Hello, I am new in rooting. I tried to root my Motorola Droid Razr HD xt926 (Kitkat version 182.46.16.XT926) using droid razr hd utility by Matt Groff. I thought that this utitily can restore the kitkat version to Jelly bean. So, I tried option 1 of this and put my phone in AP Fastboot and connect it to PC and start the process. Everything was fine till here but then the utility said "preflash validation failed", then it wiped my data and the process was finished and my phone restarted. When it get on I saw the activation screen. I selected English(USA), then it said Please wait. It might take few minutes and this message never vanished. So i rebooted my phone again this happened. so I bypass the activation screen by tapping all four corner (u might know). THEN , I was shocked to see that the Wifi bution is not switching on and my phone cannot detect my sim.
NOW WHAT SHOULD I DO>
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Please standby when we move your post here RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good Luck!
You cannot downgrade if your boot loader is locked. You need to reflash to the firmware you were on prior to trying the utility.

Hi guys. I'm worried that my droid razr m can't be unlocked. I have rooted my phone using the safestrap tool running jellybean 4.1.2. The thing is that i can't unlock my bootloader using "motopocalypse" . It keeps showing "device is locked status:0". What should i do guys ? And on top of that my brother flashed the CWM recovery. Now when ever i restart my phone it boots up to "bootloader" and is stuck there. I can normalboot my device by pressing volume "up+down+power" and so on. But i've tried numerous times to unlock it using motopocalypse but it doesn't.
PLEASE HELP!!!!
and Yeah , this is my first post on xda ..sorry if my english isn't good
Hi,
I suggest you read the opening post of the following thread carefully, and perhaps the last few pages to see what's been discussed recently about it, you can post there too,
> Motorola Droid RAZR M > Droid RAZR M General > [How-To][tutorial] Bootloader Unlock, Custom Recovery Razr M
As far as your other issue, I'm not sure how a custom recovery could be installed if your bootloader is locked... But you can ask about that here,
> Motorola Droid RAZR M > Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!

You are right, but since my brother flashed recovery while the bootloader was locked... Now when ever i start up my phone it boots into bootloader instead of booting up normally and says "device is locked status :0" and" fastboot reason: flash failed ".. Now I can't get to reboot into recovery. When ever I boot into recovery it shows laid down Android with red triangle and exclamation mark and from there I can't do anything ... Does that mean I can't even update to kk because recovery seems to be corrupted...
You'll need to ask about it through one of the links above. ?

Thanks anyway, darth.... Highly appreciated.
First of all, this is an awesome site..! so much support.
I went to load MOFOROOT onto droid turbo, the cable go unplugged in middle of process.
Turbo has been stuck in bootloop ever since.
Using windows 8 and I have used every resource to try and get the phone to connect to computer so I can reload stock ROM. The drivers will not load to the phone.
I have used USBDeview.
I have done partition clean.
I have wiped/factory reset
I have tried RSD Lite - which will not find the device
I have tried connecting it to PC through recovery mode.
My biggest issue is not being able to load correct drivers. Which may never happen so JTAG?
No matter what procedure I try from every forum, I do not get the desired outcome that most do.
What do I do?
any ideas?
V/r,

Hello there. I'm new and I have a problem upgrading to 5.0 from kitkat. I barely know anything about cellphones and my friend was helping me out before this happened.
So the background story was this:
My cellphone (Moto G LTE XT1040) was not showing the push notifications so after digging, I looked for some solutions that required a rooted cellphone, so I did it.
I unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom recovery (TWRP), then I installed SuperSU to make the cellphone root and tinkered around with the solutions to the push notifications issue, and left the cellphone untouched after.
Just this week, I recieved the upgrade to android 5.1 and before installing it I unrooted the cellphone, uninstalled SuperSu, flashed it with stock recovery and then a factory reset it. That should clean everything, but it turns out that after 2 failed tries, It doesnt install the upgrade. The cellphone shuts down and it shows that it tries to install the upgrade but the bar fills up until around 15% and a quick error message displays and it restarts normally.
Should I just install the stock rom (the 500 mb file) so all functions and settings go back to true default?
Thanks beforehand and sorry for the bad english

Hi everyone,
I own a Motorola Moto G2 (XT1068, dual sim) that came used with Android 6.0 on it.
I installed TWRP (twrp-3.0.2-3-titan.img) on it but failed to root Android 6.0 as well as 5.0 for whatever not yet understood reason. I don't do Android development for a living but I'm an IT professional, so handling adb and fastboot as well as reading and understanding instructions isn't a problem.
I flashed stock Android 4.4.4 (RETDEALL_XT1068_4.4.4_KXB21.85-14) which I successfully rooted by installing SuperSU via TWRP.
Next I updated SuperSU, verified that root access is indeed working and installed FlashFire, which I hoped to use to install OS upgrades, possibly without losing root. FlashFire is new to me (as of yesterday), everything else mentioned up to here is not.
I used the "Flash ZIP or OTA" action from within FlashFire and the previously downloaded update file in the /cache directory. I can't reproduce the file name since the phone is currently unusable and I didn't write the file name down prior to using FlashFire.
The state of the phone after this unsuccessful attempt was that of a broken USB device, i.e. unable to even register as whatever type of USB device. I learned that this can be fixed by holding the power button down for more than one minute, after which I managed to
get the phone to be shown as working "RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008" USB serial device in Windows 7 device manager.
I used the information in these two threads:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-unbrick-moto-g-falcon-t3394788
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/how-to-revive-hard-bricked-moto-g-t2833798
Since I started with Android 4.4.4 trying to upgrade to 5.0, I had hoped that the blank flash package for one of these Android versions would help fix my problem, but as of now, this doesn't seem to be the case. At the end of the blank flashing process, I get the message
FAILED <blank-flash:sdl-transfer-image:sdl-hello: error sending packet>
After that, the phone still has a black screen and cannot boot into anything. Repeating blank flash works after resetting whatever part of it is still working by holding the power button down for about 30+ seconds.
Is there anything obvious (or maybe even not so obvious) that I missed?
Thanks for reading and any help and/or pointers in the right direction.

Here's my issue.
I recently rooted/installed TWRP for this phone, all was working well until one day the system started running extremely slow>
Pulling down the notification bar took about five seconds; it took about the same amount of time to turn the screen on/off.
I searched everywhere for fixes and tried every one to no avail, so I figured I'd do a factory reset.
After trying the factory reset from the settings app; all the phone did was reboot.
So I went into TWRP and reset/cleared data from there.
Now when the phone starts, it brings me to a screen saying "Encryption unsuccessful" and only gives me the option to reset my phone.
When I press this button, it just reboots to the same screen>
I can't get into TWRP because before all of this happened, I disabled USB debugging so I can't use my PC to get into recovery. There's also no way to boot to recovery with just the hardware buttons; the only way to get to TWRP with this phone is either from apps on the phone itself or using ADB.
Am I S.O.L here? Am I going to need to buy a new phone?
