Doesn't seem to work with a custom recovery [emoji53]. If anyone can successfully pull the image and share it would be greatly appreciated!

I Also have been searching, as our Canadian version has a screwed up rom... Wifi not working properly, freezes after a few days,. wakelocks and sleep issues.. Ive gone thru 2 phones sofar and still problems..
Its definitely the Rogers rom,... What Rom version are you on?? The 1st and now 2nd has n915w8vlu1a0a7, was there a higher update?

Are all the Canadian n915w8's on Lollipop 5.0.1?

Look in tho these sites, as per the Tech Specs, the N915T and N915F are identical to our N915W8. Both stock version are available at Sammobile (915f and 915t )
http://www.mobosdata.com/samsung-gal...-edge-sm-n915f
http://www.mobosdata.com/samsung-gal...-edge-sm-n915t
http://www.mobosdata.com/samsung-gal...edge-sm-n915w8

I have the n915t (because I was not sure if Canada was actually going to get it) that runs perfectly on ROGERS LTE, Fido LTE, Bell (Telus) LTE,WIND (no LTE since they do not have it in Calgary), and T-mobile (since it's a T-mobile phone) (these are the SIMS it has successfully used).
I was trying to find out if it was similar to n915g and n915s (so at least you state (based on that mobosdata) that the n915t it is equivalent to the n915f and n915w8 in terms of hardware (does that also include the modem / radio?). I ask since I wanted to put the 915g Lollipop on it (I would have to change the sales code from TMB to XSA I think).
I tried your mobosdata links but they all come back 404 error.

Flashing international ROMS

Since the galaxy s6 edge has the exynos 7420 cpu does that mean international roms will work on US carriers? just have to change the APNs?

I have been wondering the same thing. Have you gotten any further with this?
I'm in South America and would like to flash an INT ROM hoping to get LTE working here. LTE Band where I am right now is 1900 mhz. Would flashing an INT ROM "unlock" the phone for that? Are there other "consequences" that one should be aware of when flashing an official International ROM? Any comment on this is appreciated :good:

no i haven't found any information on it sadly :/
Im searching information about too. I tried install some 925F roms then flash 925p kernels but no luck. GPS not working, data/voice not working, even no mobile operator setting in setup.
You would need more than just download and flash!!! You need to port libs, xmls, framework, apps etc to make it compatible with Sprint
Anyway of getting a sprint compatability zip?

Thanks for the info. In my case I don't need to make it compatible with Sprint since I'm in South America. Any suggestions on how to flash an official International G925 Rom?
I think that will happens only when somebody write unified kernel for F/I/*/*/*/and P version of this phone. I researched this and found that noone from kernel makers want not do this. In nearby thread one programmer offer to try modified bootloader for 925p (to be able rollback to 5.0.2). He can't even find testers(. No one want brick their phones.

S6 G920F roms on S6 G920P?
Dear users
I would like to have S6 International roms on my S6 Sprint but I can't,
is there a compatibility for sprint file to fix the other touch screen and other processor (exynos and snapdragon)?
Please, can anyone reply if you know it?
PS: Sorry for my English, it's not good.

International S7, T-Mobile's wifi calling and VOLTE, and custom ROMs

I'm about to pull the trigger on buying the S7 and (thanks to this forum) have researched the (T-mobile) "carrier" version with SnapDragon processor vs. the International non-carrier version with Exynos processor. Seems like the latter is generally preferred, with 2 drawbacks:
1) Not compatible with T-Mobile's wifi calling;
2) No VOLTE
My only remaining questions are:
1) It seems as though with most unlocked / non-carrier smartphone models, custom ROMs are usually made available that enable carrier-specific features, but it seems like no such ROMs have yet been developed and widely circulated to enable T-Mobile's wifi calling or VOLTE. Is it typically just a matter of WHEN, rather than IF, such ROMs usually get into circulation? IOW, even though I'll be without those features on the Exynos S7 for now, can I buy the phone with confidence that in the not too distant future there SHOULD be a ROM to enable these? (Wifi calling is actually rather important to me since my gf's apt is a dead zone.)
2) Can someone ELI5 VOLTE to me? I'm still note entirely sure what it is / does, and want to evaluate how much I should care if my Exynos S7 doesn't support this...
Exynos does support volte. I am using it and it works fine.

Would you mind explaining how you got it working? Did you have to do anything other than change your CSC? I changed my CSC to T-Mobile US and I now have the option to enable wifi calling, however when I turn it on it just hangs there saying 'Enabling'.

Yep that's what I used. I did a clean install of the SuperMan rom and used CSC changer again...same issue, it hangs at Enabling. Even went back to stock rom and it does the same thing.
Finally, I installed the Note 7 OnTheEdge rom like you said and it appears to be working, I now see the wifi calling notification at the top left and I get the volte icon when i'm not connected to wifi. I wonder if anyone has been able to get it to work on other roms?

I've only tried it on n7rom mentioned above. Guess it has to do with the rom since not working in Superman rom.

Getting a T-Mobile S7 & flashing or converting to US/stock firmware (SM-G930U)?

I'm thinking of getting an Galaxy S7 (T-Mobile version, SM-G930T) for my wife to replace her Nexus 4 which is on T-Mobile prepaid but my concern is "carrier bloat" that T-Mobile installed on the phone.
1. Is it possible to convert this phone to the regular US/stock version of the S7 which i believe is SM-G930UZKAXAA, I believe? I did some Googling and I see some discussions about "Odin" which I assume is the software to flash/convert the SM-G930T to the SM-G930U version?
2. Will Samsung Pay still work after converting it from the T-Mobile version to the US/stock version?
3. Any issues/disadvantages/problems to be aware of between the T-Mobile specific and non T-Mobile firmware to consider, in consideration of whether or not to convert?
Thanks, David
G930U and G935U firmware is maded for any US version that IS ALREADY UNLOCKED and want to convert it so you can remove all bloat preinstalled apps from the carrier and use the phone like it was G935F or G930F..
1- you can flash the U firmware on any US varaint Sprint, T-Mobile, ATT, but will REQUIRED a unlocked cell, and the bootloader had to be low or same as the U you want to flash.
2- will work, i already test it.
3- none, the U firmware is official from samsung and is created for that.. to be flashable on S7 unlocked for take it for overseas.
PS: its the same as g930F so mobile data icon will be enable, wifi call will not be there... and you can use bluetooh sharing.. etc.. but t-mobile features will be removed, if you have more experience you can enable them back.

I use a stock US galaxy s7 from T-Mobile, SM-G930T. From what I can tell it shouldn't cause any problems as it's not a custom Rom but stock firmware you can download directly from Samsung website.
I did some searching and found a few posts about sm-g930u extending battery life over sm-g930t with tmobile bloatware (can't say for certain as I've not tried myself).
In all it shouldn't harm functionally since it's stock firmware.
Hope this helps.

I extensively tested the U firmware before moving to T firmware (because I moved to the T-M side of Tracfone; the phone itself is ex-VZW); I have had exactly zero issues (with either U firmware or T firmware).
A tidbit; as a SM-G930T, you have access to both VoLTE *and* wi-fi calling - this was not the case for even VZW-native customers, let alone MVNO customers. (This has, in fact, been covered in the Verizon Wireless thread for the same phone.) It does not matter if you are merely using an MVNO (such as Tracfone). NO free Netflix, though. (Mice.)

Use Firmware Of A Different Model

Hi,
I have a S8+ with the model SM-G955FD and was wondering if I am able to download the firmware for the model SM-G955F?
The phone was purchased outside of Australia and doesn't use the Australian (Telstra) firmware that I would like it to. I just figured they are the same phone just different model numbers so there shouldn't be any issues right? I might just lose a couple features or something but the phone should work correctly?
Thanks in advance.
Yea, the G955FD is the dual SIM Exynos variant, right?
I'm sure the dual SIM uses the same firmware as the single SIM, so you should have no worries flashing Aussie firmware.
But I would suggest you flash the XSA (Aussie unbranded) firmware, not Telstra firmware. You'll lose nothing, but you'll get faster updates.

1 - Exact Same hardware . you can use snapdaragon ROMs on Snapdragon Devices and vice versa for Exynos .
2 - Same network Bands supported . The ROM contains the programs on how to operate in different frequencey bands .

Does the method works with G955J SCV35 model? I'm running NTDocomo firmware on KDDI model to unlock network (single SIM) . I wan't to flash unlocked U firmware but getting scared that the phone will be bricked.

Reflash AT&T 20 Ultra to Unlocked Firmware?

I've looked through threads of people doing the reverse of this. It's been a few years since I've had an android and was running nexus devices then. What's the process to flash an unlocked firmware on an AT&T locked 968U to the 968U1 firmware (assuming there aren't issues doing it)?
Are there any other pitfalls I need to be aware of prior to doing it other than the wifi calling?
If this is already posted somewhere else, please feel free to point me there. I didn't see any info about going from a carrier locked 968U to unlocked firmware.
Thanks in advance.

I just did this today went from TMB locked one to unlocked (For a family member) mine is unlocked. All went well no problems at all. Just download the U1 Firmware you want to flash and for CSC use home_csc (In ODin) so you can keep your data and probably the wifi calling feature too ( i did that all features are intact). Use the Odin and firmware from Ota and non Ota thread . Enjoy

If your on FirstNet I recommend that you stay on ATT branded software, I'm not sure if band 14 will work properly for you if you are on unlocked software. Thank you for your service!

The thread is for T-Mobile, but most of it works with AT&T devices as well.

I flashed the U1 firmware (ATJ3) onto my AT&T Note Ultra, then flashed the Home CSC from the AT&T U firmware. I have VoLTE and WiFi calling.
Help!
Hello all, I have a Note 20 Ultra 5g that is unlocked and I'm looking to flash the original ATT firmware for this device.
Having this unlocked version on Firstnet has been nothing but problems and I don't have access to band 14 or wifi calling.
I see this thread is a little old but if anyone could help me out or send me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!
I have rooted some of my older phones several several years ago so I think I could pick this back up pretty quickly. I know over the years things seem to get easier and have probably changed quite a bit since I've last done something like this.
Thanks in advance!

My comment was made before we were able to change IMS settings directly.
You can get it all now. VoLTE, WiFI Calling, RCS, Video calling...

AT&T hasn't released any "official" firmware for the Note 20 series.
Since Samsung firmware is multi CSC, just flash any firmware with the same build number as the AT&T variant and use your AT&T SIM card.
Go to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/ota-and-non-ota-firmware-for-n986u-and-n986u1.4143833/
Make sure you know what device you have, U or U1. Then grab the appropriate version.
Fir AT&T U devices, N986USQU2DUCA or N986USQU2DUCA will work.
For AT&T U1 devices, N986U1UEU2DUCB is the most recent version.

Enjoy
