[Completed] Looking for someone to remotely consult on voice path elements of windows phone - XDA Assist

We are a small UK company trying to develop an app for Windowsphone to allow integration with IPPBX's. WE are having problems navigating some of the voice path elements and trying to find an experienced developer who we could discuss these matters with from time to time. Happy to reward appropriately.
Is this a suitable forum for such or is there another that you would advise?
Thank You

New app dev server host question

I'm new and want to develop a new app.
My Q is:
I want to connect 3 or more devices to one pc. Via bluetooth or IP (Wifi) or activesync.
The app that I have to run on the PC (Host and settings) can be build from the ppc development tool (for example basic4ppc or the MS dev kit) or I need to use a different language - development tool for PC only?
I know it's totally noob q but I'm a newbie...
thanx for your time in advance...
Ok I started with Visual Studio 2008 and C#.
Here in the wiki is said to use C++. In that case I have to build the app then send it to the ppc or the emulator and test it?
Now another Q concerning locking and having to register the app... are there any standards?
Are there any buttons tricks etc to spice the forms?
Since as I see there is no answer can you please point me at some programmers forum for WM???

[Q] developing an Android wp7 app combo

Ok, so I recently got a brand new asus transformer honeycomb tablet and I have a Samsung focus. I am a developer (for practicing and developing little on-the-side projects) for wp7 and I have the app development software for Android ( I am going to develop apps for Android also) and I was wondering if the current wp7 would be able to support remote control of an Android device (the reverse is seemingly impossible) similar to a remote desktop solution. I can develop a server app for Android once I familiarize myself with the language but my problem is whether the client is possible to build on the wp7 side. Or should I wait for mango? Thanks and if this needs to be moved to development, then please move it.

Oh, and the expensive xda app for windows phone 7 is broken because once u reach a certain # of lines, a black bar covers up what you are typing so u can't really know what u posted

Well it's not easy unless you have experience of C#/VB.NET and the .NET Framework to be honest.
I can see what you're trying to do but there isn't a simple way of going about it (yet).
I would recommend downloading the Microsoft Visual Studio Express tools (http://www.microsoft.com/express).
Then you will need the software development kit (SDK):
http://create.msdn.com/en-gb?WT.mc-id=src-c-gb-Non-wp7-F1-
Download the free tools which includes projects that let you build Windows Phone 7 apps and run them on a WP7 emulator on your PC (not sure if this SDK works with the Express version of Visual Studio as I have Visual Studio 2010 Premium).
Finally check out some forums, search on google for some tutorials...You will want to learn about Silverlight and WPF for sure if you want to build anything productive on WP7 OS.
Good luck.
Visual studio and SDK tools already have. I watched many videos and read many tutorials, but something, like curl function not found it. Or I find with bad question. Or source code with this function maybe help me. Anyway, thanks for respond. I appreciate it.

[Q] development of android apps 100% on android tablet

Hello! I am new to this forum so i could have posted this into wrong section.
I want to start learning how to develop apps for android, but the thing is, i am not able to do it on PC.
Could someone tell me what android applications i need to get, to fully develop an application, which is made in the same quality as it would be made on PC. ( everything, not just programming). At the moment i got only AIDE ( Android IDE ), but i dont think that AIDE is enough to fully develop an application. If its not possible to do 100% of work on android tablet, please tell me. Thank you for your answers!

Personal advice
Hi, I do have first hand experiene with Android IDE and it's OK if your not able to use your development PC and your really inspired to write some code but you most def will need an external keyboard/mouse if your going to write something bigger than a 'hello world' program. Don't get me wrong, AIDE will get the job done but it will take you much longer, i.e. a single small screen with limited ram/processor does not help.
I don't know your situation for not being able to do it on a PC but if you are serious about becomming a developer then an investment in a desktop/laptop should be at the top of your list, but if you want to test the waters first and all you have access to is a tablet with AIDE then I say go for it, I just hope that the limited enviroment does not discourage you, programming is fun and rewarding if you have the right tools.
Do you have any experience programming?
If not I would recommend you follow the Newboston series of videos for beginning programming with Java first before jumping into Android development, I say development because writing apps for Android consists mostly with writting Java that uses the provided Android API's.
Newboston beginning programming with Java video series (He uses Eclipse here but you can ignore that and just type the same code)
http://thenewboston.org/list.php?cat=31
Newboston application Android development (If you try to complete this without any Java knowledge you will cripple you chances of success)
http://thenewboston.org/list.php?cat=6
Excellent resources provided here at XDA for Android development
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/want-to-learn-how-to-program-for-android-start-here/
p.s. You would be suprised at how cheap you can find a used PC on craigslist, you don't need a gaming monster but get something that is multi-core with at least 4gigs of RAM.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
I don't know much about WP, but it seems to me if you have access to a VNC server app you can put on your phone, you just need a VNC client on the PC. Depending on the remote control settings, you can allow the PC to make clicks on the phone. But I've only done this with Android.
Could I can the make and model of the phone you are trying to cast? Thanks.
Hi,
it's microsoft lumia 1320. windows 8.1 device.

Aha. So there is no device-related forum I can piggy-back this onto unfortunately.
I tried to find a VNC server app for WP8.1, and came up short handed due to the Windows App Store website not having a search button that doesn't search all of Microsoft.
At any rate, a post in this forum (for options) is well worth it:

Hope this helps, and good luck!
