Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. You've chosen the wrong option from the menu. A boot.img is a kernel, so selecting that option writes to the boot partition, which means you've selected a recovery to be written to your boot partition (this is not good). The correct option to choose would have been recovery download. I'd suggest you check out this thread:

Hello Friends,
Today while trying to install Lollicop rom for my Core 18262, The CMW recovery mode doesn't detect my ext SD card. So while searching the internet for a help, I saw an article suggesting to flash the TWRP zip using CMW. I don't know whether what I did was the proceduure they said. I entered in the CMW recovery mode, Chose Install zip from SDcard (Internal Memory) and flashed the zip file of TWRP stored in my internal memory. That was the final time I saw my phone working. A Green Android laying down with a red triangle and an exclamation point is displayed. I entered the reboot option and my phone is still sleeping. It won't turn on. guys, is there any way to unbrick my device or will I have to buy one new? :crying: Please Help
I have tried to enter recovery and download modes. But none works........
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Exactly what zip did you flash? Where did you get it?

Hi , I want to install custom rom of cyanogen-12.1 on my samsung galaxy grand I9082(current ver 4.2.2). So i downloaded all the necessary zip files required for the process. Then I successfully installed "CWM touch recovery" zip using odin software. After that i installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25 zip file using cwm touch interface and rebooted my device. After reebooting i checked that SuperSU app was there in my phone and i verified this with Root Checker also(it showing-Congrats! root access is properly installed on this device! ).
Now i want to install custom rom of cyanogen and gapps zip files. When i am pressing (power+vol up+home) button it showing "No Command" and in the background there is Android robot laying down with the red triangle and the exclamation mark "Error!" message and after some time samsung's recovery mode options are coming with heading on top "Android system recovery <3e>".
what are my options-
1. Do i need to remove/uninstall current SuperSU and cwm?
2. someone suggested that i need to install Fix-recovery zip file also. For this do i need to follow process again for cwm and fix-recovery both using odin or fix-recovery only.
I dont know what to do please suggest really stuck!!

I bricked my phone when installing custom Rom. after installing the CM mod, I tried to install the TWRP recovery, it asked to reboot phone but after it shut down it haven't ever turned on again. Now I cant enter recovery mod since the factory recovery is missing and the new one didn't install completely. when I do a normal boot my phone automatically tries to enter the recovery mode, but then shows "could not do a normal boot; odin mode..........udc start. and is stuck on "downloading....do not turn off target..." any help?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You're going to have to flash the stock firmware with Odin and return your device to stock. Start here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...08-2013-odin-3-09-odin-1-85-versions-t2189539. And if you have further questions see your device's specific forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5-mini

Developers and users, please help me.
I almost bricked my phone. I can't boot to recovery, neither System UI. But I can boot to download mode. The device I use is Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 (S7582).
Before the incident occured, I downloaded Gapps for my CyanogenModded device. Now that I have downloaded the zip, I need to flash the zip file via recovery, so I selected to reboot to recovery. But instead of rebooting there, it was stuck on bootlogo and is not proceeding there.
I unbricked it by Odin3. Can someome close this thread now?
