[Completed] [Q] Loss of mobile data after rom install - XDA Assist

Hello,
I have just rooted my phone and flashed with tbe jedi x rom. All seems to be working well hiwever I no longer have mobile data. No 4g or anything but I can make calls.
When I go into settings and select ee as carrier then check access point names it says virgin media.
Am I doing or have done something wrong or do I just need my mobile operator to refresh the settings? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Karl.

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Contact your carrier and ask them to give you the correct APN details for their service, once you have this information make sure that the information on your phone matches, if it doesn't just create a new APN with the correct details.
Good luck!

[Q] Help with formatting Verizon S3

Hi - I am a newbie so bear with me. I have a a Verizon I535 Samsung Galaxy S3. I live in Minot ND where Verizon is predominant, but AT&T has decent coverage here. My idea was to break my contract with Verizon and go with Prepaid Net10 (so I purchased the AT&T Micro SIM from them).
My phone had the recent update so it was running 4.1.2 version of software.
I also rooted my phone via the latest Casual Root ToolKit made by BeansTown106. So I rooted it first, then I ported my phone number to the new SIM card and put the SIM card in my phone.
I had also downloaded APN Manager pro as I knew once I added a new APN I would need to delete the old one. My problem is I can't get this app to work, nor any other APN app that I download (I tried HedgeHog, Tweaker, and others). I have read that these apps won't work for deleting APNs with the version of software I am running?
Not sure if I even have the right APN either, because the service is poor and I have no data. I am also getting the annoying "NON-VERIZON SIM" message.
Here are my questions:
1. Is there a way for a newbie to delete the old APN - step-by-step instructions would be helpful!
2. Does anyone have a good APN for NET10 AT&T for this phone?
Thank you in advance, I am learning so much here! :good:

[Completed] [Q] Flashed CM12 To Galaxy S5(SM-G900F) and now I have no cell service

Hey everyone. I recently flashed the new CM12 rom to my Galaxy S5 and mostly everything works fine. The only problem I have is I can't make calls and/or send text messages. My carrier is Sprint and my model was formerly SM-G900P however after I flashed CM12 it now says SM-G900F. Whenever I click on mobile plan it says "Sprint has no known provisioning website". I can't even access the APN settings. Can someone please help me fix this, I love CM12 and would rather not go back to stock. I have no problems with my IMEI/MEID number, and under Status in settings my phone number still comes up however for Network it says "Searching for Service" and for Mobile Network Type it says "Unknown", it also says "Disconnected" for Mobile Network state. Is their any way to fix this?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. From what I can see you have the Sprint S5 (CDMA) but it looks as though you've flashed a ROM for the GSM model. GSM and CDMA are totally different mobile technologies so using a GSM ROM on a CDMA device will result in exactly what's happened to you. Where did you find the ROM that you flashed? Can you provide a link please?
Your device forum is here:
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 5
Make sure you bookmark that page. Make sure you only ever use ROMs/kernels/mods/modems etc from within that specific device forum for your device. There are many different variants of the S5 and you can't mix and match ROMs, this time you probably got lucky but flashing the wrong firmware can very easily brick your device.

[Completed] [Q] Need help with Xperia Z2A

Hi there, this is my first thread and i have a problem with my friend phone, we are in Argentina and he bought a 4G SIM card without knowing that the band of the mobile phone is not compatible with the band 4 that uses our operator Movistar. I want to know how can i flash the modem of this mobile or if you can give me some solution to change bands in this phone. Thank you.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately it isn't as simple as changing the modem, what you're dealing with is a hardware limitation. This is why it's important to research a device before purchasing. The options are to change carrier or change the phone.
Good luck!

[Completed] Verizon to T-Mobile: Enabling hotspot on an unlocked phone?

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 that I have unlocked and am using on the T-Mobile network. Unfortunately, even though I have tethering/hotspot capabilities with my current service plan, I cannot use my hotspot or tethering features; I always receive a 'mobile number not found' error message. This is obviously a problem that needs to be fixed using root, but I'm really not finding any guides on how to go about the process. Assuming I root the device, I still wouldn't know how to go about modifying any of the current hotspot functions.
This seems to be an issue that a lot of people have, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

[Completed] Lumia 820 4G icon missing im using Windows 10 build 14393.576

Any idea About that
Hi there and welcome to assist,
It's possible that the 4G functionality is not enabled for your device.
You need to check with your provider whether they haven't done anything (not) clever before selling the phone to you, like installing a different version of firmware.
Now that you have updated to the correct firmware version the 4G option may have been disabled.
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.
Good luck
