[Q] A700 Need Help After Cyanogen CM11. Not booting as expected. - Acer Iconia A700 and A510

Hi, new here.
I am having difficulties after rooting and reflashing my A700 to Kitkat.
Started with JB 4.1.1.1.
I was successful at rooting, flashing clockword mod recover 6.0.4.4, installing cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-a700.zip image and the google apps image.
Now, my A700 only boots back into Clockword Mod Recovery.
I have reflashed everything again, following the same instructions.
What am I doing wrong? I have been reading but cannot find anything to help.
I was expecting for it to boot into a new user inteface like I had with the stock rom.

Did you wipe data and factory reset before fashing CM & Gapps ?

[Q] Installing a non stock rom

I have TF300T rooted and unlooked with stock Jellybean 4.1.1 . I was thinking of installing clean rom 2.5 or another Jellybean one. If i do that am I able to go back to stock to get updates. If you could help me to get through the steps, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance for helping an old girl.
Linda
Well, the first thing that you need to know is that you need to make a nandroid backup using a custom recovery. Strange things happen. If you don't have a custom recovery installed (and I can't imagine why), visit the link below for instructions to install TWRP recovery.
http://www.androidauthority.com/transformer-pad-tf300t-install-twrp-recovery-97757/
After you have your recovery, make a nandroid backup. Next is the fact that you do NOT have to do a factory reset prior to installing any JB roms, to my knowledge. Wipe Cache/Dalvik Cache & System. Next step, flash the rom of your choice. CleanROM 2.5 uses AROMA Installer, and instead of me explaining what it is, simply try to flash and you will find out. You can easily follow the prompts to complete your install.
Lastly, REBOOT! When it finishes, if you experience a lot of force closes, like the dreaded "process.android.acore," only THEN should you try a factory reset. However, being that you are coming from JB, I wouldn't expect you to have this problem.
There...now that wasn't so hard?
P.S.: MAKE SURE that you download the new ROM before wiping. Pushing files onto the tablet can be quite a pain at times.

(Q) Is the official CWM Recovery 6.0.4.4 working for anyone?

Hello everyone,
I tried installing a custom ROM on the Nexus 5 for the first time last night. (Note: I've installed ROM's for years on different phones.)
It seems as though there is a problem with the official CWM recovery 6.0.4.4.
I found that wiping data/factory reset and formatting system did not actually get the phone ready for a custom ROM.
After doing this and installing the custom ROM, all my APPS and settings were still installed. Android went through the process of "Upgrading Apps" instead of walking we through a new install.
Thanks!
Greg

When I rebooted, it boot back to recovery. I wipe cache, do factory reset, flash stock ROM with Odin and still the phone always boot into stock recovery.
I don't know what to do to bring the phone back to life.

stuck on boot image with resurrection rom

Sorry to bother you guys with stupid questions, but in the past few years, I haven't done any ROM changing or anything close to that. However, recently, I've decided to give it a try. I was on stock 4.4.4 kit kat rom on my moto g 4g XT1039 and just finished unlocking the bootloader, rooting the phone and so on. Everything was doing fine when my phone got stuck on the boot screen. Can somebody help me fix it? The procedures i've done:
- Unlocked the bootloader from motorola's website
- Updated the bootloader to version 41.1A with this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/falcon-bootloader-upgrader-tool-t3093793
- Flashed the TWRP 2.8.7 recovery through my computer using android sdk and motorola drivers (downloaded here http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...ection-somcom3xs-experimental-corner-t2996266)
- Rooted using Chainfire's CF-auto root (http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/4g-development/root-xt1039-cf-auto-root-peregrine-t2942406)
- Backuped my whole system
- Full wipe on recovery (except for my microSD)
- Flashed the latest ROM file (Resurrection Remix 5.7.3) and gapps nano from opengapps.com
I've already tried a full wipe and factory reset twice, but the it's still stuck.
If I'm in the wrong place to ask, can you also send me to the right one?
Thank you guys in advance for the patience.
In the meantime, I'm gonna try to go back to my backup
UPDATE: I didn't wipe DATA (there is an option to wipe data besides the advanced wipe and factory reset on TWRP). After that, you just need to do the usual full wipe and factory reset and flash your stuff, but remember that, wipe data, you're gonna need to reboot the recovery. From there, everything goes fine. For those coming directly from kit kat, remember to update the radio firmware, otherwise the network/cellular connection won't work.
UPDATE: i've flashed the radio firmware according to the second post in here and everything is working. http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/4g-development/rom-stock-motorola-4g-lollipop-rom-t3142816

Flashing custom rom not working (recovery loop - messy data folder) MiNote10 (tucana)

Hej everyone,
I flashed a custom rom from mi-globe a few months. It was working great. Then I had the not so incredible idea of updating with latest miui eu 12, because the weekly update from the update menu was not working. It kinda worked, but it got too buggy. So I wanted to come back to a xiaomiEU Stable Rom.
It is now that problems begin. When I flashed miui eu 12, I got recovery loop. Lost all my data trying to fix, but I was able to flash the stock rom via the amazing XiaomiADBFastbootTools in my GNU/Linux distro. It worked! But the main issue is can not flash the custom rom again. I download the custom rom in the internal storage, flash the twrp via fastboot, enter recovery, create full backup, wipe to factory reset and flash the custom rom. Everything seems successful, but then I get a recovery loop again and when I try to restore the backup, the data folder is filled with folders and files with random chars in the names. Apparently the data folder becomes read-only for some reason as well. Then I have to flash the stock rom and tried everything again. I have done it at least 5 times now. I have searched a lot for some solution and nothing works
I have tried the OrangeFox recovery and the mi-globe rom, same issue. I really want a custom rom , but I have no idea what to do anymore. If I could at least restore my backed up stock rom, it would help a lot.
Please help me out and sorry I posted in the wrong section.
