porting MIUI 6 da Mi Note Download link available. only test if using multirom is not risk to brick the phone not for flashing directly.
Hi all i would like to ask to you experts if by your knowledge is there a possibility to use the MI NOTE firmware to try a porting for the oneplus-one?
here the link for the comparison on gsmarena
MI NOTEAndroid OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat)
ONEPLUS ONE Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat), upgradable to v4.4.4 (KitKat)
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6944&idPhone2=6327
Do you think is waste of time even try???
It's theoretically possible because they have the exact same SoC.

hi i tried to port from mi note i dont have the phone to try
just a question as i dont want to flash it
can be used multirom to try it without any risk of brick the phone?
if is not risky someone want to try? only with multirom dont flash as i dont know if is working
unfortunately mi oneplus ordered on the 14/03 is still not arrived and i cant try my self.
uploaded ask link for PM
in the update script i exluded all the instruction to format and delete adding a # at the start of that part of string
is that enough to prevent delete and format process?

Hi,
I was looking for developer who can make kernel (would be awesome also a rom) for MTK6592 especially for Doogee DG550. If you don't have DG550 never mind. Owners can buy you one. We will be so grateful.
Here is kernel source:

Thank you very much.

Hi man, would be awesome. Are system img and boot img enough for you?
I posted it here:
http://www.needrom.com/download/dg550-kitkat-02112015-blackview-dm550/
It's just rebranded DG550 and it's better than original rom by Doogee (causes battery draining) and they also fix time from internet and other stuff...
Well, all MT6592 are "ALPS". AFAIK
Please provide proper LCM Driver, etc.
As i have the same device i'm very interested.
Files u provided are way not enough for a "simple" build
Currently i'm running this Phone at stock kernel with DarkL privat port. It gives me up to 5days battery on moderated use. So the stock dg550 Kernel is fine already, at least on the battery side ofc
However in my opinion there is no reason why somebody would donate a developer this phone. It cost around 135€. People would have more benefits if they just buy a new, cheaper and more powerful phone while dumping this one.
If u like a good Rom, u can still try port cm12.1 from mt6592 plattform. We might just miss steps in ramdisk

I've contacted Doogee on some e-mails so be in touch. They post on FB post about developing roms for their phones. Does anybody know if they truly pick someone from XDA or 4pda?
Could some one please compile TWRP 2.8.7 or 2.8.6 for DG550? I tried but no success only boot loop
They dont share source. U can use stock Kernel and build cm around. Like few guys here.
Please just read the forum

Wonderful, thx.
Well it ain't boot(didnt pass vendor bootloader logo) on our Devices Doogee DG550. More than me already tried
Port from mt6582 to mt6592 works fine on first run
Yeah, it doesn't work at all. It was working on previous updates. They changed /data to 3GB that could be the problem, isn't it? I was working on flashable rom but it didn't boot. Even I use files from backup in TWRP, it must be problem with META-INF files.
Yeah other recoveries may work, but TWRP is best now like CWM few years ago. I can't even port 2.8.1 with that MTK tool on the newest rom from Blackview.
Also do you know about more complex tool for root checker? I have still problem I was using Super Su 2.46 but can't install busybox, so I used KingoUser and it was working but sometimes it stop working and I have to update Su binaries manually. BTW I don't like KingoUser, the Super Su is much better but doesn't work as it should on this rom. On my P4 5.1.1 working just fine.
my data is 8gb// ebr1 ebr2 .
what u mean, that previous version of cm12 kingzone worked on dg550?
The update script itself works fine with philz
For busybox i used "smartinstall" on Dark L Rom with dg550"

Hello.
I 'm trying to port MIUI V7 from XIAOMI MI4I to our Idol3 (6045Y).
I take miuiv7 from xiaomi, i take boot.img from stock 6045, i edit updater-script (remove flash modem and other things)
It boot, after a long time, touchscreen work.
I have to mix firmware (lib, hw and other)
I'm noob on this kind of work, but i think it could work
qlll, waiting to test it
2nd try: bootloop.
It's very hard, i don't know how to resolve.
There is no help on web to do that with lollipop x64 roms
I think that a dev can do this, Idol3 (6045) and MI4I are very close.
I believe on it
OMG I can't wait to test MIUI on the idol 3 *_*
Sorry, can't continue. It's my daily use phone.
I test new cook when it is possible ....

Well,Yu Yureka is a much better choice to port MIUI from.
I did think about porting it myself, but I gave up as soon as I realised that the stock rom had to be adb-pulled,and that the PORT rom was in .img files(system.img,boot.img-and the guides were for normal roms, not ones in .img files)
Yukera MIUI is a port too.
Trying:
From Yukera: app,priv-app,framework,media, font
From Stock: all other folders
I use stock 10.07 boot.img with modified ramdisk (miui stuff)
It boot but stuck on bootanim, no adb so no logcat.
I was also wondering if we could get FlymeOS ported, but I do not know where to even begin.
There is a msm8916(snapdragon 615) variant of the Meizu M1 Note, and Flyme supossedly isnt as troublesome as MIUI.
New step :
Using Boot.img from CM12.1 and modify ramdisk according to MIUI
Flashing Yukera MIUIV7 with no mods and then flashing my modified boot.img
Very long boot (15mins) and i've the setting screen but it's soft reboot and go to next setting screen, and soft reboot, next screen, etc ... and hura ! the launcher with continuous fc.
No wifi, no sim
go to next step, change dpi to 480, add soft key.

You can insert a stock CM launcher, you know,it shouldnt FC
EDIT
Wait, you took the unedited zip of Yu Yureka and flashed it?
Put the libs of our device, cause Yu Yureka only has same CPU,not the speakers,"deeper" hardware/software links, etc.
Ok Marionnette, but witch libs ? from stock or CM ? because boot.img is CM 5.1.1
I PM a link to the current build

ARDE kernel is good, but I sugges tthat you first try with a pure CM boot.img, not a modified one.
Well,if the CM based build is booting, then take the libs and other things from it(like the guide you mentioned says when porting from one device to to other).
I will try to mix something up fast, and after tomorrow last school day,I will have more than 2 weeks t have fun with this.
Hello
After lot of try, I have no good result.
Sorry, I stop testing.
Is there somebody who want to try?

Any solutions for port from TCL 3S M3G's rom ?
http://www.devicespecifications.com/fr/comparison/751d59366
http://www.needrom.com/category/tcl/m3g/
Hello,
M3G MIUI is still on 5.0.2, porting this rom is very hard without CM12 (5.0.2) base
Miui ports from m3g on russian 4pda.ru many ports
As you can see HERE somebody at Miui Brazil have already provided to build MIUI8 for our device but the Moto X Play is my primary device so I won't test it. If somebody have time well... You're welcome! A least 2 thing:
1) I don't assume any responsibily for broken devices.
2) The build isn't make or tested by me so I don't know what work and what not.
So happy flashing buddies!
For more informations please subscribe on the G+ community HERE (It is in español).
If you want you can thank THAT POST.
You can watch HERE too and download the ROM HERE.
Technical informations: The ROM is at V8 7.1.21 released with march security patch and based on Android 6.0.1
I am getting zip file corrupt message while trying to flash the rom.Downloaded the rom thrice,7zip and winrar showed no errors.Currently on twrp 3.1.0-r1.
error 7 on installation b1 and b2 versions.
The answer is: yair estas provando una version viejita aguarda y te confirmo cuando puedas testear. Saludos (He will let we know when he'll release a new version).
Updated link with latest build! You can find it HERE!
I remember the work isn't made by me! I don't assume any responsibily for your briked devices!
Someone is trying to port the MIUI 8 from another device to our lux.. in the wrong way.
Taking victara's MIUI 8 and editing build.prop and updater-script won't work, dude. lol
Mi4i has got same internals as our device and therefore, porting should be done between them. I had tried it once but couldn't complete it.

Hello.
I want to buy a Lenovo P8 from Gearbest: https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_1542868.html?wid=1640583
I have some questions:
1. It comes with Android 6.0 and has a locked bootloader (I think, it can't be unlocked). Can it receive update to oreo (the custom rom from this thread)?
2. Is it possible to install TWRP and then the custom ROM?
3. Is The Oreo stable ? Phone calling and FM radio is supported on this custom ROM? How much space is used (from 16 GB)?
4. Where can I find the stock ROM (Android 6.0), just in case if something goes wrong? On Lenovo website I cant find the stock ROM, and if something goes wrong (even with TWRP) I want to have the possibility of flashing the stock via QFIL.
(5.) On which kernel is based
A. Stock ROM
B. Oreo custom
Thanks!

New up-today Cdroid custom ROM available from ziggy815, but for some reason the ROM does show under XDA. I created a new thread but it doesn't show under Lenovo P8 topic thread. Maybe XDA database take sometime to update, IDK.

:good:
hello
Has anyone had success flashing 12.5 miui gsi on the mi mix 2s (twrp or orangefox recovery) - the baseband is lost and restoring it through a backup does not work until you restore a full backup from another rom (like 12.0.3 or lower or aosp/lineage). For whatever reason, the baseband is blocked when the gsi is loaded (boots up but no baseband or sometimes no device id depending on which device gsi was ported from). This was not case on mi max 3 (both android 10 miui). So i suspect it has to do with something in the recovery or the boot process where the imei and baseband are lost or not loaded. Thanks.
If you would share the link to the gsi used I will give it a try and see what I can figure out. You can pm it to me or post it in thread.

I do not have the device any longer but am planning to get one if there is some progress on flashing miui gsi's. Telegram was of no help (folks focused on aosp etc) though one or two volunteered some advice (one user "Carl" did try out and got the same results regardless coming from miui vendor or aosp vendor). Mi max 3 community is very focused and has had great success in porting miui gsi's like 12.5 and later on to the the mi max 3-they have even made an android 11 miui! (device older and inferior SOC compared to mi mix 2s) Will post details soon (just saw your message today June 12th) hope you still have the device
