Hey guys, I need your help.
My phone was all ok when I slept last night! (I have Purumod v3) I wake up in the morning and the phone was off. when I switched it on,it started bootlooping!(shows only samsung logo)
I tried reflashing it,but the bootlooping seems to persist EVEN when im trying to use the recovery(after the flash when I need to wipe data).If I go to recovery,just when Im about to reach the "wipe all data",it switches off and reboots. I thought its a hardware problem but there is one thing that goes against it ie., the phone does NOT show this behaviour when its in Download mode. when Im in download mode,it doesnt reboot or switch off or anything.
I tried going back to stock(a froyo rom without bootloader) but problem still remains. Tried flashing many different custom roms,still remains the same.
Any idea? Reinstalled Kies drivers and everything. Please help.
Have you tried flashing another kernel or reflashing your current one?
Since the kernel handles boot and recovery while download mode is on a lower level.

Try to find something called "zero fill tar" I think Hillbeast made? its like a deep cleanser, if it is a firmware issue, this should help. flash it then flash any rom over it.
Try flashing this tar file. It's saved my phone many times and here is the file that ava.tar is talking about. For the second file, you have to extract it and you get a .tar file that you flash through odin. :good:
I tried each of the things in your replies. I tried the 0kb file,did nothing,tried the zero fill followed by flashing Kyrillos Rom (froyo) still the same result(bootloop). Also flashed g3mod 2.4.1! this is just so annoying. Thanks so much for your help. I really hope my I could find a way.
Try flashing a rom with 'force upload mode' [vol up+home and power up]

Try flashing the tar after flashing the rom, ie. flash it last

Some more suggestions, which are not very likely (not in order of probability of success but in order of quickness), but it doesnt hurt to try
1. Try booting/ entering recivery while charging
2. Try removing sd card (and then sim card as well) then booting
3. Try flashing a stock rom (then try doing a factory reset from stock recovery)
4. If you know somebody with the same phone try using their battery and then booting.
(5. When you lose all hope try the russian/old school methdod, ie. beat it into complying to your wishes )
boot loop causes and hw to work around

boot loops are a cause of ur kernal not working properly.....,try downloading a working kernal through odin........even i had boot loop problems with g3mod kernal.......but the ultra oc kernal 1260hr kernal works fine fr me........also try clearing the dalvik cache or cache partition..,..which usually solves stability problems nd its a must after flashing a kernal.......try flashing marcellusbe 7.2 rom.....which is very much stable u can also find a bunch of kêrnals try nt using the g3 mod kernal.... if all these dosent work take ur mob to the service center they wont flash it as u rooted ur mob bt they will suggest u to get new motherboard get it done and then u can start frm the beginning .......

yesterday I put evoking (android 4.2.1) on my phone, and I wanted to change it, so I've installed ROM Manager..
After that, I've rebooted on recovery, but, the phone shows only the lg's icon..
So I tried to unbrick this whit KDZ (using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883314) and, I tried all the possibility, but it still not working. Now, it does not turn on!! Can you help me please?
P.S. Sorry for the english I'm using google translate..
remove battery, plug the phone to computer while pressing vol up and power to see if computer recognize it, if it does, flash again via kdz
after reflash, restart and w8 for the phone to boot, it will take some minutes to boot, just be patient

Hey bud,
its simeple.
even i faced the same issue once. Just reboot the mobile and while booting go to the recovery mode (home+vol up + powerbutton). tere u can reinstall the rom. try ICy/PAC MAN. it works beautifully. remember to keep this rom zip file in SD card while rebooting.

If you removed the battery after unsuccessful kdz flash, then your phone is hard bricked and you need to go to LG

I need your help, I have a galaxy tab P5100 completely original, with stock andorid 4.0.3, yesterday after turning it off, the power back up and goes into bootloop, the screen appears only 2 SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 10.1 and restarts.
goes into download mode but does not go into recovery mode.
if I put it in recovery mode appears a few seconds the green robot and then restarts.
I attach it to the power supply and I do recharge to 100%, but nothing.
I put it in download mode and flash the stock firmware but nothing.
if I put it in recovery mode, the green robot takes a few seconds longer with a blue bar below and then restarts.
What do you think can this be? or what can I try?

As you are able to boot into download mode so first flash a custom recovery like cwm and then.wipe cache partition ,factory reset and dalvik cache and then try flashing stock rom i think this will work

nothing....i have flash the recovery PHILZS but nothing...start only the download mode...the recovery restart.....

I apologize if the easy and simple fix to this issue has already been posted, but so far, I've read so many different "solutions"...none of wwhich has worked.
Yesterday, I accepted an OTA update, after which my tablet never booted up again. It will partially boot up, but will get "stuck" on the glowing Samsung logo. It will not proceed any further, and will just sit there on the logo until the battery wears out.
I've been able to get it to the menu to wipe data, etc (holding down the power button and volume up), which I DID, only to have the tablet reboot to the glowing logo and sit there yet again.
I don't know what to do. It doesn't sound like Samsung has a fix for this software problem? Or is there really something wrong with my tablet that I'd have to send it in? Sounds like others who have done this have received their tablets back, "fixed", only to have the same thing happen again when they did the OTA update, OR if they did the update through Kies.
I'm a newbie. I'm not a techie. If there IS a fix for this, can you give me STEP-BY-STEP instructions on what to do? AS if you are talking to a child? haha...thank you so much! I'm SO upset...my tablet was beautiful, and now it's just dead...

And exactly HOW do I "reboot into recovery"? Everytime I push power plus the volume up button, I get to a warning screen that says something about "warning, you are about to change the OS...continue or cancel" I cant get past this to even GET to the menu of "reboot", "wipe data", etc.
HELP!

Alright...I did get it into recovery mode, I factory reset it, then hit wipe cache partition. It started the process, THEN I saw "ERROR" flash quickly up on the screen. Then it began to boot up again, and here I am, STUCK ON THE GLOWING LOGO AGAIN.
This didnt work. Anybody else have a different suggestion?

again flash the rom with odin and then follow these steps
if not then please try to flash again with re partition unchecked

Alright, so the file I think I need is P5113UECLK7. Anybody have any ideas where I can download this? ALL LINKS I FIND are to site that have been shutdown, and it is NOT on the Sammobile site, either.

Hey there DetroitJulie....I have it, but for some reason I cant get the thing uploaded onto the site. Its becoming very irritating to say the least. If you want to pm me your email address i'll try and sent it that way. Ive got the .zip for recovery and the .tar file for odin.

have you tried it on samsung-updates.com there are uploaded.net links also there so it might work

Samsung-updates.com leads me to porn sites when I click on the download link. When a page DID load that said I could download the file, I clicked on the links, and the same page loaded again. This file is NOWHERE.
Please, someone send it to me, please!!!

then i guess you have to wait for hotfile links to be updated
that is the only way or if some friend of you having same tab and have account on dropbox googledoc or mediafire and have the file can help you

Many thanks to you, Chuck! I flashed it back to 4.1.1, then did the firmware update again, and it worked! My tablet is updated perfectly to 4.2.2.

Hi everyone, i am new to xda. Ive soft bricked my lenovo a800 by manually installing fonts and after reboot, soft bricked my phone. I have stock recovery with usb debugging disabled accidently. My pc is detecting my phone but cannot access it. Ive wanted to flash it to stock rom and flash tool is not detecting it. Does anyone has any solution to my worst problem ? please help cause i dont want to give away 500 to 700 bucks for a service center. Help me

Are you able to use the power button to "kind of" reboot? (like, it doesn't actually start up, but it still responds to the power button)

Thanks for replying. It boots and get stuck at lenovo loading screen. I dont even have nandroid backup.

The instructions to factory-reset your a800:
1. Press together : POWER + VOLUME UP about several second, a warning will appear onscreen.
2. Choose "Reset Device".
3. Reboot.
You should be back to stock and your problem fixed.

guys please help my my Lenovo A800 after 10 seconds it wel close again stock at Lenovo logo ,I can't even use factory mode,after 10 seconds it will close to,no choose directory,no choose clearing data or normal boot,nothing,only when I press Power and volume up,You are in factory mode press power button and the normal boot,and it will close,are this problem can be fix?
