RECOVERY MODE : It is used to flash custom rom .
DOWNLOAD MODE: It is used to unlock bootloader basically.
CWM and CM Recovery Are Recovery's Used To Flash Custom Rom/Mod

I installed ROM manager on my galaxy 3 i5801
i wanted to go in recovery mode to clear batterystats.in but i'm not able to go in recovery mode as CWM Recovery is not installed i think..
can someone plz provide installer for CWM to go in recovery mode?

You can flash g3mod kernel, as it has the CWM recovery in built...

I have a I9001 aka Galaxy S Plus and wanted to flash newer version. When tried to enter recovery mode it gives me a black screen with ramdump mode written on it. Some search tells me that phone is soft bricked. Now, does anyone knows how to install clockwork recovery mode or any other recovery if clockwork is not possible. There was no flashing or any other upgrade of the phone while in my possession. No download or recovery mode and I have google it but could not find a relevant info or procedure for installation of recovery mode for I9001.

then my mobile s5830i kernel became rafeaul baugiss kernel but that custom ROM worked perfectly..
But when i tried to use dwnload mode in reboot, but it just reboot again without entering download mode..
then i came to realize that problem..

Odin is prescribed by many thread to flash back to original firmware..
but for odin, i need to enter into download mode
but my mobile can enter into clockmod recovery without anyissues...

It Happens to you Becoz, Micromax A89 Ninja Don't Have bootloader, It Has Only Recovery & Meta Mode in it.
By pressing the power and volume+ button together You will get the Recovery Mode,
AND By Pressing the Power & Volume- button you will get the Meta mode.
Meta mode is used for specially NVRAM.
So you Can't restart Your A89 to Bootloader Mode.

What's the use of "meta mod" then? If Im not wrong then to flash stock rom we need to boot into download mod. Right?

Meta is not The Download mode to stock rom in Micromax A89 Ninja,
and if u want to find for the process of flashing Stock ROM in Micromax A89 Ninja, then you don't need any download mode.
because We are using a device which has MTK Processor in it, and the model number of the processor is MT6577.
So for flashing the stock ROM in a MTK processor's phone you don't need any download mode. Although A89 or Many other MTK model's Device don't have the Bootloader/Download mode.
& You are Partially right about - to flash stock rom we need to boot into download mod. its Really true, But this process is not applicable For A89 Ninja. this process is for some other kind of devices...

Yes obviously I flashed Stock ROM Minimum 20 Times, for Various reasons...(With SP Flash Tool)
I tried Installing MOD SAMYPOP rom in my gt-i8262....and when I reboot my phone....
my phone stucked in bootloop........ also no recovery mode is starting.....................!!!
i tried reinstalling cwm and TWRP recovery via odin in order to open recovery mode and install my backup through it...but it is also not working unable to get recovery mode..
....so finally tried to flash the stock firmware through ODIN..... but it iz still in boot loop.......
Damn man in a big trouble.....
if anyone having any idea.... then plz tell guys....

Q. Have you got in cwm recovery loop i.e. when you reboot your phone it goes in recovery mode?
ANS. No probs. Just remove your battery and open download mode manually by pressing Power button+Home+volume down key. If you do like this only then download mode will support your odin otherwise it won’t support. After this just flash your cwm recovery again.
Q. Stuck on boot animation?
ANS. Just download adb (android debug bridge) minimum requirements. Sideload your rom . It may seem to you that you got stuck there but don’t panic, wait at least 5 minutes. After that remove your battery and press (Power+Home+volume up) upto it shows samsung screen and then release. Then just install your rom from recovery mode. ENJOY…………………….
