My phone is Sony Xperia M2 (Single Sim) D303
I'm on android 4.4.2 and booted Doomlord kernel which was for android 4.3 So my phone got stuck in a loop. After factory reset(hoping it would work ) i can't enter fastboot mode. hoping for advice on how to enter fastboot mode and on someone with Sony Xperia M2 kernel so i can restore boot the stock kernel. Or on some other advice to help me get my phone working again. Right now im getting "device unauthorized" and can't even enter adb commands.
Flash tool doesn't recognise phone. It'd be helpful if someone even knows how to shut down the phone.
I got CWM recovery. So no longer got CWM but can now get into fastboot. Still no ADB and im stuck on Sony image.
Please help me.Thanks in advance.
Have you tried what I suggested in this thread?

My phone is a black screen right now. Can't shut it down, reboot, use adb commands, fastboot or anything. I'm worried if the power reaches 0% it could not even start up again. I'll try it tough, but really looking for diffrent options right now. I would try and flash it but i need to turn phone on and off for flash. I currently can't even do that. Phone doesn't start in flash mode. Maybe i should give it to someone for repairs but it'd probably cost me well over 200$.
I also need some MTP (i think thats it) drivers... Kinda strange don't know what im doing but sometimes i got the drivers and sometimes i don't
flashtool has all drivers needed from what I know. If you want to access phone data, MTP is the protocol used, and that should work out of the box.
Also, to flash the ftf you can use flashmode, so even if fastboot doesn't work, maybe flashmode will.
How do you know the phone is on btw? The only thing I to fix it is to flash ftf in flashmode, but you could wait if someone else has another idea.

The phone has a red light on and the screen is lighted black. I tried flashmode but i need to turn phone on and off for it to enter flashmode... I can't do that becouse buttons don't work for some reason. And i had all the drivers but since factory reset i lost them all (don't know how it works) well i got em all back without the MTP and can't install it with flashtool tried already. Also can't enter adb commands. It's like the phone is stuck on end of a loop. It's not looping the logo it's just stuck on the black screen after the logo and doesn't budge like an Iron Brick.
Answer
if you have kernel with CWM you can download flashable zip with rom and just copy zip to sdcard a then flash it in CWM.

Maybe you can try this,
1. Turn Power button and Vol Up, until first vibrate, keep hold it, and you will feel three times vibration. Now your device is off.
2. Open Flashtool, enter flash mode (push Vol Down and connect your device), reflash your ftf (if you are using DoomLord kernel that supposed to be 4.4.2 ftf), after flash is done, disconnect the cable and redo #1 (above).
3. Push Vol Up and connect your device to enter fastboot mode.
4. After that, go flash DoomLord Boot Kernel. When finished, disconnect your cable, but do not turn on your device yet.
5. Turn on and repeatedly push Vol Down to enter Recovery, go to install from sd card, and install SuperSU-Update.zip file (you must already have SuperSu-update.cip in your external sd)
6. After install supersu, you should go to advanced and choose power off instead of reboot it.
7. Do #2 again, but this time, when choosing the ftf, keep in mind that only kernel and loader to be flash (untick only for Cache, Data and Kernel). And do flash.
8. Turn on your device, and now your 4.4.2 is rooted.

does this work cause my xperia m2 dual is bricked after the logo it just turns blank
Apologies for dumb questions but I am really newbie with Sony phones (I know my way around HTCs though).
I have the Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633). After some reading, I've managed to unlock bootloader, installed TWRP recovery and rooted the phone.
My wife somehow locked the phone without memorizing password and the brightest idea I've had was to perform factory reset. Accidentally, I have managed to perform a full wipe, wiping everything except mSD card (I have experience with CWM recoveries but not with TWRP). I did not backup software before accidental wipe.
Phone obviously wont boot but I am having hard time to get to recovery as well, phone just hangs with TWRP recovery logo on the screen.
The first step I intend to perform is to try to re-flash recovery again a go from there.
My intention is to restore stock ROM using Flashtool and d6633_23.0.f.1.74_1288-7362_r8b_ru.ftf
I've read how to enter appropriate boot mode, however, I am not sure witch one to choose for Flashtool to work. BTW, is it possible to restore stock software using Sony PC Companion software?
Can anyone point me in a right direction? A simple guide to follow to in order to get out of this tough situation?
Download your desired firmware and install latest flash tool on your computer.
Copy the downloaded firmware on to the flash tool folder which can be found on your C drive.
Hold volume up and power together till your phone vibrates thrice (power shut down)
Now open flash tool, select flash mode and then your firmware. Now press start.. You will see animation there asking you to connect your device.
Hold your phone's "down volume button" and connect it to the computer. Flash tool will recognize the device and starts flashing. Wait for it to finish.
Boot your device and you are good to go!

Success! Thank you for your hand holding.
Order of steps to get the phone to flash mode was slightly different in my case though. When I pressed volume up and power key the device did not react. Repeating the same process with USB cable inserted worked. When pressing volume down the phone was tying to get to recovery but then it hanged there. In the end when Flashtool asked me to connect the phone, I've kept pressing volume down key with phone turned off and inserted USB cable and it got recognized and software got flashed in the end. BTW, Flashtool does't contain drivers for Z3 yet, therefore I've installed drivers for Z1 / Z2 in addition to flashmode and fastboot drivers.
Currently I am updating software trough Sony Update and then I will check if bootloader is still unlocked ant will try to get to recovery. If no luck I will reflash recovery.
Thank you again!
P.S. I've noticed that there are slightly different application included in this ROM. FTF file in these forums is a slightly different version that came with my phone originally. It might be useful to get more versions of FTFs for D6633 model uploaded...
I just deleted my OS system with kingroot !
Can someone help me !
It just keep the loading screen and keeps vibrant when press the power button.
Please help !?
Open your phone from the back. You will see a small hole with reset written near the battery. Insert a pin (pen would do). Your phone will reboot. Now if your OS is gone, then there are 2 Options.
1-If recovery is accessible-If you have CWM (Not stock recovery) Download the stock rom from the xperia c development section. Put it in your sd card and boot into recovery. Wipe it to preflash and flash the zip. You will get a fresh system installed and your device will be fixed. (Dont blame me for any problems, I am not at all responsible. Also note that it will factory reset your phone and all data will be lost).
2-If you have stock recovery/can't access CWM recovery- Download stock firmware. Download WMShua. Ensure that pc companion is installed. Now turn off the device and hold the volume down button. Take a usb and while holding the volume down button connect the usb to your pc (with phone of course). Open wmshua and select the stock firmware. Now it will install drivers for your device (takes some time) and then it will flash the firmware. Your device will be fixed (all data will be lost, Factory state)
3-Flash using pc companion-Pc Companion can also be used to fix the device.
Thanks, I hope this helps.

Hi all, recently i've flashed Nitrogen rom with kernel, but i was flashed the wrong kernel. 2202, mine is 2203. The phone is rebooted but no screen just it's screen on. After reflash the right kernel, 2203, everything got to normal but my bootloader is missing. Can't access to him. I try everything, reboot mode in bootloader, vol - power. The phone boot but by pass the bootloader and goes directly to system. I tried resolving issue with Sony companion but an error when he told me to reboot with vol- power, it's booted directly to system after few second.
Someone can help me ? Please.
Thks
Try with Emma (Sony flashtool) insted of Sony companion or use Flashtool by androxyde (community flashtool) and flash .ftf file.
Thks i'll try it.
Doesnt work. The will boot directly to system.
Help please !
Do you use correct combo? Does volume keys work?
Yes the correct combo vol down and usb. Reboot via system to bootloader the same. The phone stay few second to screen off with Led orange and boot to system. But boot to team recovery works perfect, blue Led and i'm in....
So I wanted to install a custom rom and my steps were:
1. install official twrp app
2. root my phone
3. download the newest twrp for xperia L
4. Flashed the newly downloaded TWRP
Then the phone turned off and almost doesn't respond. The only thing it does is vibrate when i hold down the power button, and flash red and green when i hold down the volume- button while connected via usb to my pc. My question is - why? I thought i did everything correctly. Can anything be done at this point?

This is normal and your way is somehow wrong, because Stock ROM doesn't support newer TWRP's. you shuold use them only if you already have a custom ROM installed. Also make sure you have unlocked your boot-loader (search the forum for more help)
First, check that if your phone can boot to fastboot mode and PC can detect it. (using adb command: adb devices ).
Then, You may use the method 3 of flashing twrp, mentioned HERE. (you should be familiar with adb & fastboot, and have installed the phone drivers to windows)

In any case, to get back to Stock ROM, use This post
