Can anyone confirm if note 4 and note edge use the same battery. If different then what are the battery model numbers.
Just asking to know if we have had the option of using note 4 extended batteries with note edge, guess there is no aftermarket oem who is making extended battery specifically for edge.
Thanks

I used in the past their product (for Note 2) without problem.

Note 4 battery is larger in size... Won't fit the Edge...
^ thats BS. I threw my roommates note 4 battery in my edge and it fits perfectly. I didnt power on cause he was scared it would hurt his battery... I laughed and said okay..

Very interesting.... I heard they were slightly different in size. (width I think) Are you saying this is not the case?
Yes thats what im saying. Unless the sprint note 4 has a different battery than the other variants. It fit perfectly in my phone.
Will that Mugen battery work with the Samsung flip case? I ask because they include a battery cover with it, which looks deeper than stock.
Note 4 (N910C) Battery is a bit longer than Edge (N915F) Battery. No, It doesn't fit inside the Edge either.
Have you tried it?

So the Mugen is considered as replacement battery with direct plug in? Does it require the ugly cover included? 6000Mah is quite interesting for an investment.

Is it the length, the width, or the thickness that differ. I have the note 4 duos hk model sm-n9100 which uses 3000Maj battery. The 3220mah battery for the sm-n910 models is to wide.

The nexus extended will work. It may bulge a bit, though. I trimmed a tiny bit of the plastic off and it fits fine. Some work with no modification.

Battery
I just got the Nexus battery about three weeks ago. The cover is tight going on and needs to be maneuvered on properly, but for me, there is no bulge. It works great and you can tell it is a higher capacity battery just from the additional length of time it takes to recharge over the stock battery.
I am attached to a charger most of the day, but will be giving it a good, hard work out when on vacation next month.
Looks like i'm going to buying this then, thanks guys. For those of you that have bought it, what were the time differences between battery length? I'm currently on SKYICS rom and with heavy use and lot of things frozen i get to 10pm with about 10%. I'm hoping i'll have 25% with this new battery.
Also being that this is an NFC battery, would that functionality still work when its finally launched??

I have an OtterBox, currently replaced tho with a Case Mate. I also have the extended battery. I haven't even used the extended battery, however I will be this weekend. Anyways, to answer your question, I briefly popped the battery in right after I bought it. As others said, there may be a slight bulge, however i'm fairly certain a case would work just fine with it.

Hi folks!
I have ordered and tried that replacement battery (look in google, from sunsky. can not yet post urls).
Though I had read somewhere that its actual capacity may vary from 2000 up to 2500mAh, I wanted give it a try because it is not so expensive, with a hope that it helps a bit.
Anyone else have tried it already?
Unfortunately I can tell, that I feel no difference to our standard 1800mAh. But I may be wrong.
For that reason I would like use a battery life testing tool and as a reference point, what tool would you suggest me to use to check the battery life from both?
Thanks
I've tried that battery (http://www.sunsky-online.com/view/3...r+Samsung+T699+++Galaxy+S+Relay+4G+++i415.htm)
Unfortunately I found it was sh!ter then the stock battery we have.
Also that sunsky battery lacks NFC. It's cheap for a reason, bad quality in my experience.
Check Nards tweak to the stock 2100mah Samsung S3 battery.
I've performed that trick to 4 of those batteries, and can safely say they perform wonders.

Hello dillalade
yes it is that one from your link which I tried also. I had been indeed influenced by the thread from Nards tweak when gtmaster303 mentioned that battery.
Thats why I wanted give a try to this one first before going further to the tweak.
Also I wanted post this to Accessories first, but because this seems like a question so I came here, and after collecting details I could report there my results as well. (The video on the registration makes you a bit down and stressed, so trying to be careful.)
Can anyone suggest me an app to test the capacity in order to compare them?

I've been looking into the gold battery and you can't always assume they're all the same. Get it from the same seller that's been verified to supply good batteries.
Either way it's still a win for us as the battery has a much higher capacity already. We should see a great improvement in battery no matter which S3 battery we buy

I suspect 'unable to return' won't be your only problem.......
From past readings, I read the Gold S3 battery was slightly thicker than the stock S3 battery.
If my interpretation is correct, then that gold battery (being thicker than stock) would be very hard to accommodate in our Relay battery slot.
I say this from my experience in already utilising the stock S3 battery in our Relay. In that the stock S3 battery is 'already' thicker than our stock Relay battery, such that the stock S3 battery is already a very tight fit (thickness wise.) So much so that closing the back housing door on our Relay is already as snug as I'd like.
Hence ifffff that Gold S3 battery is indeed thicker then the stock S3 battery, than you may have a hard time trying to close the battery cover on our phone with the Gold battery.
In addition to the tighhhht squeeze issue.... similarly to the previously discussed Sunsky battery above - neither can cater for NFC.
All that I can say from weeks of experience with the stock S3 batteries is that I'm able to achieve ~20-30 hours uptime with roughly 2-3hours talk time and 3-4hours screen on time.
I cannot complain thus far. I'd say, It's worth the extra pennies for that OEM Samsung S3 battery with NFC for that extra juice.

Yes, that's another thing I failed to mention. I too noticed that Sunsky battery failed to charge to 100%.
I guess we can safely conclude these batteries are cheap as nutts for a reason - they are poor quality. Ridiculous how they get away with stating these bogus MaH capacities.

I can not close the back cover with it, so I can not use it. .. disappointed and sad
Is the original s3 battery then 4.5mm when Nard says "a bit thicker"?
I find that a little hard to believe... how can 1mm make that big of a difference? (pun intended)
is the back cover really that flush that there's no extra room? Not even a slight amount?

But on a more serious note it's probably the same battery as the Galaxy Round, they're both 2800mah and that general shape. The Galaxy Round also looks quite a bit like the s5 when you remove the back cover:

Hey guys. I've tested this on my Note 4 and it fits! The volume rocker, power button and S-Pen slots all line up. The case does protrude a bit on the sides, however it is very minor and I am now using this as my daily driver.
This does Rapid Charge passthrough for the phone and has a full spare USB-A slot to charge a second device (not rapid charge though). The battery itself does not rapid charge in nor out but passes the rapid charge through to the phone while charging the battery.
Pictures to come.

There's no way that this case would fit a Note 4 and be a good idea. 1. The battery case completely covers the speaker and no sound is present. 2. The camera flash and camera itself are not located in the exact areas, whereas you'll be interfering with the lens etc. 3. The charging I this thing socks cause the connection is done thru a modified male micro USB connector which takes literally twice as long to charge and the correct battery. 4. Unless you have insurance on your phone, why risk 2 millimeters of loose play on the side of the TPU case? In my opinion, the most obvious choice, would be to use the correct battery with the correct phone. That's just my opinion, lol
