Hi, what kind of websites are available for the moto g unlock codes, also is there any specific reqs for the moto g when unlocking? i saw some websites say like 2014/2015 models, i think the one i have is 2013. Is there any way to check the year model. i used to use unlockcelluar.net but that website seems to be down.
Check your phone's settings for model #.

The Moto G is now able to be reconfigured for Page Plus. Any word if a Boost, Verizon or etc. (CDMA) model can be set to use TracFone. I understand there is a limitation with the serial number. Can this be worked around with a 'donor phone' (an old TracFone)?
Boost Mobile phones can be unlocked. Does this affect use with TraceFone? Does anyone have a Boost Moto G they'd be willing to test input the IMEI in the BYOD system to check it?
Thanks in Advance.

P. S. Please excuse if this was asked earlier, the forum users often abbreviate TF and the search tool will not allow such a short phrase. TracFone has only four results.
i am going to buy moto g but there is some variant whose bootloader is not unlockable so i want to know which variant i shouldnt buy and also does moto g other variant have different model number because what i am going to buy will have xt1032 (16 gb) model number.....

Check this post, it lists the models that can unlock and not unlock.

Also if you can buy a Google Play Edition International version somehow, those are unlockable. Unlocking will void your warranty (if you have one).

thanks but how can i differentiate between moto g global gsm or others ......do they have different model number because the one i saw on shop that moto g says nothing other than moto g.
So I got a used Boost Moto G on Ebay thinking I could still activate it on Selectel/PagePlus. Went through the guide to unlock it, flashed to Verizon stock firmware, then Selectel tells me the ESN of Boost phones is no longer being allowed by Verizon to be used by the MVNO's. Is there a way for me to use a donor phone (old Droid X I currently have on Selectel) and put its ESN etc on the Moto G? If so, what is the process? If this is too much hassle or not possible, I will have to resell the phone and find a Verizon Moto G that has been used for over 6 months (that still will work for Selectel, yes?)

Correct.

Hi there, I'm an android XDA veteran but have never had a Motorola device.
Can new (as of April 2015) Moto G phones from Boost or Verizon be fully unlocked at the bootloader level? I've scanned the FAQs and recent posts on old unlock bootloader threads and it's not clear if these carriers have locked things down tightly or not.
I'm looking to get a WiFi-only smartphone for a friend who's low on funds and setup it up with CM12 and VOIP calling using Hangouts/Google Voice/Skype, etc. After scrounging around on swappa for something suitable I noticed these new prepaid Moto G devices selling for $49 (verizon) or $44 (boost). Sounds like the way to go if I can get one to be fully-flashable...
Thanks!

Bought my MOTO G boost version about 2 months ago. Works perfectly. Bootloader unlock is pretty easy too.
Hope I helped!
I've called Verizon, I've called Motorola and its a game of pointing fingers.
I understand it voids the warranty. Under H.R. 1123 I am able to do with my phone as I please.
Who do I call to the highest level. I'm sick of being treated like Motorola or Verizon own the phone. I paid outright and the phone is mine. Now where is my unlocked boot loader so we can develop for this phone?
Is that hard to find?

Verizon Moto G is not supported by the moto website.
I already have a Moto X Pure Edition, and understand the process.
Fact is, I own the Moto G outright and would like to unlock my bootloader regardless of the voided warranty or the "comparability" issues since all of the Moto G's have different hardware, but Motorola is still not providing me with the generated code. I've called and emailed and they still tell me that they cannot provide me with it.
