.
MOst weird part is.. happening only with XDA videos.. rest all youtube content is working properly.

Hi,
You can ask about that issue here,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987254
Though it could be a YouTube issue, and not likely anyone here can help with that.
Another option is that the videos simply don't exist anymore on XDA.
Good luck!

Sorry this video cannot be played problems

Hello xda community!
I have been having a persistant problem with youtube lately with playing videos.
Everytime i go to play one, it gives me this annoying message "Sorry this video cannot be played."
I have tried clearing and resetting my browser, but the problem still persists. The same problem with the youtube app.
If anyone would be kind enough to help me resolve this problem, i would greatly appreciate it!

Custom rom? Fire wall activated? Latest flash players not installed? I have had those issues before that prevented me from using youtube

why dont you just use your youtube app?
I'm experiencing the same problem with the Youtube app.
In addition to that, I can't play any video from my SD card, getting exactly the same error message: "Sorry, this video cannot be played."
I've tried removing the cache used by the Youtube app, which helped in the past to solve some problems, but can't find a solution.
I'm using CM7 for Motorola Milestone.

Video playback issues (second post since original has been closed and can't reopen)

As noted my original post has been closed and moderator has not replied to my request to re-open it:
My issue is that ESPN.COM does not allow their videos to playback on Android and wanted to share my concerns and findings. Bellow is a screen shot of the problem
Bellow is the reply of ESPN.COM and my subsequent reply
Dear Antonio,
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing these problems.
We have not received any other complaints regarding this issue. I also logged in and was not able to duplicate the issue.
Perhaps it was a temporary problem, or a problem with your browser or internet service provider. Please restart your device, install an alternate browser and try again and see if you still have the problem. You should also try accessing the content from another device to see if the issue continues. If a restart does not resolve your issue, then you will need to contact your internet service provider or system administrator as everything is working fine from our side.

This is my reply to them:
Please note that every time I try to access your website, no matter what browser I use, I always have the same issue. I am running Android version 4.0. This is not an ISP issue it is an issue with ESPN.COM not allowed to play video on my devise. Please see the attached screen shot. None of your trouble shooting steps resolves the issue. Also I do not have any issue playing video from other websites. ESPN is not allowing me to view their videos on my devise. Please advise.

Youtube Scanlines

Hello
I don't know when it happens or if I just didn't notice before.
When I play youtube videos via the app, at 480p, it seems like there are scanlines across the screen, much like a scanline overlay on an emulator or that sort of thing.
I don't know if this is normal, or if I need to fiddle with settings somewhere.
I already tried to change a couple display settings in developer option but nothing happened.
After a quick check through a printscreen and looking at the picture afterwards, there are no scanlines.
Going back to the video, scanlines aren't appearing anymore.
Maybe something to do with the youtube buffer ?
Anybody with this issue ?
HOW TO REPRODUCE PROBLEM : Launch any youtube video at 480p, observe screen and weird scanlines on video.
You are not the only one with this problem
Check:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/stripes-watching-videos-emui-5-t3571796
Ive seen a lot of people complaining about this problem on hihonnor forums
Same problem here
I don't have the Honor 8 so I'm only speculating, but has anyone tried just uninstalling YouTube with an app like System App Remover (ROOT)...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jumobile.manager.systemapp
Then reinstalling Youtube from the Play Store to see if that fixes it or is it just a problem with EMUI 5?
Yeah known issue
