Hey I am new to these forums and I got a question Google released chrome 41 for android on March 11, 2015 and it is now March 16, 2015 well I have not gotten the update yet I got the moto g xt1045 phone with kitkat 4.4.4 on it. I went on the Google play store and searched up the chrome web browser and it still says chrome 40 on the play store on my phone even though it was also says it was updated on March 11 so I am wondering is there some issue where I need to uninstall the chrome browser then re install it or what should I do I am new to android and I am just wondering why my phone does not have chrome 41 on it.

I am having problems with the latest Google Search App updates since Dec 5th (or so). The last version that I have working is 2.1.12.516912. I was hoping there would be another update to fix the issues but the update today, 2.2.10.546669, is the same. I have a Wingray Xoom running the last 4.1.2 EOS Nightly (155). When I open the Google Search App, as soon as it loads to the page where cards show, the app crashes to the home screen. It does not force close, it just disappears. The app is working fine on my Galaxy Nexus.
Am I alone? Any suggestions? Thanks...
Edit: I think I found the best answer for a workaround in the EOS 4 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35329721&postcount=369
Its because officially hot word does not support non neon devices, before it just worked, but now with the latest few versions it does not work.
Doing as I posted is currently the only work-a-round
My girlfriend just recently informed me that her tablet hasn't had any compatible apps for a while now, I think the issue arose when it updated to 4.2.2
She had a lot of various apps on there that simply disappeared. When you open the google play store on the tablet, there's quite literally only guides and crap that can install, all the major apps are no longer listed. When opening the google play store on a computer to the full website all the apps she used to have now say she doesn't own a compatible device.
She can't even install any of the Where's My Water games, which she loved
Overall it's rendered the tablet almost useless. Clearly this isn't right because all those apps worked before it updated.
Anyone have any fixes for me? I'm not experienced with android but I am very experienced with everything else IT wise (4+ years helpdesk) so if I need to root this thing i'm sure I can with a little guidance. I'd rather just get it to working again though. I've already tried a full factory restore, didn't fix it.

oh one more thing, we're in school abroad (Grenada) so the update occurred outside the united states, could that have disabled access to most all apps? I just did another factory reset here on campus (US based internet, appears in NYC) and still no go.
Is the preferred thing to do on these root/Cyanogenmod to android 4.3/might that fix it?
Thanks in advance!
Problem solved! As it turns out, Google got smart and somehow recognized the internet here as Grenada (they didn't before) and Grenada isn't an approved country for most everything. All I had to do was login to the google play store on a computer through a VPN to the US and everything appeared and I could send whatever to the tablet from there.
Of course, I figured this out AFTER I spent the time to do Odin/CWM/SlimKat but hey extra perk, slimkat is pretty damn sweet.
When I got my Nexus 5 sound search wasn't available even though it was actually installed on my phone. Using root explorer once I opened the Google ears apk, the widget appeared in the list and I was able to use it. Maybe it's because I'm in Canada, I don't know.
I've been having trouble syncing it with my account. Since Google Music all access became available in Canada yesterday, I figured I'd check to see if I could update Google Sound Search. There wasn't an update, but my phone is running version 1.1.12 and the play store says their version is 1.1.8 but I cannot download it, says already installed.
Anyone have any advice on how I can get the current version on my phone?
My pixel has updated to the Android P . Chrome stayed in v65 so I upgraded it to 66 using a third party app store. My chrome does upgraded but it ruined my system webview. Like this

Well first off, your phone didn't update to Google you did. And have you tried factory resetting? I was on Android P for a bit and apps kept messing up until I factory reset my pixel
My Pixel 7 Pro reports that it is running July 1, 2022 and "Your device is up to date." I tried "Check for update" and turning on "Auto system updates." My P6P is running Sep 1, 2022 for the Google Play.
In addition, the Security setting says that I need to "Add a screen lock" even though I have PIN security set.
What gives?
Android version: 13

Oh ok that info doesn't show up on the Pixel 7 Pro when checking update.
I have the same, if I go to Security in settings it gives a warning to 'update this device' because it hasn't had a system update in 90 days.
It shows Google Play system update: 1st July 2022
Yet when I check for update it says there is no further update. Coming from a Pixel 6 that was on September update for Google Play system.
