Hi guys! I wanted the call recording from 4.4.2 with Xposed, but since for now Xposed isn't compatible with our stock lollipop rom, I found a mod for S5 that it is compatible.
First, I recommend you to make a full backup, for emergency.
You have to make a copy of Others.xml and rename the copy to Others.xml.old for a backup. You found the file in "System/Csc/Others.xml".
Now, open Others.xml with a text editor and insert this string under "<FeatureSet>":
Code:
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
This is an example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then, change permissions to RW-RR.
Ok, save it and reboot.
After a call, you found the file in directory "Call".
I tried it with last lollipop poland firmware B6.
I am not responsible for damages that you will eventually get your device
Thank you, nino64 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/themes-apps/mod-enable-call-recording-s5-lollipop-t2968470 for the mod!
Sorry for my english, guys!

For remove the mod, you have to remove the line we added. O else, you can replace the file modded with your backup.
For the sound, if you want replace the current tap tap sound in the dialer, you can replace Dialer_new.ogg in System/Media/audio/ui with your file. Make sure that it has same name of original and same permissions.

Mmm... Try this apk. This is for B6 poland. Make a backup first of SecContacts_Phone_OSup.apk under System/priv-app/SecContacts_Phone_OSup/SecContacts_Phone_OSup.apk.
Then, replace it with the file in attached and reboot.
I had only replace the touch_ripple.ogg under \res\raw\ with 7zip, because for now I can't decompile/recompile it(There is a problem with apk tool and lollipop, and I don't know why).
Works

I have already gave credit before, just removed by accident. Also, I've asked indie's permission on this matter. My apologies for removing it by accident. FYI, I had credited the proper person/entity to which the credit should have been.
Perhaps a silly question but does this sit on top of the normal power menu (Phone Options) with "Power Off, Data network mode, Flight mode, Restart, Mute, Vibrate, Sound" options, does it add an option or does it replace the original menu? Would it be possible to post some screen shots of exactly how it integrates please?

@Kazuni, Thanks for porting this over.
One thought; would it not be best to have it named "Restart Options" as it sits beneath the Restart Menu option? Just a thought to keep things consistent.
Hello,
I followed this tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1689376 - thanks to Mirko ddd) and I was able to get the original Lockscreen in place of the ugly Touchwizz.
You can enable in Lockscreen options.
But you'll need a deodex rom, check frapeti's thread for the flash: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095301
Reboot back to Android after deodexing your system, just then apply this patch.
For the laziness sake I'm uploading the modified two files (LQ4) here.
android.policy.jar goes to /system/framework (chmod rw-r-r or 644)
SecSettings.apk goes to /system/app (chmod rw-r-r or 644)
For super laziness²²² now you can flash it in CWM.
PLEASE: Pay attention, to apply this mod you have to alter system files, failing to set right permissions or using this in another rom other than LQ4 will result in bootloop.
Remember of always backing up!

Well, completely noobishly, I went ahead and directly replaced the files using RootExplorer. Now my settings's gone. Can someone please upload the original file SystemSec please? I'm on LPY but I suppose any file from any ROM will be of some help.

Easy fix: just use the Root Explorer, hold touch on SecSettings and select Properties, then apply rw-r-r, reboot and voi lá
PS: Just remember of do the same thing with android.policy.jar before
if you can't make it work just tell me and I upload the original apk
PS2: You replaced SecSettings.apk or a diffrent apk?

Sorry, could you explain this a bit more extensively because I'm really a big noob? Which SecSettings - SecSettings.apk or SecSettings.odex? It actually doesn't matter because both their properties have no buttons. How am I supposed to apply that rw-r-r? When I think about it now I think it would be better if you upload the original files and at the same time, if possible of course, tell me how to do the trick properly.
PS. Now I see that I have replaced the .apk. I hope that's of some help.

Yes, but you'll have to put it in recovery and use ADB to fix it, and the original files you replaced from LPY.
If you are not comfortable using adb I'd say you should go ahead and flash, you can backup after flashing Odin I guess.

I'm definitely not yet entirely comfortable with using adb and that's why I'm just now downloading LQ4 and I intend to flash it and then do what you showed on the screenshots. Will there be any problem then? Anyway, thanks for your extremely helpful input, I really appreciate it.
@shut_down, how can I possibly remove it now when I don't have any access to Android itself. I think a simple flash would be an easier yet more time-consuming solution.

Odex Rom
You also may try on your rom and update here whether this mod is working on your rom. Make sure to delete related odex file.
Backup your Secsetting.apk and secsetting.odex fbefore you do so.
As per 01 user this is working OdexRom as well
Please note Ink effect option is also available but it won't work.

no offense, but just taking SecSettings.apk from XXLSC is what everyone could have done, right? I know, it is working, but it is from other base...
tbh, I also completely failed in making this mod for XXLSZ...something seriously changed from the way this mod was done before on the leaks...

no offense, but just taking SecSettings.apk from XXLSC is what everyone could have done, right? I know, it is working, but it is from other base...
tbh, I also completely failed in making this mod for XXLSZ...something seriously changed from the way this mod was done before on the leaks...

I idiot thought he really changed LSZ secsettings and just used it as a mod. Never thought of someone would claim a Mod by copying an old Settings apk. Grrrh...
I will switch to making the mods by myself to be sure - and if I really need the mod.
I've been working on this since yesterday.
I have a working rom with lockscreen shortcuts working now. The stock rom didn't have lockscreen shortcuts for me sadly. I'm pretty sure I have it figured out. I should be able to shed some light on these features and how to get them working later... just need to do a little more testing.

ThaiDai,
Actually this is not my mod. even i don't know how to create mods since i'm not expert. This is the SecSetting.apk copied from LSC rom. I cheched each and every options against LSC setting with LSZ & LM5. there are no changes. Eventually i thought that we can use this Secsetting to enable Lockscreen short and smart rotation, until a developer prepare base form LSZ. or we have really consider modding an Secsetting in future if Sammy added any new options into setting
Thanks

Nothing of this is stated in your OP. So a reader gets the impression that you modded it for XXLSZ yourself.
So please correct this in OP - or delete it completely because there is no own work here.
This works fine after deleting the help file and its odex also...
Question- what is changed from this and the official version? (If known by anyone)

Are you able to push the .apk? I've deleted .odex, but now it fails while copying the file from OP. Currently i don't have the settings menu at all.
For me it copies around 10mb and after that it either fails or the file stays as incomplete ...
I freed some space.

Lol.
1. download aroma file manager on your pc (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108)
2. reboot to recovery mode
3. mount usb
4. copy over the SecSettings.apk and aromafm.zip to your SD card
5. use aroma file manager to move your apk to the right location
6. reboot

I think that I can help you
For the volume and the brightness button, I'll do it for you.
And about how to make a theme, from 0, please read my guide about that.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/guide-how-to-theme-android-app-t3777101/page4
It's not with substratum because non root users can't use it.
Therefore I need your SystemUI.apk file as well as your framework-res.apk file.
Can you share them please?

I have a few questions before doing that:
1)Are you rooted ?
2)Do you have a custom recovery ?
3) Do you know how to make a backup of your phone ?
I'll keep talking through this thread , so if there is someone with the same question, he'll get the answer without asking ?

Great, to proceed, please give me you framework-res.apk file and your SystemUI.apk file.
You have to install a root file explorer (I would advice MiXplorer that you can get on XDA Labs or APKMirror )
With the root file explorer, go to the root folder and browse to :
/system/priv-app/SystemUI and copy/paste every file in this folder to your documents folder
Then browse to /system/framework and copy/paste the framework-res.apk file to your documents folder.
Share those files with Dropbox or something other services

For sure I'll tell you the way, but if you're just a beginner, you'll be lost between the tone of files inside the SystemUI.
I need those files in order to point you the good line to modify (I'm making a tutorial on how to do it, I'll release it soon).
This research job is hard and you need to understand the xml code to be able to search for the files.
Here are my plans to make you improve and get some experience with what we call theming:
First I'll indicate you what to modify in the APK file, and I'll teach you how to use a tool called apktool (I assume you don't know what it is).
Then I'll point you some more advanced guides I made and that others users made that will allows you to face any modifications you want to do to your UI
Finally I'll release the guide on how to search for lines to modify and you'll be able to do pretty much everything you want (you'll always find something a bit difficult but that's how to improve.

Hi there, I'm sorry to tell you that but we can't actually theme huawei stock rom.
When I wanted to decompile your systemUI.apk file, apktool (the tool to use when you want to decompile an apk) gave me an error. I looked into it and it turn out that it was a known problem coming from huawei itself.
Here the explanation from the owner of apktool:
https://github.com/iBotPeaches/Apktool/issues/1445
I still wanted to find a way but I found this thread, that confirms that we can't actually edit xml file from the huawei stock rom. But it gives you a tons of alternative, I think you'll learn more there :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/how-to-edit-huaweis-apks-t3627071
Sorry for that again, have a good day
