Hello All,
I ve been spending the weekend customizing my Home screen . I am using Nova launchers , icon packs , xposed Gravity Box,playing with widgets etc.
I wanted to know if there was a app/Shortcut/workaround applied to the leftmost homescreen such that when i swipe right it opens an app or google now ( similar to the feature in action launcher to open goolenow).
Also is xfloatingwindows working on Lollipop and are there any good apps that I could apply only on the Leftmost and Rightmost Home Screen.
Thanks for all the Help

I have a Samsung galaxy 4 tablet 8" with 16GB ROM.
I want to move an app. When I press down on the app and slide it to a new position, it reverts back to the original position. How do I get the App to remain in the new position?
Hi there,
You must have in setting some option ticked where you can lock/unlock desktop. I remember some of the ROMs/Launchers had a "lock desktop" option under settings, where you would have to "unlock desktop" to be able to re-position icons or widgets

Good
This question is not particular to a specific device. I have a phone and tablet, one on Marshmallow, one on Lollipop, and they're using the stock ROMs.
I'm trying to get a particular look and feel from my home screen that I haven't been able to get yet. I think it is mostly because of a lack of experience, creativity, and the right tutorials/direction that would help me.
A little background... I have used Themer, SSLauncher, Apex, Nova (a loooong time ago), and a few other launchers, as well as Popup Widget 2 and Zooper.
Thanks all
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Unfortunately, it may be hard for others to help you unless you are specific on the 'look and feel' you want on your home screen.
Try describing what you want in the most detail you can, and I'm sure you will find a solution.

Hey, before anything thank you for your time. So I'm coming from the Samsung Galaxy Light and very much prefer the old hard key setup. For instance the recent apps button was the menu button and I simply had to long-press the home button to view recent apps. I wish to revert to these old settings. I have already rooted this device and flashed/installed xposed framework. I figured out how to to edit the key layout file called "Generic.kl" and have already changed the recent apps key to menu, however I cannot figure out how to change long-press home to the recent apps key and have decided to search for help. I wasn't able to find anything on search engines concerning my issue and have resorted to this forum.
What do I have to do to remap longpress home to recent apps on the Galaxy on5?
