I have a sprint s5 rooted and flashed to 5.0 MOAR rom.
Im trying to use my straight talk service from my note 2.
Installed the SIM and it says "invalid SIM card"
Copied my APN settings over but the APN file disappears every time I save it.
Any ideas?

note 2s were mostly factory unlocked. what carrier are you trying to use with straight talk? (AT&T, T-Mob or VZW? i excluded sprint because if it was sprint via straight talk, it would have worked without issue)
This is happening to a s5 that I recently bought. Has there been a fix for such?
reflash the rom in TWRP. do it as a dirty flash. I had the same issue with MOAR a few times, a dirty flash fixed it

Hey! Running Darkyrom v10.4 and flashed a different modem. 1st one worked but was slow, 2nd one did not work and now I have no service. I went into mobile networks and can't do anything, message saying insert sim card. Is my sim bad from flashing or is there another way to change the apn settings? Thanks, kurt
does it show anything under baseband
So I recently purchased a Samsung S3 i535 from someone and found out that it was flashed to cricket. When i tried top activate it, the phone initiates a call to cricket and informs me to contact cricket. I have a new sim from Verizon.
I used odin to flash verizon stock rom for i535 and then tried to reactivate it ... no luck. I am still a noob at flashing and everything so if there is anyone that can help ....
Hi all,
Just got myself a HTC One a9 from htc.com. Although I got it for a good deal of $200, it only came as a Sprint model. I am using T-Mobile. Reading some posts here and there on XDA, I did myself the following:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Rooted phone, sim unlock'd using NV-reader-writer
3. S-off'd using Sunshine
4. Changed CID to MID to that of US Unlocked/Dev
5. Flashed to either the latest 6.0.1 or 7.0 Unlocked RUU
6. Flashed Sprint's radio.img from its firmware package
7. Added T-Mobile's APN settings
And although I am getting 4G LTE and text works, calling doesn't work. Trying to call doesn't make a dial tone, and when people call me it just goes straight to Voicemail.
On 6.0.1, if I go to Settings and try to disable VoLTE, it will freeze up my call settings page. It will then say "com.android.phone is not responding", and I have no way to do anything until I pull the sim card from my phone. I have another friend with the same setup and it's also not working for her.
Anyone with T-mobile service + Sprint phone getting any luck with this?
Ho everyone! I own a stylo 3 Plus on metro and is 100% unlocked. On the stock ROM the new Verizon sim card is detected and gets bars but only for emergency calls only. On lineage it works great with no changes. Put the sim in on lineage and it just works. I've tried changing apn's on the stock ROM with no avial. I don't get an option to change or add apns with the Verizon sim card in. With the original metro I can add or edit apn's. On lineage I can change apn's even on the Verizon sim? Weird. I've tried adding the APN to the apns-conf.XML file still to no avial. And it must work because on lineage data on the Verizon sim works. So
It MUST be something about the lineageos ROM that allows it to work. Does anybody have any ideas ?
Thanks!
I have a Samsung S7 G930VL. This is the Straight Talk Verizon variant. It is now unlocked but there are still no hotspot options in the settings, even when using an actual Verizon sim card. Is it possible to flash the stock G930V firmware to the device? Anyone know of another way to open up the hotspot settings? I'm assuming they were removed for Straight Talk...
