I unfortunately cracked the glass part of the screen on my S5. The LCD and all touch capabilities are working fine. I looked around for just glass replacements and I found some on ebay. Has anyone gotten their screen repaired through a seller on ebay before? Should I try elsewhere?

i've changed the glasses on two s3 minis.
those glasses where the cheapest one i've found on ebay (china import) and the quality was good

Hey guys. Broke my screen for the 3rd time now. Instead going thru insurance is there a gorilla glass screen i can buy? I've seen ebay one but they say its not gorilla glass. Also anyone know if the chrome bezel is up for sale as well? Thanks

i too would like to know this.......dropped my phone the other day, and even w/ a case, the way it hit it put a small crack in the glass (not the lcd) and i would like to know so i can buy a replacement glass as well as a different colored bezel
There are many screens on eBay for the galaxy s3.
Just look up "galaxy s3 glass"
Keep it mind, the glass and the LCD is glue onto each other.
Those component are then stuck onto the frame of the GS3 by VERY strong adhesive.
The glass can be changed without purchasing the whole assembly which costs around $250 USD
But the risk of the LCD breaking is very high. The replacement isn't impossible, but just very difficult.
You need a lot of patience and heat to get the broken glass away from the LCD assembly.

Hi. I already bought some screen protectors from amazon, the amFilm ones, in anticipation for buying a s4. Then I went to the verizon store today to get my s4 and they gave me a free screen protector, it's called the JunLI professional screenguard (looks Japanese). Does anyone know if this screen protector is good? Because if it is better than the amfilm ones, I can return that on amazon.

I have not heard of this. I was in a Best Buy yesterday, but I did not take the time to view their screen protectors there. I prefer to buy my protectors from Amazon.com as they are much cheaper and you receive a good amount depending on which you buy from Amazon.

When I purchased my Note 4 at Best Buy I also purchased the Zagg glass shield screen protector and paid to have them apply it (good thing). The fist one he thought some lint got into the edges as they would not stick no matter how he rubbed and rubbed. He then opened another package (of no cost to me as the first was "defective") and that too did the same thing. So, I just had them refund me my money for the screen protector and the service charge to apply it. But, here's the clincher, I went to a sprint store to see if maybe Best Buy just had a bad batch or something? Well, the sales rep there said they are not recommending them right now because they are not sticking around the edges. So, bottom line you're better off going amazon for now till they get a fix.
Ive used the zaggs from bestbuy since my s3 and had them on my s3,s4,n3,s5 and now my n4. Always used the clear hd plastic ones and decided to go with the same for the n4. Works and looks great. Maybe its just the glass ones.
its not amazon, its not best buy, its not the sprint store. its our Note 4's screen. its slightly curved so the edges on the tempered glass cant stick, they arnt bendable enough. theyre making a "bendable" tempered glass screen protector but thats going to come out a little bit later on, probably after more R&D. i have a ebay screen tempered glass protector and it also has the same issues. i used to work at best buy and its all the same stuff. i personally use the ebay one while not completely sticking to the edges, it does still provide some protection and with the screen on, you cant tell that its not sticking.

Because my display was broken I search for a cheap front glass replacement, in order to have a good phone for someone in the family.
How about the aliexpress variants of non original front glass? Do you know another cheap model of glass? The original spare part in new conditions is expensive and not worth the price, considering the value of the phone right now.
