Have you read the warning: Warning about rooting a wifi xoom?
So be cautious.
Here is a stock rooted ROM: [UPDATE][JB]Stock Android 4.1.2 JZO54K, Root, via CWM Recovery (US Wi-Fi MZ604).
I recommend to read the Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Frequently Asked Questions thread ... there you will find answeres for the basic questions.

[Completed] Unable to enter CWM recovery options after installing?

Hi , I want to install custom rom of cyanogen-12.1 on my samsung galaxy grand I9082(current ver 4.2.2). So i downloaded all the necessary zip files required for the process. Then I successfully installed "CWM touch recovery" zip using odin software. After that i installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25 zip file using cwm touch interface and rebooted my device. After reebooting i checked that SuperSU app was there in my phone and i verified this with Root Checker also(it showing-Congrats! root access is properly installed on this device! ).
Now i want to install custom rom of cyanogen and gapps zip files. When i am pressing (power+vol up+home) button it showing "No Command" and in the background there is Android robot laying down with the red triangle and the exclamation mark "Error!" message and after some time samsung's recovery mode options are coming with heading on top "Android system recovery <3e>".
what are my options-
1. Do i need to remove/uninstall current SuperSU and cwm?
2. someone suggested that i need to install Fix-recovery zip file also. For this do i need to follow process again for cwm and fix-recovery both using odin or fix-recovery only.
I dont know what to do please suggest really stuck!!

[Completed] htc sensation won't boot recovery after CWM update

hello, I'm preparing to flash a new ROM, hboot updated to 1.27.1111 Juopunut, S-off. I Flashed the image file for 'touch' CWM custom recovery via linux command line with android tools " fastboot flash recovery" method, now I cannot boot into recovery mode at all, screen hangs at logo. I might try to back up an image of an identical phone ( which is just s-off ) to see if I can restore from that. So far I have not seen a description of a fix for this. I also cannot restore to factory ROM from hboot menu, this also hangs at htc logo screen. Update: I worked on my other Sensation from command line, now it's boot looping. Any way I can restore these fine chunks and unload them?
