Q: How do you backup Bluetooth Pairings and restore them Sucessfully? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

So I have been using Titanium for years backing up apps and data, even Sms/mms without issues. After I got my M8, I purchased a new car with built in Bluetooth with is stupidly hard to setup. It freezes and crashes through the pairing process, and usually takes about 15-20 minutes to set it up after every new rom.. I never had an issue before with any of my aftermarket radios, but this oem one sucks (known issue, other folks complain about it as well)
So before my last flash, I backed up Bluetooth pairings in Titanium and restored them to the new rom (going from 5.01 sense 6 to 5.0 sense 7) and I could not get bluetooth to work at all afterwards. I couldn't see devices when i scanned for them, and all of my 8 paired devices were not there.
So my question to the XDa crowd:
How do you backup and restore bluetooth pairings?
Much appreciated.

[Q] (Q) Bluetooth connection error

Good day,
Hoping someone can assist. I just re-installed Gingerbeast and now I cannot get my BT devices to connect.
I wiped cache, including dalvik. I did backup my BT settings via Titanium, which may be the issue.
It recognizes the devices and says it is paired but not connected.
Also, the car now prompts me to enter a password, which it never did before. I enter the code and it still will not connect, just keeps asking me for a new code.
Any assistance, welcome as always!
You are most likely correct. I think Titanium caused your issues. It may have backed some other system data up for bluetooth that is incompatible with your new ROM. Have you tried to remove all connections and start fresh?
Word to the wise, never back up or restore system data as it can cause huge issues. I would reflash with a full wipe and restore only apps and app data and see what happens

[Q] Rooted Galaxy on CM7 Behaving Funny

Folks, I rooted my SGS2 and installed CM7. I have been facing intermittent problems and had to do a factory reset 3 time already (in ~8 weeks). Don't know if these issues are related but any insight on how to resolve these would help.
Issues faced:
1. Around 3 weeks back, started getting popup messages saying activity android.xyz is not responding and needs to be force closed. This popup comes for multiple apps one behind the other. At this stage, I can do nothing but a factory reset via the recovery boot.
2. While connected to a phone call (either making or receiving), there was a sound playing in the background. First it was of a child speaking (some media file connecting to a call?) and now (after a reset), there is a notification ringtone sound every 5-7 seconds.
3. I have Titanium Backup Pro and have scheduled backups that run every day. I do see backup files in the backup location but the 'Batch' menu shows '0' for all restore options.
4. When I try to do a Titanuim Backup restore after a factory reset, nothing gets restored.
5. When I connect my phone to my laptop, it is not identified. I have tried to re-install all drivers but hasn't helped.
Has anyone faced any of these issues? Are they linked to a single root cause or are separate issues? Any known solutions?
Thanks!

[Q] MyBackup Pro not restoring home and/or settings

So I recently flashed the 1.85 RUU since, apparently by flashing the 1.85 OTA update while the phone was plugged in, I caused it to start rebooting once or twice a day at random intervals. Anyways, it's a pain in the ass to reinstall apps and restore settings and get the home screens just right and I didn't have or want root (thus ruling out Titanium Backup) and I heard good things about MyBackup Pro. It restored my SMS and MMS messages, my call log, my apps, and my alarm (not sure how to check if it restored the dictionary), but my wallpaper, ringtones, system settings, and home screens are all still at default, despite trying to restore them half a dozen times. I was running stock HTC Sense 4.0 and the ringtones and wallpaper were what came with the phone, and MyBackup Pro SPECIFICALLY says it works with HTC Sense, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Any ideas?
I found this too, work with many other HTC devices I have had in the past like the Holiday or Wildfire but seems like the One (which is Sense 4.0) will not restore your home screen even if you are rooted.
Not sure what the deal is here but haven't had enough motivation to ask more
I heard back from the app developers about 2 weeks ago, saying that this was a known issue with the new HTC Sense 4.0 devices, but as I said, it's now been 2 weeks and I've yet to see an update to the app...disappointing...
Looks like its back and working as of the latest version

I need to Factory reset my Arrive, How do I make a backup?

So I am having issues relating to Bluetooth and car stereos and both Kenwood, HTC and Microsoft want me to Factory reset the phone. I would rather not have to reload all my crap and lose my texts. Is there a way to do this or not? Also is there a way to even factory reset the phone to the shipped O.S. When I did it when I first got this phone it just rolled it back to a clean version of the current O.S.
If you do want to know what my problem is with Bluetooth I will explain. This is my second Arrive, the first one paired with the radio fine and would do every function it was supposed to on all sources. The second unit is not doing any incoming Bluetooth text functions on the SiriusXM or HD/FM radio sources.

If you have a Zune-Backup restore it without Hardreset your Phone.
After a Hardreset all Backups made before are useless, you cannot restore them.
If you cannot fix your Problem by Zune-Restore you can do a Hardreset as last Option.
After that you can reinstall your Apps with Reinstaller.
So only your SMS, Mails and Mailaccounts are gone. But it should be easy to setup the Mailaccounts. I heard that SMS an Mails can be saved to, but i cannot tell you how to to. Please do a Googlesearch for this.
No Zune backup because the first and second phone came after Mango so as as soon as I plugged it into the PC the software updated with nothing in the phones yet.

Hello,
So you have no Choice.
Backup SMS is possible only on unlocked Devices, so all you can do is to Backup it with Copy & Paste Piece for Piece to a Word Doc and Upload it to Skydrive.

[Completed] Sudden Errors , Crashes, and SIM no service after new ROM!

Hello,
I'm currently facing a problem that i've never faced before in my past 3 Nexus 5 ROMS.
2 days ago i installed Cyanogenmod 11 and it worked perfectly fine, although i cannot recall when or how exactly this SIM problem (with like 3 apps crashing on startup) did start occuring, but i'm more than 80% sure an app or modification is causing this, but not the ROM or IMEI or Radio.
I made a nandroid backup and reinstalled the ROM, to my surprise the SIM card worked perfectly and there was service, this is how i made sure that the problem wasn't caused by the ROM.
but..
the problem still persists on the NAN backed up CM 11 the phone is stuck on No Service (won't even say emergency call , even if the SIM card isn't even there) and whenever i try to enable mobile networks in the settings, the whole settings app crashes instantaneously.
however that NAN back up has ALL my important stuff, there are loads of third party apps that i'll have a pain in the arse trying to re-backup with Titanium.
Is there anyway to fix this having known its not caused by the ROM , IMEI nor Radio? I really can't afford restoring 400 apps.....
Hi!
Would be best to ask the experts in the N5 section... Here..
>*Google Nexus 5*>*Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
And in my opinion there is no better way to backup apps than titanium backup. Relying on a nandroid isn't the best option. With tb you can restore individually and what not. Just my opinion.
Good luck!
