[Q] Sony Xperia J ST26i Root

I currently have android 4.1.2(jelly bean) on my sony xperia j st26i. I want to root the phone and install cyanogenmod 10. But different sources in internet say that sony xperia j officially does not support cyanogenmod 10. Does this mean it will brick the phone if i try to flash the stock ROM with cyanogenmod 10? Also I want to know whether i will get improved perfomance if cyanogenmod 10 is installed. Any help is appreciated.

CM are good . but if you want to stay with stock rom , go on .

[Q] Need some help before flashing Carbon rom

I'm a total noob here so pls give me a very detailed info (such as file links and how to use it) if u wanna reply
OK so after fixing my XL from bootloop and unlocking the bootloader, I decided to flash the carbon rom for XL (search it)
But before I proceed, I need to ask if my XL meets the requirements for flashing that rom cos im afraid of hard bricking my XL
Device model: C2105
Bootloader unlocked : Yes
Rooted : Yes
Rom: (stock) pt teletama artha mandiri rom uploaded by karkand (search it)
Android version: 4.1.2
Build number: 15.0.A.2.17
Kernel: Vengeance v2.3 (it also installs CWM, for version see below)
CWM version 6.0.3.5
USB debugging and Unknown sources: On

You won't brick your phone if you follow the steps properly.
XL has sufficient resources to run Carbon ROM so don't worry.

kingroot you can try, do not know why other methods in the latest versions fw for z3 are difficult or almost impossible to be rooted. If you can not use flashtool go to a previus version board kit kat run the root install the recovery and you put the last fw prerooted

Anw I checked on XperiFirm and XperiCheck, sadly the ftf is not available anymore as it is too old.
Consider updating.
