Hello, i´ve got a problem that is:
Because of a bad reset or another problem there are some apps that got unistalled and I have to install them back, but some apps aren´t allowed to it. The phone shows a message saying "there´s not free storage left, but I have and if I try to install diferent apps I can.
Looking for this in forums I think that the problem is a file saved somewhere in the mobile. The question is, how can I find this file? (I have link2SD, likely this can influde)
Thank you for helping and wait answers soon
According to your writing. I think your phone don't have enough space to install the new apps. Remove your unnecessary file from your phone and install those apps again.
move to sd card
go to setting -> Application Manager and move some apps to sd card that way you will free some space in phone storage install the application after.

Hi!
I've got a problem with my HTC Desire.
Today I've found a new upgrade for my phone. I've downloaded it but when it tries to install the upgrade, it say that there isn't enough space in the memory's phone.
So I moved all the apps on the SD, but is still not enough.
How can I free some memory? I could delete the cache of the older upgrade or something else?
Or there's an app to check which app is still on the phone but I could move them on the SD?
Please, help me!
Do you have pictures and videos? If so, check if they are on the SD card and not on your internal memory. Cleaning your cache helps, and try deleting your text messages threads.

I've already moved all my photo on the SD card and I removed all the useless text messages... but how can I clean my cache?
I was looking for some app, but I found only apps that requires root, and I don't want to root my phone.
Thank you!
I can't believe I have to make an hard reset to install an upgrade!!
It's crazy!

I have a Samsung Captivate. I do not have Root Explorer. My phone has been rooted. I have Super Manager. I wanted to change a parameter in the settings.db file. I was able to do that on my desktop. I want to swap this new file with the old Settings.db file. The dbdata directory does not show up on my desktop. So I have tried to cut and paste the changed file which resides in the sdcard folder. So I need to go from that folder to where the orig Settings.db file resided. When I get to the point of pasting I get an error saying that I don't have enough free space. This file is only 57KB and I have roughly 12 GB of free space on SD card. 3.7GB internally. Any ideas how to correct the error.
Note: I don't have "Root Explorer" because I do not want to give Google Checkout access to my bank.
Hi
Hi am really crazy im about to explode because i cant install Plants vs Zombies on my device....
Hi use Link2sd and my 2nd partition is 500+ mb free
And my internal memory has 120mb.
The apk its 73mb and i found another 1 for 50 mb.
And when i try too install it says " i have no space try to remove some apps to get more space blablablablabla manage applications cancel"
I deleted my cache......
All my apps are link2ed to link2sd
i Tried factory reset and then tryed to install nothing...
Link2sd only links apps to sd after installing on the internal memory but i cant install on the internal memory....
WHAT DO I DO?
I think you can use 'root explorer' to check out the free space on
/data/app
Maybe you have some problems with app2sd
Im, about, to trow, my cell from, the window, i, never wanted anything so a bad
first of all, dont post another thread on the same topic (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186863)
and yeah, like what aswasw said, its probably a problem with link2sd. try undoing it and see how that goes. if you still want something like link2sd, try data2sd or apps2sd (im not quite familiar with link2sd). and if you can install cm7 for your phone, do it. it allows you to force any app to move to sd and also gives you the option to automatically install your apps to sd
Hi,
I have had my phone now for a week, and am a complete noob to Android.
All my other phones were windows based, and I am used to changing phones firmware etc. I am OK with a lot of the terminology, only, not with Android based products.
Now for my problem:
When I try to install an app, I am getting the "insufficient storage available".
It appears (to me, anyway), that it's only when I try to install, or update an app, that required a rooted phone to install/run, (ie. busybox, root checker, titanium backup, etc.) OR an update to one of the apps that came as "standard" with the phone (ie. ROM based).
All other apps appear to install fine.
I have Googled the error and found loads of people with this problem, and some have had it fixed by the methods below. I have tried them, but I still have the problem (as do MANY others it seems).
Does anyone know of a sure-fire way of getting the functionality back ?
I have a couple of copies of LuckyPatcher.apk, but I can't run or install either of them.
I have tried loading the <whatever>.apk file on the phone, then running it, I just get the "out of memory" error.
I have tried to just copy the <whatever>.apk into \system\apps, but it wont copy - I just get a "copy failed" message.
I have checked in \data\app for .odex files - there are none.
I have manually been through the Manage Apps details and cleared out the caches.
I have re-booted MANY times.
I did have Titanium Backup, but I have uninstalled it for now, as the pro key wont install, nor will any of the other "pro" keys I have purchased.
I hope I have presented enough information to start someones grey matter to tick over some rational fault finding techniques.
Please. Can someone help me ?
Regards,
Paul

Hi,
I think your Internal Storage is empty.
You could move apps from Internal Storage to the internal storage.
Hope it helps

what is your android phone model..?

Hi,
I've fixed it now.
All the questions that have been asked are answered in my first post. I thought I would try and be helpful by including everything I could find about my phone and problem. I had scoured this (an other) forums, and read the questions people asked, as well as the answers they gave, hence the amount of information I gave originally.
Asking questions that have already been answered is of little use to me, and others in the same predicament, although I realise that it increases your post count.

Paul
I have a HISENSE HS-U970
Phone look good, but here is the problem out of the 4GB internal storage , there is only 200mb available to install app's , the phone ROM is a mess they have created 3 partition out of the 4GB, and only allow app to be installed on the primary partition which has only 200mb of storage out of the 1GB ,the other partition are reserved for music and photo files. What a way to ruin a phone.....
You cannot move apps to SD card. So severe limitation
I have been scouring the internetfor days for a custom rom which will remove these limitations and allow me to install apps to SD card just like other devices. But i have found none so far
Does someone know a custom rom that i could install to actually enjoy using this phone? i am close to smashing it with a hammer
I am never buying any android Chinese based phone ever..
Appreciate any reply
I remember the days you could ask a questions in this forum and get some answers, these days most posts goes unanswered very sad days.
If your rooted Foldermount would serve you well. A lot of people use Link2sd which I tried but didn't work for me.

Link2sd
i think the best solution for your problem is as follows:
(u should have root to perform these steps)
1.download and install Link2sd from google play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.buak.Link2SD&hl=en)
2.go to the app you want to move to your sd card (u can use the search button)
3.tap "Move to SD card" if that fails and its a system app u can tap actions then select "Convert to user app" then tap "move to sd card"
For CWM and custom ROMs for this device go to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588130
btw i have the same phone and its great

Just install an app called Framaroot, and choose one of the options, if one fails, choose the other one.(that's how I rooted my Hisense U970, so it will most probably work for you).
PS: Sorry for the late reply
So its a long story guys.
I am Iman. And i have a samsung galaxy star pro ( i know its old, but i just need the solution, not advices to buy a new phone)
Yesterday i rooted my samsung galaxy star pro, with pc kingoroot pc software. And it was sucessfully rooted. Today I installed, link2sd, RoesoftRamExpander and FOLDERMOUNT in my phone.
Ok so when i was using folder mount when i opened the app it gave an error type of thing that a faculty error has came and it will have to do something to the sdcard (internal storage sd card) and it also said that i will create a backup as well.
I just clicked ok, and then using folder mount, i didnt found it effective because all the data was in KB's so i uninstalled folder mount. Now when i opened gallery it said that data is low than 100 mb delete some files. I rushed to settings>storage and saw the Phone memory was 4 Gb/4GB full. (my phone even doesnt supports apps2sd so i cant change default storage to ext sd card)
ok so now i opened es file explorer and the sd card was empty. I opened up /device and searched a file called sdcard.backup and it was there, which means that i have the backup. Now how can i restore it please??????????????? I really need to restore it. if theres an app to do it than tell me , i have also gone in foldermount settings but found nothing there. I can install apps, because the apps go to device/system>data
