I hve created 2 partition as given in but after flashing recovery,
Recovery is not opening can anyone tell me correct method to flash cm12.
This is must needed post as many are facing same problem while partitioning and converting it to f2fs ...
step 1 use latest minitool partition
step 2 try move resize.... for partitioning if it works ... otherwise delete and create.. for creating ext4 partitions
step 3 name them sd-data and sd-system respectively...
size--------sd-data> 1gb
sd-system> 1.2 gb
step 4 try to flash recovery using fastboot only ...as many are facing problem on flashing using terminal...
step 5 reboot to recovery > go to wipe > select data ( it must automatically mount as twrp 2.8.5.0 is native sdext)
step 6 wipe it to f2fs
step 7 go to wipe> select system >wipe to f2fs
step 8 install cm12
step 9 have patience drink a glass of water because it gonnna take time
step 10 Enjoy latest build!!!!!!!

Please help me...I flashed the FlyROM V4 correctly but its stuck at boot animation...when i go to mount sd-ext..its shows "Error mounting sd-ext"..is that the problem? If it is..how to solve it?
Make Sure You Made A Sd-Ext Partition Correct, To Check Whether You Made A Partition Correct Or Not, Just Mount Sd-Ext In Recovery, If It Mounts Without Any Error Then Just Go Ahead, But If It Shows An Error, It Means You Didn't Make A Partition Correct. So Now What You Need To Do Is:
1. Don't Partion Your SD Card By Using Recovery.
2. Partition It Via "Minitool Partition Wizard" Manually.
3. Create A Ext 4 Partition As Primary.
4. Now, Install Yannou's Recovery (The One Which You Install While Rooting)
5. Finally, Mount Sd-Ext And Flash Any Sense 4 Rom..
Note: Don't Use CWM Recovery, It Never Mount Sd-Ext At Any Cost.. Use Yannou's Recovery Or Philz Touch Recovery Instead..

thanks for replying here..i got the problem solved by just
1. removing old partitions
2. changing to philz recovery
3. making a new partition using philz and then flashing..
But now am unable to install any kind of memory script to increase internal memory..even after installing successfully .. the memory isnt increasing..what's wrong?
First open ur rom zip, navigate to system/etc/init.d and remove that 78mv2ext file and replace it with ur desired script and then reflash rom..
But do this at your own risk, if u get into a bootloop just reflash the rom with 78mv2ext script again..
Note: in sense roms, internal memory will always be 150 mb, but when you install apps its internal memory will not decrease as it decreases usually because of that Sd-Ext Partition you created..

lol i didnt know internal memory is always 150mb..but it doesnt decreases..if its true..then there's no problem.

Remove all your partitions..
Then flash the ROM..
As the ROM is in band memory card removal won't affect the ROM..
Now take a backup of your card..
Create partition through recovery ..
Use link2sd only not anything else..

I don't understand
You mean delete partions flash rom copy sdcard files make partions from recovery?

1. Empty your card by copying all your contents to PC..
2. Open minitool ..
Delete all partitions as you have 3 partitions .. Make it single means 1 partition make it fat32
3. Copy the ROM in the card after partitioning ..
4. Go to recovery.
5. Flash the ROM..
6. Reboot your phone
7. Again to recovery
8. Partition SD card
9. Now boot in ROM ..
10 . install link2sd select the partition type and its done..
via Apache Helicopter
6. Wait for boot or pull out battery?

im sharing a solution for the problem in the title
i have faced this problem once and this solution worked
go to section "wipe" then "advanced wipe"
choose the partition with the problem*
and choose "repair or change file system"
then "change file system"
you will find many formats
first choose any one for example "f2fs" wipe
wait untill it finishes then repeat from the begining and choose "ext4"
wait untill it finishes now the "data" partition is fixed**
repeat this method with other partitions if not working

Yes this is the procedure to unencrypt an encrypted data partition. Sometimes you can also just choose to Format Data and get the same result

i know but the problem is that you get this error even when you try to normally wipe data partition
so its a way to get through the problem
I tried everything such as Changing file system Ext2 to Etx4, formating data partition, flashing TWRP again but literally nothing worked! Device Xiaomi Redmi 6 ( Cereus). After I format data my internal storage ( 0 Mb problem ) got fixed but when I booted the device and set up the device and then I boot to TWRP and again the problem shows up 0 MB Problem and then I researched well and I get to know there is a file name Force-Encryption-Disabler or DM-Verity file then I formatted data partition and flashed DM-Verity File and it showed successfully flashed but but but here comes a twist when I set up my device again and I boot into TWRP Recovery it again again again shows 0 MB Internal storage !!! Please help me!!! If you know anything then please lemme know, it will be so grateful !!!

3 sesrch
4 click your phone type { exoiiinysss... bla bla bla for example}
5 find the last RAR file {2022 version} and click download
6 Open Odin 3
7 set your phone in download mode
8 click AP in your odin3 on your pc
9 choose the file
click start
thats all
Hi!
This method is for that guyz see restart middle of formating system
If u want install 4.4.4 ROM I recommended ext3
******Note: all ur data in phone SD will lost !!!*****
Its very simple
First format data in ext3 (if u see error do this again)
Then format system in ext3
Then cache
Reboot
Install ur ROM
If u see error flashing ROM go format system again
And besure no error left !
If u see goto error source and format
**be careful to don't wipe ex.SD **
//////////// USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FAILURE OR BRICKED DEVICES /////////////////
THIS IS NOT a PUBLICITY for Any ROM or KERNEL
They are Simply just what i use
I have successfully changed my data partition to F2FS and using arter kernel as well
Also I have managed to get the Data back in place so after the whole operation all my ROM data are intact
NOTE THAT YOUR ROM & KERNEL MUST SUPPORT F2FS TO BE ABLE TO BOOT
Note that changing any partition filesystem from a type to another will require formatting that partition
From what i understood converting /system and /cache to f2fs is useless hence I converted /data only as it the main partition that you write on
First of all your internal storage is in /data/media/0 path and hence it will be wiped
I used the official TWRP to be sure of no issues
Take care of the 12th step as if it was missed you will start from scratch >> CRITICAL
Note that Fstab file already contains DFE so if you are unecrypted like my case flashing Fstab keeps me unencrypted without flashing DFE
Now let's start the operation of converstion of/data from ext4 to f2fs in a step by step guide
1- BOOT TO RECOVERY
2- TAKE A FULL NANDROID BACKUP ( MOST IMPORTANT IS THE DATA PARTITION )
3- TAKE A FULL CLONE OF YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE while you are in TWRP( To PC either via MTP or adb command and i prefer the adb method as it ensure that all your files are copied including hidden files )
4- WIPE > Format Data > Yes ( it is a factory reset and all your internal storage will be wiped )
5- Reboot to recovery again
6- Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Check Dalvik , cache , system and Data > Wipe and DONOT reboot to recovery
7- Connect cable again and copy the FSTAB Tools ZIP file only
9- Flash the FSTAB TOOLS File
9- Wipe > Advanced Wipe > Check Data ONLY > Repair or Change file system > F2FS > Change File system
10-Copy via cable whatever you need from your internal storage or the whole of it as your wish
11-Ensure that the TWRP Backup you took in step 2 is copied to internal storage again
12-GO TO TWRP SETTINGS and Tick the 3rd option in the first TAB ( it is called use rm -rf instead of formatting )
13-The above step ensured that when you restore Data partition TWRP won't format it again to ext4 and leave it as f2fs
14-Restore > Choose your fresh Backup > RESTORE DATA PARTITION ONLY ( you will see a message that you are restoring a backup taken of ext4 filesystem , donot worry it worked in my case )
15-Flash the following in order : Vendor > ROM > Fstab File ( NOT the tools one ) > Gapps > Arter97 kernel > Reboot
16-You should boot to the OS with all your data ( settings ) like they were intacted and now the /data partition is f2fs
17-Restore your internal storage if you still didnot do it in step # 10
18-Reboot to recovery and Flash Magisk ( optional )
Notes :
- I though that 4th step was useless however it is mandatory as it erases Vendor or something similar
- I though that 6th step is duplicate to 4th step and was useless however without it TWRP didnot change filesystem to F2FS
- The FSTAB must be flashed after every vendor update ( it can be before or after ROM in the sequence , the most important that it is after every Vendor BEFORE YOU BOOT )
- I didnot flash magisk in step # 15 as crCroid recommends that you boot to system one time before you flash magisk
- crDroid default kernel doesnot support f2fs and if i didnot flash arter97 i wouldnot be able to boot
- By this setup i cannot go back to crDroid default kernel anymore unless f2fs is supported by it
- If ROM doesnot support f2fs the system wouldnot Boot as it would not be able to understand the /data partition filesystem
- Ofcourse any Kernel and ROM combo that supports F2FS should be valid to apply this guide
Finally thanks for all the Devs for thier hard work and dedication , You all made our POCO a lovely BEAST

Thanks @shouk_1987, good guide. Any chance you can provide a link to the FStab files mentioned in your post?
Is this arter kernel specific? I used shadow kernel and the fstab changes are flashed with the kernel

So, does this work with crDroid? I ask because both rom and kernel must apparently support f2fs and @gwolfu has indicated crDroid does not.
