haven't tried the app yet but from the OP, i take it we can't add our own feeds or import our custom lists like Feedly and GReader, right?
If yes, any chance for such an option on a future update? Although i love my D7Reader pro... i am also trying to get another light app with material design aproach since it's really neat on the eyes
Anyway the app looks cool! but like i said i'm mainly interested in importing or adding my own feeds and not choosing from a certain "deck" of embed sites.

group link http://groups.google.com/group/wikipedia-for-android

Dark Theme feature coming soon~~
Good app, my wants/suggestions.
-provide a "near me" option to search wikipedia pages near my current location. Love this function when traveling.
-Queue mode. Maybe long press of a link within an article adds to your reading list. Or maybe long press opens article in new tab. This is useful when reading pages and coming across articles you want to read later, but allows you to continue reading current article without having to navigate to the new article.
-save offline pages to sdcard.
As far as I know none of the wikipedia apps have all of these features. It would be nice to get down to one Wiki app on my phone. Thanks for the great app!

Glad to hear it . If you want to open the link and read the article from your browser , you just need to click on the menu button of your device, then choose " copy the link " , so you can paste it on your browser
lot of you guys had send me postive feedbacks about the app , i really appriciate
some of you ask me how to avoid Auto-Sync , because the majority of you want the manual Synchronization their android news feeds
to do that, you just have to open Android Geek , go to the settings (on the tools section ) ; then choose "Synchronization" ,
and uncheck " automatic background sync "
" Settings "
choose "Synchronization"
uncheck automatic background sync :
Done
Once again thanks for using my application .

This app was developed with Angular 2 and Ionic 2, thanks to them for their great support.
Feedback and advice are more than welcome.
Downloading and testing. Comments soon. Thanks.
I do a test!
First smooth interface, I did not expect that for an hybrid app.
The integration of the "text to speech" is nice.
I will make a full feedback, I still use a bit.
After using the app:
What I like:
- user interface clean and quick
- readability feature (in my opinion, an important feature for an RSS reader)
- work nice on my smartphone and tablet
- i like adaptive view
As improvement:
- search feed could be more accurate (The feed search is currently very usefull)
- Add categories to feed
I think I'll continue to use the app!
Thanks for your feedback.
We work to improve search feed (next version will improve this)
"Add categories to feed":
There collections, collections are like categories, you can group your sources.
In "your sources" screen, top right menu, you can add collections.
Then you can change the current collection by the same menu.
Testing
I have a small problem at startup, your news was empty, after refresh all is ok.
Will be nice: An option "auto refresh articles" when "your news" load
Added to request for change.
Thanks
Someone else has issues at start up?

Hi all,
I've made a super simple app for reading news using news-api. It shows sources (groupped by categories). So in short, app can:
Add xml feeds sources to the app
Show each source latest news
Show a preview of news (with basic Share and Open in browser options)
Tries to fetch the full content of the news including images
Show latest news of Favorite sourcess
Shows you a bookmarked list or articles
Download on Google Play Store: Latest News

TODO:
optimization everything for the tablet devices
select preferred language
Thank you for being an alpha tester. Please keep in mind that...
I'm opened for requests/ideas
I'll even fix any bugs you find!
Will change the name of the app to something better, since "latest news" will return at least 3029482093480 items when using search on google play store.

Gregor :good:
Rollout of new release has started:
Version 0.0.1 build 6
- Improved speed of scrolling in Favorites list and News of Source
- Implemented the grabber system which fetches the whole article and parse possible text of article including images (this is alpha of alpha app!)

Thank you for your feedback. One of the next major improvements to app will be possibility of adding custom news pages. I will try me best to add it as soon as possible :good:
@paed808 & others

Another huge update being rolled out today: Custom feeds!
There's been lots of refactoring, small fixes and improvements, but the biggest thing is finally implemented. Adding custom feeds. Just add the url of the news page or direct feed url (example http://www.cbc.ca/news), select a category and hope for the best!
Feel free to report any bugs you find.
After some release-break, here's yet another one. This has been an amazing month with a-lot of effort going towards development. Started as a simple newsapi client, I've got a few requests for which, I was sure it will take a while to implement them all. Since today, Latest News includes:
- a superb wizard just to remind you its beginner friendly,
- revamped source adding, which doesn't relly on newsapi anymore but uses own methods to fetch xml feeds and parse the data,
- super awesome grabber(tm), which downloads and parses the whole article from the websites, removes everything except the text story and images.
- an awesome back-end synchronization, which makes sure, your sources are always safe,
- and increadible new and redesigned menu (yea, this deserves a place on the list too!) and extra animations
It has been an awesome month.
Now, its up to people to start using it
Another update has been pushed to beta channel:
- added feeds Gruenderszene, NBA, JS weekly, Android Police, XDA-developers, Mac Rumors
- update sync so it will now handle a conflict between different remote/local entries; you will now have options to overwrite local, db or merge both,
- added read flag to article after it has been read.
- fixed the issue with images not being overwritten after refreshing the articles
- fixed the width of items which text isn't long,
- synchronizing favorites should now also work better
Enjoy!
Hi everyone! I'm happy to announce the first PRODUCTION release being rolled out.
Enjoy and don't forget to submit any bugs you find or feeds suggestions you would like to see in the app.

Wow the app is really cool. I will give it a try for a few days and see what It can do.
Just a question: can you add a way to login using Google account? There's a lot of passwords to remember and using Google is much better, with synchronization is superb.
PS: If you need someone to help you translating to portuguese let me know.
Finally an app that allows me read short rss feeds in full. Loves it. Please any plans for an import feature so I can import my feedly subscriptions? Thanks
plans to add to XDA labs or f droid?

good evening @sourbear and thank you for your report. Just for test, please try adding "neowin". There are A LOT of sources, that just don't add image as leading article image (default rss image for specific article). However, it just happened none of your picked up source articles currently dont include any images.
MTV, at that time, had images, I've tested it again and what you found is correct. (Shame on them! ). Give them all a day or two.... you will start seeing them eventually. :good:
math in blogs
This is a great news for me, as I have been using feedMe for some time, but it cannot display mathjax properly.
So, two questions, do you plan to add mathjax/mathml support, and offline support as well?? Right now I tried https://terrytao.wordpress.com/feed/ and the math is not shown properly. Some formulas appear too big, some don't appear at all. Thank you for your work @greglord

Hi there
I will take a look immediatelly what's going on with those formulas!
Update @gilcu3
Just checked the source of the article and... oh my So far, I've made the formulas visible, however, since there is so much mixing between paragraphs and images (formulas), the "grabber" does not add texts to the full story. I humby ask for re-test after new update. If the content isn't something that suits you, I will invest more time and refactor the grabber to be more smart.

Hi there. I know it has been a lot. I am working on Bienks to fix it but there is a thing. I had found 15 third party server for an alternative to original ones. When Instagram changed the api, most of them stopped working. I decided to wait a little to see which ones will down. Currently I have 2 servers left. One is not stable, the other one is slow. So I gave up about third party providers. There are lots of developers working on original api trying to get data. I hope that soon we will find a way. Until that time you can check out this:

* This is the second version of Bienks. It had a third party server that time so this version is still working. It is a little bit slow and has low resolution feed page but downloads are in hd reso.
Feed and profile preview pages are up again. Working on all posts. Hope, it will be available soon.

I know you put a lot of work into this. Don't give up.
I like this app I downloaded the box.com version posted previously and get an app update icon but it can't download any updates so i feel like I'm missing out on something. I'd like to see Pinterest supported even if its basic ability to browse and download images.
Cannot find the app?
Please update
Any news? Would be bad if this app went dead. It has great potential.

Thanks for your nice words. The thing is I tried all the methods that I know but no luck. Feed, populars, previews, search are working right now. Couldnt fix the profile page. Which is the most important one. I searched on the web. Most of the apis, viewers are down. It is strange that no one fixed the problem yet. So there is no good news about original server. About unofficial ones, I have one working. But it is not fast as I want. Better than nothing though. I am planning to change the original server to that one. That is all I got for now. Sorry about that I dont have awesome news
I'm still being patient. Good luck ??
