If not, anyone's doing this now?
Thx!

I tried to do as it was registered in this cluster with the effect of locking the screen of the Galaxy 5.
I went to the sq lite editor and then storing settings and then when I tried to enter to setting.db showed me an error
"an error occurred while opening the database. (code14):, while compiling: select * from sqlite_master where type in (table, view) order by name"
(Via this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2679753)
What should I do?
Thank responders.
Hi bro it's a kernel related error
you need to be on a SE LINUX PERMISSIVE kernel , the stock S4 kernel is no permissive it's enforced , you have to choose and install another kernel tell me in which device you are and i'll make you a stock kernel but with the permissive selinux status

Are you on stock or custom ROM? If you happens to be on custom ROM you may have Linux permissive kernel installed.
I think you're already rooted as well

As you've already heard you need to install kernel. If you get no idea I think some members can redirect you to a thread for more information

It has to be your choice and your device model but as always do a nandroid backup before proceeding.
Check here STOCK KERNEL FOR GT-I9505 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502714 for stock ROM and more info if you want to proceed
You've rooted your device and void your warranty but kernels does not damage your warranty

Is there anyway to get a permissive kernel on beta firmware 6.0.1?
Thanks

At the moment no, cause kernel sources are not released yet.

Heyo,
Anyone had luck fixing private mode not working with root?
The old xsecurestorage module doesn't seem to do the trick anymore.
Any ideas welcome!

It works on my rooted s7 but you can try out an xposed module called "xtouchwiz". In that module's security hacks you can fake the system status to official and see if it helps or not.

I'll give it a crack. Thanks.
Are you using xsecure or just working rooted without any fixes?

I'm on a custom rom with xposed, but didn't have any problems in root either. But if the module doesn't work, you can try to flash a custom rom and see if it then works.
i think that it is a bug
On S5 secure storage work with Root and Xposed without any Xposed Module. You only must do a factory Reset. Or deleze some files in Data Partition.

Did you solve this? I think it has something to do with xposed. Private mode has been working with root for me but since I installed xposed, I have problems. What did you find out?

It includes decompiling apks, so best way is to use a custom kernel which already supports this from beginning

Since android is linux based, is there no way to gain access to terminal and lsmod or similar command? If possible without rooting.
Hi !
You need root in order to use terminal emulator
Also you can see the modules in root/sys/module but it also needs root

You can't change SELinux to permissive or disabled on Samsung device with stock kernel, even if your device rooted.
