Hello guys, I've been looking through the sony thread but still need some advice on rooting my Z2. I'm posting here since I do not have permission to post there.
My Z2 firmare is XX.314. I want to simply root my phone without risk of losing datas (and I believe is lock bl).
Can someone guide me through the procedure?
I've seen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2559009&page=8 but I'm not sure if it will work on my firmware and whether I need to unlock bl and will my datas be wipe out. Thanks alot
I think you should have a look at http://www.xda-developers.com/root/

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. No, unfortunately there's no way to unlock the bootloader on that model of phone, which also means you can't flash a custom recovery or custom ROMs on it either.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. I can't find a specific root method for your device, but usually all you need to do with HTC devices is go to HTCdev.com and unlock the bootloader, from there you can install a custom recovery and flash SuperSU to gain root access.
Thread closed, thanks.
How can l or can i delete all the sprint crap off my note 4 i want to get it unlocked and use it with a different carrier please help if you can
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. To remove bloatware you'll want to root the device then use titanium backup to freeze the bloatware. I would suggest you spend a lot of time learning more about your device and how to do that by reading here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-sprint. Rooting your device gives you the power to really screw it up too so make sure you know how to return it to stock before rooting. Good luck!
